Loen Skylift's Spectacular Scenery

- Loen Skylift - Olden, Norway
When visiting Olden, there are two things you need to do. Visit the Briksdal Glacier and the Loen Sky Lift. We booked independent tours with Olden Adventures.
A short bus ride to Loen saw us at the foot of the cable car. This takes you up to over 1000 meters! It’s quite exhilarating to step outside and see the snow capped mountains and the true majesty of the fjords. This again, was one of the most spectacular views we have ever seen!
Do not pass up this opportunity when visiting Olden.

It was a great trip and even though we have visited Olden, I would 100% want to go back again!

Is so good to book everything at the front and see places. Everything is organised and transport will take you where you should be. I always book excursions too, not to worry about anything 🌈

Olden is stunning!! The sky lift looks so good! Wish we had done it.
We will do a Norwegian cruise again and I reckon Olden is a gauranteed stop!

Thanks Chet! Not many people think to do both the Briksdal Glacier and the Sky Lift when in Olden. There is more than plenty of time to do both!

Hi guys, well we went in May and it was pretty warm in certain places, I guess the further you venture north on your travels, the colder it may get. I hear that even in July there is snow on top of the mountains. So I guess you still need to pack for warm and cold weather. Snow boots and trainers! No flip flops on this trip unless you are planning on booking the Spa!

We were looking at doing a cruise out of Southampton which visited Norway en route to Iceland, which also looks stunning. We have not been to Iceland yet but if you can book an 11-14 night cruise, that would be great. Later in the year, you would also be able to take in the Northern lights!

The views from the top of the Skylift are stunning, this is definitely well worth the money.
How long did your trip there last?
This particular trip was probably a couple of hours! Just a 10 minute ride on the bus to Loen from Olden cruise port, 10 minute wait for the cable car and about 5 minutes to the top. Easy to fit this trip in as an addition to Briksdal Glacier.

What time of year was you there please? We are going at the end of April I’m hoping there will still be snow.
I believe it was May, and there was still plenty of snow up there! It's a good time to go as the snow melts and the water falls start to flow. Am sure you will have a great time! 👍
