As a licensed counsellor I can say right off that bat Jon has some major trust issues as well as control issues and has a very hard time not being in charge. The fact that he felt he had to leave his wife and new born child the day his child was born to go check on a job is a sure sign of this and shows little respect for his family especially his wife. At this stage it’s probably not a massive issue in their relationship, but if he doesn’t work on himself and his people skills as well as prioritising his marriage and children he will inevitably lose his family and relationship with this kids. I have seen it many, many times before and the husband always looks back and says “I wish someone brought me aside and told me”. Well here’s your warning Jon. Do your future self a massive favour and get some counselling/therapy soon for the sake of your kids, your wife and your business or you will lose what’s most important to you. Other than that, I am very much enjoying this show and can’t wait for the next episode!
I believe you are making lots of wide scale assumptions, on the back of a drama tv show. However, this was filmed many years ago. He seems quite a bit more personable these days.
Spot on. The counsellor should also have a divorce lawyer in the consultation room to, so that Jon gets the full picture of what awaits him if he does not change his ways.
I would be the same way Jon gets million dollar contracts sometimes for years I would be there checking on the guys also He wants it done correctly can’t blame him for that
@@eddieweigel9490 that's why you hire people for those positions. Example let's use government persay . The prime minister does not run a country by himself. He has people under him over seeing what he implemented. Just an example.
According to the reports, the end of the business was marred by dodgy decisions and stupidly low contract prices. Administrators were called in but couldn't save it. (This has been widely covered in the trucking media, a simple search will pull it up.)
You can't be micro managing people. Hire the right people and let them do their job. Having the boss constantly looking over your shoulder is counter productive. The boss is worried about losing business. This may come as a surprise but the employees don't want the company to lose business either. Let them do their job or do it yourself if you think you can do a better job. Those are grown men and they're not going to tolerate being talked to like they're kids. Easy to get hooked on! The skill and grit these truckers have make it hard to look away.
As an American, you gotta love Australian people. Some of the most unintentionally funny people on the planet.
We're a funny bunch!

There is no worse phenomenon than trucker Gossip!
Great company which he worked hard for to get. But doesn't seem to know or care how to maintain his people.
Sad to see

Goodo Freddo . Good operators don`t need to be micromanaged .
No Jom you should entrust some jobs to some of ur guys. You can't hold all this weight alone. Allocate!!!
Jon is just power mad and money mad
You better be paying these boys big bucks
Trucking is big bucks if you can handle it!
Dave reminds of my father( good way)

1980 i was run over by one of these monster front end loaders . Horrific injuries but still here aged 63
Oh bugger! Those rigs can be so dangerous! Sounds like you're a tough bloke to get through that!
How them drivers keep thier hands to themselves il never know
John needs to learn how to trust his drivers
When you're a truck owner you'll understand him better
They done more than let air out of the tyres on that machine, the cab was taken off too.
The permit would have been to the top of the engine covers after the cab was removed.. the cab always comes off

I thought John Kelly AHH went out of business several years ago
He sold the company and it went bankrupt , he rebought it back and brought it back to life
He never bought it back. He bought a few of the trucks from auction and started heavy haulage assets @@sevaspadilla9769

Who cares, he ran the business down due to his personality malfunctions with his staff.
I hope this is all for the show if not he needs to improve his people skills big time , full on narcissistic personality!!
Always very sad to hear a family man say work comes first. Hes literally choosing money over his wife and children. Sad
Yip, John is a right tool. Either trust your guys, or go be a street sweeper.
