- Here are the HHA boys movin a big 241 ton Generator Section from Brisbane to Central Queensland - Total Gross Weight 500 ton. The Trucks used were the C501 of JK's 2 x T908's steered by Trucker Dave and Mr Superliner Jason and the Rear Truck is a T900 driven by Captain Overload Paul McNae. Check it out more new videos to come.....
One of the most impressive displays of power, team work and finesse I've ever witnessed. I bow in the presence of the Masters.
The thing that is amazing to me is that all four trucks have to be in perfect sinc. If not, the load will shift to whichever one is going the fastest, making it erratic. Nice paint job on the equipment
Think the Euro super truckers are shooting mouth before knowing about Ozzy and New Zealand terrain and infratructure rules.
Awesome presentation as usual John ,true professionals!
shows how much you know, mack have always been renowned for their ability to pull heavy loads.
Beautiful, it can not see us, the whole kit and nice to read that long to set out our path, or did not fit.
Gorgeous setup there! That's a rolling billboard for your business right there!
i could watch this all day
Its called a ballast box or weight box. Its a box or purpose made weight that attaches to the 5th wheel to load the axles down. When you tow with a draw bar there is no weight on the drive wheels. So in order to maintain traction on the drive wheels you need to load them with weights. Sand, concrete blocks and steel weights are used.
@Niurzgius
It's much smoother and better that 4 engines pull that load. One Volvo FH16 or new Scania R730 can pull that alone, but it's not good for handling like someone said, and it's less stressed to 4 engines than to 1.
MAN I love those trucks!
all of those trucks were beautiful
there's GOT to be money in that--how good those trucks look...
One classy operation for sure, wouldn't mind steering one of those units !!
Wow that Superliner is a damn beautiful rig.
what superliner?
It may seem that way, but, the main reason this works is the trucks can only pull so much, so when an operator is told to go wide open or maintain a rpm the minute difference is taken up by the truck ahead or behind, and it gradually flows down the line till they are all equal. Like fuel in joined fuel tanks, the one with more pressure will gradually push the fuel in the tank with the least back pressure, until, they are equal. Good communication and good operators make this possible. Get it?
the most beautiful heavy haulers ive seen
@Niurzgius So it's not just power, it's a matter of traction and strength. Technically yes, you could give a truck enough power to pull all that weight but at the same time you would have to load it up with so much counter-weight in order to gain traction that you would defeat the purpose of all that power. Also, the frames of the trucks can only handle so much and they can't be stiffened due to the power they already have. Hence why they use multiple trucks.
I dont know if I'am more impress with the load or trucks i never seen nothing like that
man, that platform trailer is nice.
Cool video, men! ... great looking trucks, immaculate presentation! Great AUSSIE -built trucks - operated by skilled AUSSIE truckers!! Show 'em how it's done!!
675 is not only the number of the people who liked this video...it's even the number of all the wheels you can count on those road trains!
Great vid! On the crane part, Liebherr have a LTM 11200 9-1. It can lift 1200 tonnes at a radius of 2.5mts. Demag have a AC1000 out soon, 1000tonnes at 3mt radius. They will never lift this weight, maybe 200-250 tonnes max! It's what they offer on hight and reach! Couple of ton's to hight's of 100mts plus! Crawler cranes go up to 3200tonnes on the Demag cc8800 twin! Plus Mammoet make a PTC that can lift 1600 tonnes at 20mt radius on a 80mt boom! Hope this helps!!!
That chrome !!!!
Talk about blinded by the light !!!!!
That lead truck is beautiful
@JettanBettan In Australia they use the Metric system, 1 tonne is 1000kg. The imperial equivalent (the ton) is slightly less (short ton) or long ton (slightly more)
so true there macks and the new gen 2 cummins are a dream to drive
what a classy operation
what a beautiful set up...makes me jealous!!!!
dam really nice vid those trucks are really clean including the jeep hauler.
im receiving a delivery like this next week, fingers crossed
I like this vids on the clean trucks!!
F**k man, 240tons... I wouldn't like to fall under those wheels.
And really nice looking trucks, nice colors and looked really clean.
@TheyCallMeNewb those roadtrains you see don't climb hills to often, they start and brake after 100 miles and take corners with the radius of Moon. Moreover, this unit has over 500 tons for 4 trucks and you can't go to fast when you have trucks tighten to close. There are some major drawbacks when you move something so big.
On the eighth day the Big Man created Kenworth!!!!! There is no way about it, there are just KILLER!!!!BAD ASS!!!!!!
man those are some clean trucks
Those are super nice rigs.
The Doctor's at work!
Awesome stuff guys!
All the parts wash polished !! No lazy man !!
@Lawrence5987 because they have up hill road and down hill roads. thats why there's 1 extra truck to the front so they could slow down the road
@crusTodd my guess is they sync em with experience ! They may also have an open mic communication set-up though, that would help.
What a beautiful setup! thats allot of alcoa wheels there!
thats one clean company!!!!!!!
Are the tractor's throttles synched through an MU cable, like on railroad locomotives?
4 OF THE BADDEST KENNY`S ON THE PLANET!
those are some nice lookin rides great vid
Dear Jon!!
This Video is Awesome!!
Meny Greetings!!
Sebastian (GERMANY)
yeah of course you would, and it would be an old single drive with a 210 perkins with a joey box. and you would be doing a dollar 10 up hills too.
Freakin Awesome! A+++++++! Nice trucks. Thats a huge load.
