I mean I hate it when people go "trust me I can drive" and drive like an absolute idiot on the road 😢 my brother in law is like that.. he likes to tell me he used to have a racing liscence but I've never seen it , and when I get into a car with him .. I don't know , he can't drive he puts other peoples lives in danger . One time he was racing another car on the freeway and cut someone off (someone that was just driving along on the highway having nothing to do with the race) I never got into a car with my brother in law again
Just bought one 2015 with 60k you won't regret it but I think car's to quick for a manual ok past 2nd and do miss sliding on front wheels round corners but no regrets it's a weapon and I love it
@@bigyoshi2456 It prolly depends on the drive modes I guess, but it responds sometimes quit different. Sometimes it takes ages that the clutch is grabbing and sometimes its grabbing instant. Its not that its happening that often, maybe it happened in 2 years 5 times, but you just question yourself xD idk hard to explain But no its definetly not affecting the driving at all! Maybe just me messing up the drive modes sometimes

Good vid but please try to keep both hands on the wheel when you're in peak power, especially mid corner. If you lose a bit of grip mid corner with one hand of the stick and one on the wheel you're in for a surprise pretty quickly.

@@JooseI agree, to an extent. I’ve never owned an automatic car in my life. Every car has been manual. I currently own a 2017 MK7 GTI 6spd (extensively modded), and tbh, the 6spd and clutch is pretty junk from the factory. I’ve gone through 4 aftermarket clutches in my GTI’s lifetime, which is ridiculous (one slipped after 50k miles, and three others had slave/tob failures within 12k miles each just ridiculous). The shifter assembly is also very squishy and doesn’t have much feel to it. I’ve upgraded everything, and now it feels amazing, but that came at a decently high cost for it to feel good and be reliable. Point is is that, for driving pleasure, yes, I agree, manuals are always better IMO. But the MK7 GTI 6spd factory driving pleasure is pretty low IMO, and due to the clutch failures, and money spent to make it good, I would say the DSG is just the better gearbox for this car, and if I had to do it all over again, I would get the DSG.
I’m about to buy an r line 2016 2.0 diesel from 2016 and i can’t wait, only thing is, it has 219k km, the car is in pristine conditions also test drove it and it runs buttery smooth. Would you say it’s worth it with 219k km? Edit: i’m giving back 2 cars and got a 3300€ discount and i gotta pay 11200€ for the rest, would you say it’s worth it for this price?
