Being homeless on and off for the majority of my late teens and 20s, I got used to a pretty non-material lifestyle. In the years since I've been trying to break that a little bit, and convince myself that it isn't a bad thing to start to accumulate material possessions, but stuff like the fires you guys are seeing there, or all the hurricanes we get here in Florida makes me kind of apprehensive about getting attached to material possessions. I'm glad you guys are okay, but I know you guys have a whole lot of memorabilia and kill count paraphernalia, so it has to be rough knowing that just something like the wind blowing in a certain direction could take that all away from you...

Why am I not surprised James is that out of touch with indigenous concerns and can just casually mention the W*ndigo that indigenous people have made aware on multiple fronts to not speak or mention W*ndigo and how awful Until Dawn is as an IP cause of how exaggerated it takes indigenous folklore with a "more deadly" W*ndigo which western culture always seems to be obsessed with power scaling? I'm disappointed he is this out of touch with indigenous concerns and is this adjacent to people who appropriate indigenous culture like Stephen King and stuff. I feel if he were the ally he shacks himself up to be he'd make aware of how indigenous people would feel about a creature this tied to their culture is being taken up by someone with no native affiliation and ties to the tribes that brought up the W*ndigo and I make great priority to censor the name cause of how much weight the W*ndigo is upheld in these tribes yet it's awful James will just say it so nonchalantly and almost erase it from it's indigenous roots by keeping W*ndigo locked into just "horror" to him when it's so much more. Last year 1/3rd of Jasper Town in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada burned down. Feels like the fires are happening closer to cities each year. Or... the cities are getting closer to the regular fire zones 😐

I've lived here my whole life and this week has been something unlike anything I've ever seen. Absolutely heartbreaking. I had to evac for the Kenneth fire but luckily it was only for a couple hours before they had it pushing away from my neighborhood. But still super scary.

I'd like to give my two cents and say that I don't think this movie is about faith in the religious sense but having faith in ones friends. It's all about the girls talking to each-other and Paxton ended up trusting Barnes on which door to choose. Even though it didn't matter, it's still Barnes choices and she suffers for it as Paxton lives. Also, the butterfly motif is an aspect of reincarnation which is not really a Christian concept. (Thinking on it a bit more, it could also be faith in the choices one makes, as Barnes had a contraceptive implant in her arm which is also against the church!)

This was one of the quickest hours of my life, I loved seeing a group of people share and bond over similar interests. Bray and Bo are such inspirations creatively and it’s fascinating to learn about their creative processes. Nothing but love, thank you for this. And the rapper’s name in Old is Midsize Sedan, which I find hilarious

I also like what this interpretation brings to Friedrich’s plotline; he is incapable of seeing that there is evil in this world, and that denial is what ultimately destroys his perfect family unit.

Great episode! I loved when Thomas arrived home on his horse and he just kind of slid off and fell to the ground. I cracked up 😂 And then when Frederick kicked them out of his home and he was limping through the street while Ellen tried to hold him up. Poor Thomas really went through it in his movie!

I still can't decide about the Orlok's look, I get the director's intention, if you are making a remake you need to make something different, not just a 1:1 adaptation, but Orlok's look is so iconic, so part of the cultural horror phenomenon, and at the same time you can see how it can be a joke because not all of the shots in the original made him look like a horror creature and more like a funny one. Time will tell, it's logical for him to have a mustache but again, Orlok is iconic.

I’d really love to see someone do a remake of Camilla exploring the difficulty of being gay and wanting to explore those feelings and desires that are seen as “monstrous”
