    Poodles are my favorite dog. I have had Standard Poodles and Miniature Poodles and now I want a Toy Poodle so bad I can't stand it. I have had Poodles my whole life and I'm now 52 years old. Poodles are awesome. I pray that God will bless me with a Toy Poodle someday. May God bless you always! Bily Curless Wichita,Kansas, USA

      @bilycurless I just had to comment because I'll be turning 52 (not relevant but I thought a funny coincidence), and I was obsessed with getting a toy poodle! My dream finally came true in April. She is amazing and I hope that you now have a toy poodle yourself 🙂

    Nice video! We just got a Toy Poodle puppy a little over two weeks ago (he's now about 3 months old), and he is a complete joy of a pup!! I can honestly say there are three things in this video that I discovered very quickly to be true. 1) He is extremely intelligent. 2) He LOVES praise! Praise works better on him than any treats we've tried so far. 3) He definitely loves to chew on anything. Fabric, pants, grass, sticks, fingers, toys, bones, and even his own feet! LOL. He learns very quickly, is very affectionate, LOVES to sleep, relax, AND play, and has a keen ear. I just need to find a good treat to help with training, as he could take or leave the ones we've tried so far. I can't wait to see what else he has in store, and I'm SO happy we got him!! Happy Poodling. LOL

    Have Standard Poodle and mini cookapoo. Both have a crate suitable to their size. The standard Poodle insists in going to the smaller crate. Probably a dominance thing but it is funny watching the Standard Poodle getting out.

    “No” is not a command, it’s “leave it” you can teach a pup to leave it.

      You can say no before leave it

    I've been fostering a small Toy Poodle, that was a rescue. He is apparently 4 years old. It seems he was an accident victim, perhaps with a car or e-bike. He has slight neck damage, his head tilts to the right, frequently, and he does not pay attention to normal voice level sounds.It would seem his brain is somewhat scrambled. 4 years old, and yet he acts like a puppy. how do you train (retrain) such a dog?from basic focus attention through potty/house training, stopping play biting, to simple issues like walking on and off leash and coming to heal? at times it is playful but also highly scatterbrained and crashes into things in its enthusiastic play as though it has no situational and spacial awareness. It even frequently falls down grate holes in stormwater drains, as though it doesn't see them. Im the foster, I'm not skilled or trained with dogs, but I use youtube to improve my understanding so as to do a better foster job. But, in this I am really challenged and stumped.

    Holy cow - that’s a lot of talking about a crate. A much better use of my time would have included more specific talk about when and how often and in which order to train my poodle.

    As a dog trainer I must say this series that you're doing on how to train a husky or how to train a poodle, I have no idea why there would be a different way with different commands or tasks to do.? When I go and train a dog and their owner I use the same methods the same thing with every single day. The only thing I change is to the nature and personality and characteristics of that dog. So things might need to be tweaked a little bit. But how to train a poodle as if that would be different than how to train a mix breed or Corgi. I just don't understand.

      I think (imho) and having showed and trained dogs that there are different personality traits in dogs. I think this guy is simply playing to those personalities, which works?

    How do you teach them not to jump on kids or bite

    • @lstmargera9352
      @lstmargera9352 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You push forward or lift your knee so they do not have you front body to stand on, this will cause them to drop down on their four legs, then you turn your back. Do not reward bad behavior with pets or treats, reward good behaviors and reduce attention or affection when they're displaying a negative behavior. Also exercise your dog, a tired dog is a more calm and obedient dog.

    I don’t know what we did wrong, but our 9 week old toy poodle didn’t want to be in His play pen, He would whine all night long.
