You need to take a minimum 10 shots on the middy/3pter on good % to get a hot zone. 20 in the close shot and inside. 50% 3pters and middy (or 60% for middy). Close shot and inside 70% I think because I can’t get hot zones on the middle and right close range. It’s possible to lose them if you miss enough from the zone (I hit 50% on the right mid range and lost the hot zone from it).

@@nba2ktutescorrection. You have to shoot 10 shots at the 3pt line at the spot and it has to be a percentage over 50% for hot zones.
Its inconsistent. I have a midrange zone at 59% hot and a midrange zone at 65% and it’s neutral. These inconsistencies have been here in previous 2ks for midrange n close shot. 3 pointer easiest to get hot

For anybody losing to lethal shooter. Do the lethal spots first when you don't have a hot zones. He will miss 2-4 shots per zone instead of hitting everything. Then play a rookie game and turn them lethal
How can you do a lethal spot, if you don’t have a hot zone ?! How can you turn lethals in my career? I’ve tried and failed
@Benz-0 you would do the lethal drills and turn the spots from neutral to hot. Then play career. If you have the hot spots already. Play a streetball game and miss a bunch of spots there. Sounds complicated, but it's petty quick
You cant get lethal zones from career? Only from the lethal shooter gym

i’m convinced hot zones are completely random this year. some builds i’ll get the mid range ones shooting 9/12 but on another build i’m 21/22 from a middy spot and still no luck
The threshold for hot zones in my career is 10 shots. The % to get a hot zone varies by area though (i.e., > 60% from 3, > 70% middy, > 80% inside paint). Can’t remember what those corresponding %’s were though
iirc it's 40% from 3, 50% from mid, 60% in the paint.

I think the art of shooting gym is bugged because it’s been 2 almost 3 weeks since they let me go in it keep saying I already completed my workout

That means you picked the option for 3 zones which is 3 weeks.
If you try to get three zones you can’t go back for three weeks
If you miss a shot in MC you can also save and quit, and it won’t record the missing shot. It will return to the last bucket made by either team or dead ball.
Are lethal zones permanent? And can you lose them? Or nah once you get a lethal zone you have it permanently ?
I did the three week one and ain’t seen bro after the three weeks was up keeps saying I already did my drills.
Same issue for me. In 2K24 it reset right at 12am EST and I assumed it worked the same way this year, but I'm waiting a bit more because maybe it follows the exact hour like the Gatorade workouts.

i got 2 red zones quick, from the art of shooting, because i messed up instead of picking the one that gives you 3 hot zones from the get go.. but as i've been playing the game, my 2 red zones are now lethal, and i unlocked a third zone somehow which is at "red". But the problem is i can't do anymore drills in the art of shooting gym, it says the workout has been completed now and its been more than a week
It's 20 makes and it turns hot. On 12 min qtrs I get 3 per game
Mannn I just went 30/32 10 shots made each zone and nothing changed…..

Bruh I accidentally hit quit drill instead of closing the app. It was on 3 Zones and I don’t know if I can do it again in a week or 3 weeks. Does anyone know how long it will take for me to try again if I quit?

Hot zones dont even make sense. I have zones that are hot with like 55% and 50 total shots then I have zones that are not hot with 60% and more shots. The requirements dont seem to apply evenly even zones of the same distance

This affecting gameplay is garbage. So how well you shoot from there affects hotzones. Yet hotzones affect how well you shoot from there? Doesn't that cancel each other out..?

Also tip for you bad kids that can’t shoot turn on real player percentage you will hit at least 80% of your shots in career

There was just a hotfix for this, I had the same issue but it's now resolved.

Listen to me rn you need to have each zone on the 3pt line over 56% percent you can check this in your my stats go to roster click on your and press r3 then go to hot zone percentage and press nba total if your zones are not 56% and higher it won’t be hot zone trust me I am right