I wonder what it's like to drive one of those?
The steering I would think would pretty much act like a trailer except when you force it to take turns wider.
The throttle could be tricky though, what happens when one out of the four guys has a little heavier foot during acceleration?
I would think that one truck with the heavy footed driver would be trying to pull the entire load including the other three trucks.
I'm only talking about 1/4" more peddle.
Same as braking.
That 2nd Rig is now in NZ still earning its keep
haha what a sight, 4 bigass trucks and 218 631.522 kilograms down the road
very nice trucks
Seems like an American truck can still take care of business. HHA T908 Heavy Haul - EX3600 Track Section - 215 ton Gross
Okay guys who's up for tire rotation
very nice equipment
@Maccall03 sorry i wasn't trying to imply europe doesn't have those capabilities - i wrote that in a rush. i was just defending australia mostly. europeans have been moving big loads since before australia or the US were even colonized - we learned it from you guys.
wow. awesome rigs very nice r.ls.
That's not a generator. That's my mother-in-law's deep fried turkey delivery. It's time for her 3:00 afternoon snack.
Very Nice Video!!!
truly a class outfit,congrats
@TeamNarcosis You are wrong, because European Trucks for heavy Loads do have special cooling for transmission, clutch and engine, instead of chrome and nice rims, like these ones...
Dam guy had like 6 fuel tanks man oh man those owner operator making some money
ho leee shit, i couldnt see what was on thee trailer the shine was so bright. nice trucks!
wow 4 trucks are BAADD strong,,,
2 trucks pulls and 2 trucks pushs
Thats right my man! I’ve driven a Volvo FH12, with 500hp, and it pulls like an old Ford L9000 with a 405hp Detroit Diesel!!! American trucks are always on top.
wow! thumbs up .classy company beautiful rigs .r.l.s.
It's Rosie O'Donnell's daily supply of Country Crock.
@Lawrence5987 Ever considerd there to be more hills in the aera where these trucks are going, than in the red centre? Mabey it is a bit over the top with this many rigs, i don´t know. But this pretty expencive, so there must be a reason. Don´t you think?
Wow those giant diesels sound like Trains
now that's real trucking , sure makes us heavy haul Canadians put to shame, we aint truck drivers, lol
@tunespt yeah? and were their generators 240 tons? you need to come out to australia (where this is filmed) and get a feel for the distances mate. brisbane to mountt isa (the route this convoy took) is about 2300 klms (1500 miles) and that is the same as driving all the way across europe. so whatever little toys you used your pretty pink hyundai to pull around, i don't think you'd make it from barcelona to moscow - thats the distance these convoys drive every day.
@Lawrence5987 the roadtrains you see pulling lots of trailers only equal to around 120ton because of weight restrictions i know because my dad drives them and they need 4 trucks the front one and the back one are to slow it down when goin through hills and the middles ones are for power
Are the axles on the trailer, steerable?????
@JettanBettan 200 ton is 200 thousand kg (200,000kg) you are a few orders of magnitude off in your calcs. Your numbers are right, just move the decimal place three spaces to the right.
what gear are they riding in engines sound kinda wound up and those are some good lookin trucks
@andymcdo Hey, I don't know much about trucks and all that stuff but I've seen single trucks pulling heavy loads on their own... I guess modified for that kinda job, so why aren't they using something more powerful instead of that many semi trucks? Sorry if I'm completely wrong.
Guy in last tractor looks like he's got it in neutral.
Ah ! Put that in the back of my Jetta and watch me deliver that thing !
Don't need no 500 axle truck !
:D
Great quality videos and no distracting music :)..Is there a special name given to trucks bolted together like this ?..Thanks for sharing ;)
I'm sorry but Ive seen 1 Kenworth or Western star pull bigger heavier shit up to Fort Mac on its own...These guys overkilled the shit out of that haul!
Does the trailor have any brakes at all?
huge fuel tanks on that 3rd truck..how many gallons?
@muddyboots111 im from US and how come the trailer breaks arnt used instead of the trucks then? seems like allot more stopping power
Damn, they we're hauling ass compared to the other heavy towing videos I seen
The old equipment is cheaper to rent. Not everyone will do everything the safest way. Money has a big influence
..very good !!!
nice video
How difficult it is to steer the last truck?
Huge Oversized load Truck ever
Is this load coming up from Pinkenbah or where?
shiny nice machines
@bestamerica they use a long trailer like that to distribute the weight so they dont bust things like bridges and causeways.
simply impressive!
Thats not a big load. I had like 5 bags of cement on the back of my ute today, now thats more impressive, but my rims aren't as shiny:(
@TheyCallMeNewb actually, they regularly full about 50 -60t regularly. they can pull 100 though. still ned at leats three trucks. that is how it makes sense.
Dam u go truck drivers u have to b reall proud of your selfs one day im gonna get those loads god bless us truck drivers and the U.S
How far was the trip for this load ?
@xmodrock Well 1157 tons is al lot. But it is not all about horsepower. A special semiautomatic transmission with its own strong cooling system in the back of the drivers cabin is important too. A "normal" transmission would blow up quickly. By the way, there are "normal" Trucks with 700hp-Engines in the market, just like Scania R730... Just copy and paste this one into the search window: "Schwertransport Flechum-Meppen vom 25. Januar 2009"
and how many do you use to pull over 240 tons?
That's no briggs and straton generator there. WoW and I imagine the rear trucks makes it easier to go down hills.
