I would recommend you ladies to wear a silk/satin scarf with the bonnet also. It just holds the hair in place even more, so it won’t be messed up when you wake up 🙏🏽

I figured this out like 2-3 years in. I was so pressed. 🤨😒😂 You are beautiful, so is your hair & make up!
Luv the curls. It look like mine. I either roll my silk press curls or i pin curl it. I also started mostly only rolling the back and only pin curl the front. My silk press can last about at least 4 weeks and i maybe can stretch it to 6 weeks it just depend on how my hair decide to act after the initial silk press is done.

What type of rollers do you use
@@trenishastanislas7612 I bought them from Aimin Hair on Amazon. I was looking for my favorite color rollers in Pink that would be easy to sleep in. I found these foam rollers. They work wonders on all kind of hair.

I’m definitely trying this on my next silk press! I completely forgot about pin curls. I haven’t tried them since I had a relaxer (and even then I only did it once). I think the 4 pin curls will work perfectly for my density. Your hair looked so cute!

Just straightened it today, but I use flexi rods. They give a similar effect.
I want to try that method. It's just hard for me to sleep with those in!

My stylist told me to get a lunch lady hair net & then just throw a bonnet on top. Helps the hair breathe a little better
I mean this method is okay if you want a slight curl, but if you're wearing it straight, wrapping it is the best method and it still looks great.

Wrapping over them with a scarf helps keep them in for me/
I got a silk press 2 days ago for the first time in 6 years. On my second night home I pin curled it and sweated it out overnight 😭😭😭 Had to go right back to my stylist so she could fix it

You take a tepid shower….not extremely hot. If you can’t do that, take a bath 🤷🏽♀️
And don’t close your bathroom door.. open windows if possible as well.. all these helps the steam from showering to escape

I got curls today for the first time with a silk press instead of bone straight and then I went to go get my brows done and lay down on my hair without pushing the curls forward 🙈 So dumb, they are already gone

The pin curls make her curls flat and the clips leave marks. She should pull it up in a ponytail and use soft rollers. It will curl the entire head and no flat and clip marks.
