Setting 60hz disables vrr do not do that.leave it at 120hz
Well I did mention only for battery savers to do it as a tip. I haven’t had issues if I tune the game to run around 60fps and I’ve got 60hz enabled. Vrr isn’t needed
@@cppctek it totally is, you like screen tear I guess. And if the game is double buffered it will stutter badly
@@cppctek 120hz will not affect battery if u are setting in game to 60 will just mean no vsync no steam tear or stutters.

Thanks ! Maono pd400x mic on a go xlr mini. The trick is all in the settings on the go xlr software. You have to really put in time to dial it in to your environment and style of talking

Another scenario: Ugreen 100w charger with Ugreen 100w cable through the JSAUX HB1201 dock…Battery Drain on turbo mode, UNLESS I use the Ally’s stock 65W charger, go figure THAT one out brother!
Because the jsaux have a special firmware that specifically has to be flashed to work on the stock charger. I’ve got one as well and I’ve actually had no issues with any of them draining more battery unless I was using too long of a cable then I saw that issue

Anker has a 100w dedicated single usb c charger for only $25 on sale regularly and even comes with a compatible cable (not all usb c are created equally). I like the single port chargers for power hungry devices like this and my laptop. No Sharing! Plus when you plug in secondary devices to these multi-port chargers, a lot of times they reset both connections to balance the load and then whatever you're running on max power switches to battery for a second 💀
I agree on my rog ally ugreens 100 watts charger and 100 watts powerbank works wonderfully ...ovbiously with ugreens 100 watts usbc cables... i dont know but the rog ally use a particular protocol that wont work even on other 100 watts chargers and power banks...thats my experience

Been playing Minecraft on my Ally with my daughter on her switch. Battery life struggles and the plug has to come in roughly 1hr in.
I’d try turning those wattages down and some of the other things I mentioned. Lmk how it helps
Enjoying my rog ally maxed out any games using 10 watt silent mode...but using a powerfull PC rig combined with sunshine and moonlight streaming on a powerfull home network with wifi 6E and Gaming Rig connected with 2.5 gig ethernet...outside my home im just playing with older triple A titles like dead space ecc...
So many ppl just don't understand the importance of cable quality but I'm so anal about it. I'm kind of a cable snob. Any kind of cable porn gets me off 😅 and when my friends are using a dollar store cable for their phone it drives me nuts.

Maybe we should tell them what happens when you try to run an amp on a cheap Walmart system install kit, you know those ones that say 8g wire or 4g for the amp power wire but in reality it’s on par with about a 20g wire lol and they become a fire hazzard
Hey CPPC, I already bought a dock, but can you recommend me one that has a DP port that can maximize the use of my Samsung G9 monitor for the Ally? I usually use the G9 on split mode because there I can run 240hz. I have a 2.1 DP cable.
Actually finding a dock that does work perfect with a g9 is kind of hard. I’ve got a g9 myself and haven’t found many that didn’t let me go through mine and test. Join the Cppc Tek discord and ping me

VRR and LFC wont worck if you set the screen to 60 hz... is the best feature of the Ally.

What vram settings and amd adrenaline software settings do you use? Also do you recommend using islc on rog ally?
Usually I run 5gb vram but for palworld it needs more and some bigger open worlds. But mw2 mw3 and fps shooters I’ll use 5gb always and just have default settings on and software and run fsr performance in game and set 1080p low usually or medium

Islc has helped my stuttering a lot. Also I found that if I set my vram too high i would get stuttering because the game wouldnt have enough system ram.

The rog ally dock duh bro. Come on. It’s made for that psu that’s why. And the jsaux has a firmware specifically flashed to it. Those docks don’t count and 99% of people don’t use those either. I’ve got probably 20 different docks from

Nothing fits and nothing helps. Abandon all hope for sd cards to ever be worth using in 2024 on the ally. Just rely on 2-4tb nvme instead and you’ll be happier and never look back or feel bad about it.

Will removing it subtract heat?
@shinra358 I don’t use it but mine still works. But also most people shouldn’t have to go through crazy mods to keep it or is it even close to worth just to potentially make your sd card reader work. Return the ally and buy a Lenovo legion go if the sd card reader is the end all be all and there’s no way to enjoy it without it. I otherwise think the ally is epic. But the sd card is a meaningless relic of the past that still just exist and still has issues on every other camera and handheld at some point. Just not in this much

Just replace that toy with a Legion Go and problem solved.
It’s powered by the same chipset and same fps pretty much but the legion go has a better display and imo is a better system I do agree ;).
