      One note to you on that disconnect Bluetooth thing. If next time you find out ur music won’t play don’t just disconnect it try to put ur car music input to the AUX and then click back and choose it back to Bluetooth connection. And you should hear the music no problem. It’s much faster than do the disconnect phone thing

    The poor turning radius is common in vehicles with wide front tires.

    I bought a used BMW 128i with 97,000 miles with an extended warranty. Within the first month a rod bearing failed and destroyed the engine, so it needed to be replaced. Two months later the valve body became severely worn causing a shutter at speeds of 45-65mph. Thus, my transmission had to be replaced. My local mechanics could have started charging me seasonal storage fees, as my car spent more time in the shop than it did in my garage. However, all is now at bay and my car drives like the dream it was meant to be from the start. While my case is quite extreme, my advice to anyone buying a used BMW is this: understand the previous owner(s) might have seriously abused the car you’re about the buy.

    I bought a late 2018 M3 Comp and I was getting buyers regret, but then I drove it around the neighborhood and just couldn't process why I'd ever sell it after growing up with a poster of a e36 m3 on my wall. People who have never ridden in one or driven a M3 will have many excuses as to why its a bad purchase or just doesn't make sense but once you get the chance to be in it or to drive it hard and feel what its about.... its really really difficult to justify it as a bad purchase.

    I'm not surprised you are finding it a tad difficult to handle the torque delivery, if you're giving it 3,500 to 4,000 revs steering into a left hand corner/junction 06:37, - just an observation, sir.
    Also getting confused with your upshift and downshift, when the steering wheel is in a different orientation - is poor driving technique, sorry. 🤔

    ONE THING TO BE ADDED AND UNDERSTOOD, THE FACT THAT IT HAS A LOW RADIUS TURN IS BECAUSE IT WAS NOT BUILD TO TURN, THIS CAR DRIFTS, SO YOU TURN THE CAR BUILDING REVS AND DRIFTING SAME AS U DID WHEN U TURN LEFT EXPLAINING THE HIGH ENGINE TORQUE.
    LIKE THAT AWE EXHAUST

  • @ZerumRmZ
    @ZerumRmZ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm a German BMW owner in Germany and 1) the torque isn't unpredictable in this car, it's the complete opposite. Torque will always kick in since it's a supercharged engine but it has a smooth torque curve compared to some other supercharged cars and it will come always at the same rpm so it IS predictable. Don't buy a supercharged car at all if you don't want this behaviour. 2) shift paddles at the steering wheel are way more expensive to engineer and to fabric than static ones. They are made this way for a reason: it's track optimized, so you can still shift if your steering wheel is in 90°degrees.
    The only thing you mentioned I find annoying as well is the sound of the window. But you can solve that pretty easy.

    Very good video! As a fellow F82 owner, I agree with most of your comments, especially the seat logos and the unpredictable torque. Replacing the logos with the newer black ones is well worth the ~ $300 investment, in my opinion. I have just gotten used to the cold start loudness but I agree it’s pretty annoying (especially in my 1-car garage). I took my traction control off twice but I’ve been “scared straight” after a pretty good “snap” under moderate acceleration. Not worth pushing this very powerful car to hard...can be very expensive ;)
    All in all, I absolutely love my car and I hope that you get as much joy out of yours! Cheers! 🍻

You do not need to wait for revs to settle, you can, AND SHOULD go and drive right away because lubrication of the engine is much better when you drive compared to idle standstill. Keep the revs low until it reaches optimal temperature, but go drive straight away.

Once connected with the iphone cable, you must either disconnect and re-connect the phone, but much easier, you can hit the options button when your phone is highlighted in the bluetooth menu, and just re enable the media directly rather than having to disconnect and reconnect the phone.

The paddle shifters are good the way they are, if you drive with your hands on them they are always available when u turn, for parking manoeuvres use the shifter, this way you won't get mixed up. so you did a whole video about 5 minor things: the long cold start (is 2 minutes even long? anybody with a sports car never pulls straight out of the driveway, i always let mine drop to 600 rpms before I pull out unless I'm in a rush) the windows squealing which you said is easily fixed with some product (any high end car owner takes care of their vehicle regularly) a bad turn radius, when many cars have much worse and you can easily get used to, and then torque curve, also known as turbo lag, which pushes power to the wheels at different times on any car with a turbo depending on the air flow and the gear you're in, (at least any car under $300k+)? I have a 435i which is the little brother, and even I lose traction on the turbo lag sometimes where my wheels will spin when the gears change, (you can also turn traction control on at all times) and then lastly you can easily fix the bluetooth issue by a. plugging in your phone, or having a mechanic reset the software. like you sat there and said how awesome it was, and even showed a random dude coming up saying how hard it is. Just seems like you're reaching. You even said how nice everything is made and how much you love it. Come on brother. This shit is hard

    I love the cold start! It is long because there is so much involve with the engineering in how it warms up all the oil through out the engine. Moreover, you can technically drive during the cold start mode but you'll notice your rev limited "red line is temp" shorter like 4,000 rpm so you dont damage the engine. If you abuse it- it will leak oil cause the pressure is balance and warmed up yet. (the famous oil leak!) So, yes always let the car warm up.
