Otherwise, gordon on hard mode and will receive high damage + because he's not modified soldier, energy sword will be fatal and elite punch will be serious injury for him. I don't think zealot will be easy for him, his shield literally high and will take half of ammo. Same as hunters. Next thing i want is, to put chief in half-life 2.
i dunno if I'd say the blanket statement of the hev suit protecting gordon from 'energy discharges' would necessarily apply to plasma, with it kinda just being balls of concentrated *sun*, this is to say the main saving grace gordon has through all of this is stretching the definition of energy discharges
If Gordon did, it's safe to assume that a genetically enhanced super soldier from the 2500's with an armor costing in the billions jam packed with the best and latest technology humanity has to offer, and a super AI mapped to the brain of one of the greatest scientists to ever live, would survive with a stick and a rock as his starting weapons. And he has to share the rock.
@@aSkycladMaster Chief can only hold 2 weapons, and probably one slot would be used for the Gravity Gun, so it might be a little harder for him Also, Poison Headcrab
@@MiguelChaach Gameplay mechanics are not canonical. Spartans are seen carrying way more than two weapons all the time. Also, what the hell would a poison headcrab do to someone wearing an *energy shielded* armor from head to toe? Knowing that in the novelization of Combat Evolved, and even seen in game actually, the shields are strong enough to blow flood infection forms on contact. Edit: And now, thinking about it, seeing how he has a grapple shot as of Infinite, I'm not sure he would need the gravity gun in most instances except in the citadel. He can just grab objects at a distance with it, and throw em at insane speeds seeing how he can deadlift about 5 tons while in armor. Truth is, Chief in armor is ridiculously OP as is, pair him with Cortana or The Weapon and he's unstoppable.
@@aSkyclad Definitely. I think most of the playable silent protagonists would perform well in other games, be it Gordon, Mastercief, Doom Guy, Isaac or wharever

Good video. Sergeant Johnson is resistant to the initial Halo CE Flood outbreak, which also had another oddity, Jenkins. He is not immune. There were a number of bull explanations, but the simplest is that everyone else was white. If he got bitten by the Flood again, he would be infected, just like any other life form. Note that the Arbiter also did not get infected. Presumably, if Gordon Freeman was involved, Black Mesa weaponry and HEV suit recharge points would be standard.
Something worth pointing out is that Gordon's equipment isn't the primary reason for his survival, but rather his mind. He's something of a strategic and survival prodigy, so sharp in his ability to process information and improvise a winning strategy that he's able to do this for days on end without a wink of sleep, and even maintains the ability to be a capable leader for the duration. It can be seen in the Xen levels in HL1 that there are other scientists who were similarly equipped to handle the same threats, and yet still ended up meeting an unfortunate end.
So anyways Chief would be able to kick ass in HL2 in a one-on-one with even some of the meanest the combine has to offer (imagine him punching a hunter to death lol) Though i imagine he'd struggle with specialized situations Such as both roller and hopper mines, as well as anything that requires the gravity gun unless he brings it along with him the whole time (forgoing the second weapon slot) Excluding grenades, he'll probably always have plenty of those...Infact he could probably use those to solve his mine problem if used correctly...
People have conflicting opinions on Gordon and his HEV helmet. I think its highly implied that there are many moments (even in combat) where he is not wearing it, but I have to believe he was wearing it for large stretches of time, including most of HL-1 due to the sheer amount of environmental hazards (duh) that he could not have survived if he was even just breathing the air. HL-2 has much less hazards and his face is all over the marketing so its pretty safe to assume he was not wearing it nearly as often, but there are definitely times he must've had to put it on. Also, it's a bloody cool helmet idk why people seem to ignore it so much.
@@SSD774A That shit isn't canon and was never even hinted at by Bungie, it's implied the Flood had already consumed an entire other galaxy and migrated their way into ours. That's the most we have about their origins.
