Shooting in my court is not the real test because i can go 20/20 in there. The test going to a court in the park and test the jumpshots because of latency.
I find a way to get latency in there, open your friends list in my court, click on any friends name and it will say “connect to server”. After pressing once you step on you will notice the game has a considerable delay as now you are operating over the server

i personally dont see the point in going with a high risk profile when there is no 100% green window in the game. If there is rng in the profile that SPECIFICALLY goes against rng, why would anyone use that profile?

Fax i started off using high risk and was shooting 35% switched to normal and i still greened the same amount of shots but made a few whites here and there. So in general it’s worth the chance at making a white.
Because if your timing is good you will make more. 100% green window or not doesn’t matter. If your timing is all over the place go with normal or low.

i’ll be honest i decided i was not dealing with inconsistencies in my shooting so i made a build with 99 mid and 89 three. been playing on high risk, i definitely need more games played but so far it feels like there’s a pure green window just its miniscule, id say about 2/10ths of a second. and this is with a good jumper and legend set shot specialist.

There is no pure green windows in 2k25, which i think high risk should have a pure green window because the reward is not good enough compared to the normal risk reward which has similar shooting percentages even if you time it perfectly. Make high risk pure and it actually has a purpose

Normal risk is almost certainly where I belong. I'm a casual player and not that skilled. But a white going in just isn't as satisfying as a green, so I'm still tempted to try and play with high risk and rhythm shooting like some creators are recommending. It makes me wonder, though, will I actually improve my skills using the harder method, or just miss more shots?

Shooting is not hard, it’s not about timing your shot. It’s about timing your animation shot timing (set,release,push,jump) if you time that perfect your not going to hit 100% more like 60% but that based on things like 3pt rating, coverage etc. That’s how they get us to shoot “real shooting percentage.
You should test if high-risk allows you to green more contested shots. Iʻve found with rhythm shooting and high-risk, I make light contests and opens much more. Against CPU in MyTeam, I just shoot it regardless of how close the defender is if the player has a high release and decent 3pt rating.
Hiting your time jump do not mean you gonna make the shot, so no meaning of using high risk, maybe only if u want to make some contested shots, if u are a corner man like me, just use normal risk and give a shot to motion shot too!
There is whole game mode for the high-risk users, so to feel some type of way because someone is using the other shot profiles is ridiculous. 2k finally gave the community a ranked mode and the “high skilled players” don’t want to use it nor play someone just as skilled or better than them. Make it make sense.
Found this during early access. I read normal and as soon as I saw like other 2K’s I chose it. I’ll wait until I start greening more to move to high risk.
What base is that tutes? im trying to try it out I’m using Corey kispert base they’re very similar, even though I’m shooting 58% w this shot I prefer that animation up and down w no twitch which kispert has
tried them all and for me the most consistent was low risk. don’t have to worry about timing just shoot and the games gonna give u whites that go in and an some greens. i’ve hit early’s and late’s that just fly in😂😂

Well it's because they haven't yet settled on an ideal system that pleases most players...or even their own selves. So it's just an ongoing experiment to land on something that simulates real shooting, and can be considered "easy to learn, but tough to master". I think they are on the right track with the rhythm shooting thing...flicking the joystick back and forth in rhythm with the jump shot makes sense to me

I feel like I'm shooting naked with square. Maybe take popular jump shots from TH-camrs and show us the cue on push/release(I think barely anyone uses jump and set point). ...in theory does this mean practicing on normal risk would actually make you better at high risk? because if you can time 75-90% perfect on medium risk...wouldmt you get better at the biggest green window?
