1:23:58 My friend did background on Red One and at least for the days she was filming The Rock and Chris Evans were on set together, they had stand-ins for lighting and such but for the scenes she shot they were there! just wanted to share! love dead meat and you guys!
A fun thing my partner and i do every year is rank every movie we've watched. We each make our own, independent list and then combine our lists together to find out what our collective ranking would be. Its very fun! (each placement is worth itself in points, number one film is 1 point, and it combined with the other persons placement. So my 1st place movie could be their 12th place movie and it would end with 13 points.)
Of the ones I've seen (thus far, don't roast me for things I haven't watched yet): CLASSIC: - The Silence of the Lambs - The Exorcist - The Terminator - Beetlejuice TOP-TIER: - The Menu - Smile - Nope - Killer Klowns From Outer Space - M3GAN - Pearl GREAT S**T: - The Lost Boys - Five Nights at Freddy's - Red Dragon - Totally Killer - Abigail - MaXXXine - Thanksgiving GOOD BUT...: - Orphan: First Kill - Lisa Frankenstein - Halloween Ends - It's a Wonderful Knife I haven't seen any that I would put in the last three categories (f*** off, Mouse Crap). I know I have some of the most divisive movie takes on the planet, but please let me have my thoughts.
Honestly his reasoning sold me. The kid plot keeps it from being classic. Nobody thinks about that when they talk about how much they love it. You can't just pretend it doesn't exist when ranking it. (I mean you can, but James didn't! haha)
I love everyone disagreeing about whether Smile and M3gan should be in Classic over Lost Boys. Then seconds later everyone IMMEDIATELY agreeing that Hannibal Rising is Dogwater
Silence should have gotten its own tier like Mouse Trap did. It makes most of the other movies on the list look like I did them, and I'm still in film school (to be fair, Mouse Trap does look like I made it).
You should definitely do these for past years and potentially goldenchainsaws of the year too. They are enjoyable to watch content wiss and fairly easily production wise
I kinda forget how of much of straight guy James is until I see him name his tiers 😂 he’s a straight man after all and we love him for it Like where are the “Fergie National Anthem - S Teir”s at 😂
58:31 I found Ice Nine Kills from you and then they were supposed to open for metallica and I was so excited to see them but they got cut because there was a two hour lightning storm delay. 😢
@@brico9785 yeah I was in the pit with my boy the first night and night two my girlfriend and I were in the stands and she was really excited about ice nine but we ended up getting rained on
Regarding Halloween Ends, I never wanna hear anyone ask for something new and fresh from the franchise after their horrible reception to Ends - Ends is a great film and a great conclusion to the franchise and trilogy.
I get where you're coming from, but Halloween Ends would've made a good 2nd movie in the trilogy. Kills is such a "nothing" part 2, that I would've gladly watched Ends as the second movie and then moved on to a proper 3rd entry where everything comes to a climatic collision. James had it right. Good movie, bad trilogy finale.
I agree. It's not a good franchise movie by any means, but as just a thriller about a bullying victim slowly molding himself in the image of a former serial killer, I found it very entertaining and with a decent message.
In my opinion the classics are The Exorcist, The Silence of the Lambs, The Terminator, The Return of the Living Dead, Late Night With The Devil, Pearl, manhunter and From Dusk Till Dawn
You guys need to do a podcast episode with the Willems and do another bracket! That's the crossover I've been waiting for! It'd be cool if Ryan Hailey or Cosmonaut Marcus were involved in some way, too. Pipe dream for that though!
This was fun! But I really was hoping James would go with the award show theme and make the top spot the "Prime Rib", like the movies he thought were worthy when it could be more than one. Not sure about the others, lol. That's why he's funnier than me. But when he said we would go in a different direction, that's what I was hoping for.
Great content, as always! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I'll never get why people love Smile so much. Sure, it has its strenghts (the birthday scene, most of the acting, the first kill) but its essentially just a very predictable jumpscare-festival
Late Night With The Devil is tied with In A Violent Nature as my favorite movie of the year maybe just below it so I'd put it at Top Tier The Lost Boys I'd put in Classic because similar to what James said I would say Classic is what breaks through into Pop Culture because M3GAN broke TikTok, Smile got a Call of Duty Collab that's pretty big, Terminator is parodied and referenced all the time, etc and I think Lost Boys is one of those but I'm biased Lost Boys is special to me for personal reasons, the FNAF games would be Classic but the movie even though I love all the Fan Service it's got problems but it's good I'm beyond happy to see Wishmaster in top tier, because if I were to make a checklist of all my favorite things in Horror this movie would check every box
I get it, opinions are subjective. But thanksgiving absolutely should be great shit. Funny, great kills, a smart killer with a good motivation, and a cat lives!
James getting a head start at doing more miscellaneous videos. Dont even have to wait till 2025. LFG!! 🙌 Edit: I would absolutely lose it if you collaborated with Wendigoon and/or Meatcanyon. I always stop what I'm doing for both you AND their videos. I would die with tears of joy. 🙏
There should have been a tier for movies that are just fun. Maybe something between "Great Shit" and "Good, but..." like Chelsea had hinted at. Something along the lines of Good Fun or just Braindead Fun. May have helped James decide on some of the movies he struggled. But, I don't watch horror movies, so my opinion is moot.
Kind of sad that James and Chelsea don't watch Doctor Who, when there is SO MUCH horror content in it. I know they would vibe with the Weeping Angels and the Silence.
I have the same aversion to it as I do to Star Trek. Sixty years of content is way too much to keep up with at this point, especially with TV shows, which are way more time consuming than movies.
Dear James sorry if I upset you with Red Dragon comment that you read on the live stream I do love both films I just slightly enjoy Red Dragon a tiny bit better I do prefer Manhunter's Graham to Norton because he reminds me of agents in the FBI I've met and Anthony Hopkins should've used the same amount he was in Manhunter however Ralph Fiennes' Tooth Fairy and his romance leans it slightly over Manhunter
Also it's just that Red Dragon and more importantly Silence of the Lambs mean a lot personally because it helped my mom be able to have the job she does now specifically because of Clarice
I thought you disagreed very politely and that is absolutely what makes this channel's community great! A variety of opinions makes everyone feel welcome!
Even after watching the Kill Count, I really don't see what James sees in Influencer. It's ok, but there's not much to it and it's not really a horror movie. Its plot structure is so stilted and segmented.
Imagine ranking every kill counted in 2024
Swear half would be “offscreen kills”
If he just did a golden chainsaw ranking, that’d be rad & doable.