You should've also added the movement module that Freeman gets that let's him jump really far. That makes running away a lot easier. Also, Freeman's movement speed, even his walking speed in both Half-Life games, is much faster than Master Chief's RUNNING speed. Master Chief walks as fast as Fat Albert. I'd also like to argue that Freeman might've been smart enough to pick up the energy swords instead of leaving them on the ground like Chief did in the first game.
Half of the Weapons in Halo are like the Weapons in Half-Life. Gordon can easily handle them. The Needler is like the Crossbow in Half-Life. It shoots Bolts of Crystal while the Crossbow shoots Bolts of arrows or Steel.
most is accurate except for the getting shot part, the HEV suit mark V can withstand shots really well, it also administers morphine if legs get broken and etc. and also gordon tanks bullets like they are nothing aswell can survive a literal superheated crossbow bolt to the chest if max suit energy (for this instance overshield) so that means he would likely be able to go on with the usual stuff even if shot
Halo CE but Keep all weapons + 50 % speed - shields regeneration - 75% melee damage (except for the needler + 1 Half Life 1 Gordan Freeman player model would be a sick ass mod
9:35 he's a spartan 1. for reference the master chief is a spartan 2 (the best of the 4 generations of spartans) he probably actually fought flood, too. but still probably mostly ran away
So basically gordon freeman and black mesa is an advanced type 4 ( galaxy cluster) civilization and unsc and master chief is an early type 3 civilization so gordon freeman will destroy master chief because he is a highly trained professional
Johnson survived because hes a Spartan 1. His blood and DNA makes it difficult for the flood to infect him. An infection form did briefly latch onto him and couldnt infect him, sure Johnson escaped with an infected Jenkins but that was also thanks to his blood.
Grunt: Whose that guy in the blue suit? Jackal: I don’t know he’s been standing there for a while. Grunt: I’m gonna shoot him. *shoots plasma pistol at guy Gman: Prepare for unforeseen consequences. Grunt: What? *gets killed by Gordon Freeman
I'd assume Freeman would survive, but that he'd be much less deadly than Master Chief. Actually, a good way to sum up the difference between the two: • Freeman is a survivor, thrust into a situation far beyond his qualifications and making do with his resourcefulness. • Master Chief is a warrior, who *is* acting within his qualifications.
My headcannon is that Morgan Freeman puts his helmet on when his in Xen and the scientist guy there is only alive because that part wasn't exposed to the vacuum
I don't think Gordon could actually make it too far. The Flood is too menacingly unstoppable for Gordon to be safe from; he's helmet-less, and the only known immunity from the Flood comes from the Orion Program that Sgt Johnson was a part of. Covenant weaponry is also a huge no-go, Gordon's suit is designed to protect against EMPs and other electric impulses. Plasma is basically the equivalent of being hit with snowballs as hot as the Sun flying at you at the speed of a bullet. He would simply have to be incredibly fast on his feet and play a no-damage run in order to survive. But once the Flood get introduced, he's toast no matter what.
To be honest if all of the enemies in Halo were as strong as they were in the books or the lore, I don't think Gordon would be able to survive the whole game. Maybe a few levels he might pull through, but levels like attack on the control room or the library I doubt he'd survive
Considering Gordon Freeman uses a reactive armor suit, Needlers would be not as effective against gordon, because the needles would individually explode each time they hit him, meaning they don't do much damage and cannot supercombine. He also doesn't suffer from the flaw of overcharge draining the suit, plasma pistol charges would just do more damage and maybe even charge the suit because of the EMP effect. Medkits are common in the first halo, so his health could always be stocked up, and remember that the Mark V suit resists a lot of bullet damage when charged. Gordon stands a considerably decent chance in this scenario, and with a plethora of weapons to back him up, he'll pass with flying colors.
Someone else said that gordon doesnt have cortana or his neural implant meaning hed get trapped in the covenant ship, and of he did survive the library by miracle, cortana wouldnt be there to save him and hed erase all life in the galaxy killing himself in the process
Freeman has one big advantage over master chief, it's his speed and agility. If you have his speed in half life 1 freeman can easily dodge any of those slow projectiles coming his way. Don't forget he also is capable of having long jump so he could just jump away from any incoming danger.
Realistically, Chef can easily carry more weapons than what we can in the games. Gordon Freeman probably can't carry as many weapons as we can in Half-Life, even with the HEV suit equipped. As for the escape pod impact, it's possible that the extra weight from Chef made the escape pod crash as hard as it did. For the tank section, Gordon Freeman lacks a neural implant and would need one of the marines to be the driver. Gordon Freeman probably could survive against the Covenant forces but I don't see any way he could survive against the Flood even with his helmet on.
Gordon does have his helmet on. That's why headcrabs don't instantly kill him. Why the helmet is ommitted in most of the games art is a question i cannot answer. Probably to shoe freemans face.
While freeman’s shield can’t recharge, the capacity is absurd in comparison to chiefs which dies in like 20 rifle shots Meanwhile Gordon’s takes like 80 and even then he would probably die of something else before it ran out
There’s only one classic strategy that Gordon could use to survive: Run. Think. Shoot. Live.

- Overall, enemies are 140% efficient.
I dont think the antidote injections or the HEV suit will help gordon with the flood ways of infection, but is a good detail
How dare you call my marines and elites not smart
I love the idea of this being a series!
i dunno if I'd say the blanket statement of the hev suit protecting gordon from 'energy discharges' would necessarily apply to plasma, with it kinda just being balls of concentrated *sun*, this is to say the main saving grace gordon has through all of this is stretching the definition of energy discharges
Gordan Freeman would just reverse bunnyhop his way through the Library
Or for a next video: could Master Chief survive the Black Mesa incident and/or Half-Life 2 combine occupation?
If Gordon did, it's safe to assume that a genetically enhanced super soldier from the 2500's with an armor costing in the billions jam packed with the best and latest technology humanity has to offer, and a super AI mapped to the brain of one of the greatest scientists to ever live, would survive with a stick and a rock as his starting weapons. And he has to share the rock.
@@aSkycladMaster Chief can only hold 2 weapons, and probably one slot would be used for the Gravity Gun, so it might be a little harder for him
Also, Poison Headcrab
@@aSkyclad he’s likely able to lift over 100 tons based on a feat during the shadows of reach novel which happens after he was injured by plasma fire to his leg
If freeman is gonna tango with the flood, he'd have to wear a helmet lol
So anyways Chief would be able to kick ass in HL2 in a one-on-one with even some of the meanest the combine has to offer
(imagine him punching a hunter to death lol)
Though i imagine he'd struggle with specialized situations
Such as both roller and hopper mines, as well as anything that requires the gravity gun unless he brings it along with him the whole time (forgoing the second weapon slot)
Excluding grenades, he'll probably always have plenty of those...Infact he could probably use those to solve his mine problem if used correctly...
Someone should make a mod that ports CE in Half-Life 2. Then we’d be able to actually experience this.
Awesome video from Noclick once again!
*Gordon Freeman escapes Halo via backwards long jumping to reach escape velocity*
Wowsers! This video is definetly the most not stupid video I have ever seen!
Ah, but could Dr. Freeman survive Reach?
There is no antidote for the flood, so a Freman would die from one bite.
agreed, the flood are literally descendants from an alien race that could shapeshift
Or the HEV suit could just be shock popping the flood like what Cortana did in Halo, the flood
@@SSD774A That shit isn't canon and was never even hinted at by Bungie, it's implied the Flood had already consumed an entire other galaxy and migrated their way into ours. That's the most we have about their origins.
@@nagger8216 no its cannon, 343 confirmed. ask anyone that is die-hard halo lore
@@SSD774A 343 weren't the ones that wrote the original games, so no, it isn't.
"Can the Freeman survive a trillion sniper jackals?"
Someone could probably import the map files and some level of working AI into Garry's Mod and this could be tested.
Should be noted sgt johsnon is a Spartan himself
Predicting it now: He survives up to the end of the Maw but dies when the Autumn explodes because how the hell is going to fly a spaceship?
I need a 10 hour version of that crowbar swinging clip please god
Half of the Weapons in Halo are like the Weapons in Half-Life. Gordon can easily handle them.