I watched the 1922 Nosferatu recently and I think it holds up really well. It’s a classic and not only because it came out 100 years ago
Of the ones I've seen (thus far, don't roast me for things I haven't watched yet):
CLASSIC:
- The Silence of the Lambs
- The Exorcist
- The Terminator
- Beetlejuice
TOP-TIER:
- The Menu
- Smile
- Nope
- Killer Klowns From Outer Space
- M3GAN
- Pearl
GREAT S**T:
- The Lost Boys
- Five Nights at Freddy's
- Red Dragon
- Totally Killer
- Abigail
- MaXXXine
- Thanksgiving
GOOD BUT...:
- Orphan: First Kill
- Lisa Frankenstein
- Halloween Ends
- It's a Wonderful Knife
I haven't seen any that I would put in the last three categories (f*** off, Mouse Crap). I know I have some of the most divisive movie takes on the planet, but please let me have my thoughts.
Five nights at Freddy's being great shit is wild, but I'm glad you liked the movie!
putting the lost boys in any other tier than classic is crazy.
its a classic, but his ranking system is just a b c d e f but with different names. he should have called it smth else

Terminator 1 is my favorite as it’s one of my all time favorite movies and I never thought he’d do a KC
I'm surprised nobody suggested naming the bottom tier as "ThanksKilling 3"
"Fill in the butt!" - James 2024
You're going to top it because you are going to come out with a movie. 2025 Deadmeat movie

Creepshow would be an S-tier kill count if it ever gets covered
So pleased to hear big love for Smile 2. What a film! What a character especially.

Will you do the kill count tier for 2024 next week?
ok but is ‘dog water’ water that a dog would drink or dog piss? genuinely unsure
Nope is one of my personal top 10 movies and my favorite horror (as someone who is easily scared). I hope more people come to love it.
36:23 when evil lurks is better then smile and Megan in my opinion
Late Night With The Devil is tied with In A Violent Nature as my favorite movie of the year maybe just below it so I'd put it at Top Tier