The Needler is like the Crossbow in Half-Life.
It shoots Bolts of Crystal while the Crossbow shoots Bolts of arrows or Steel.
Freeman is facing full life consequences in the Halo installation
I'm very surprised to hear that an HEV suit could block a plasma shot, considering a single one of those melted through a Mark 4 MJOLNIR armor.
Gordon has insane plot armor, I'm sure he'll be fine. Also, he's a highly trained professional!
Gordon doesn't wear a helmet because of his glass. I can relate.
most is accurate except for the getting shot part, the HEV suit mark V can withstand shots really well, it also administers morphine if legs get broken and etc. and also gordon tanks bullets like they are nothing aswell can survive a literal superheated crossbow bolt to the chest if max suit energy (for this instance overshield) so that means he would likely be able to go on with the usual stuff even if shot
Halo CE but
Keep all weapons
+ 50 % speed
- shields regeneration
- 75% melee damage (except for the needler
+ 1 Half Life 1 Gordan Freeman player model
would be a sick ass mod
9:35 he's a spartan 1. for reference the master chief is a spartan 2 (the best of the 4 generations of spartans)
he probably actually fought flood, too. but still probably mostly ran away
So basically gordon freeman and black mesa is an advanced type 4 ( galaxy cluster) civilization and unsc and master chief is an early type 3 civilization so gordon freeman will destroy master chief because he is a highly trained professional
I think it makes me wonder if someone ended up recreating HL1 in Halo Custom Edition
Gordon Freeman is like batman of FPS games , he always survives because he's Freeman
"Master Chief, you mind telling me what you're doing on that subway train?"
"Sir, liberating this planet."
I think you should include that Gordon Freeman have time god as guardian angel.
Johnson survived because hes a Spartan 1. His blood and DNA makes it difficult for the flood to infect him. An infection form did briefly latch onto him and couldnt infect him, sure Johnson escaped with an infected Jenkins but that was also thanks to his blood.
"This is the Freeman. The Covenant reckoning has come".
Grunt: Whose that guy in the blue suit?
Jackal: I don’t know he’s been standing there for a while.
Grunt: I’m gonna shoot him. *shoots plasma pistol at guy
Gman: Prepare for unforeseen consequences.
Grunt: What? *gets killed by Gordon Freeman
Yes, Gordon has limitless potential
Could Doomguy survive Halo?
Gordon's model in HL 1 doesn't have a helmet, however in Black Mesa he has one.
I'd assume Freeman would survive, but that he'd be much less deadly than Master Chief. Actually, a good way to sum up the difference between the two:
• Freeman is a survivor, thrust into a situation far beyond his qualifications and making do with his resourcefulness.
• Master Chief is a warrior, who *is* acting within his qualifications.
He could use energy weapons to recharge his suit like the stun sticks
Gordon would be upgraded to a spartan 4 and single handedly destroy the covenant splinters
He can survive in any way after becoming Gordon's crowbar💀
My headcannon is that Morgan Freeman puts his helmet on when his in Xen and the scientist guy there is only alive because that part wasn't exposed to the vacuum
Gordon absolutely has a helmet, it completely defeats the purpose of his suit if he doesn't.
9:34 He's canonically a Spartan 1
0:47 CANONICALLY in HL1, Gordon was wearing his helmet! In HL2, this may be more questionable
You forgot to pick up an over shield in 343 guilty spark.
Ridiculous, the reason both of them survive or not, Chief and Gordon... is the player themselves.
Now we just the master chief in Half life 1 and 2.
If he was given a helmet, yes he could survive the flood.
Gordon does have his helmet on. That's why headcrabs don't instantly kill him. Why the helmet is ommitted in most of the games art is a question i cannot answer. Probably to shoe freemans face.
While freeman’s shield can’t recharge, the capacity is absurd in comparison to chiefs which dies in like 20 rifle shots
Meanwhile Gordon’s takes like 80 and even then he would probably die of something else before it ran out
3:15 I thought Gordon wasnt slapping with the assault rifle lol
