Thank you for making these videos, I do enjoy watching them. I have used this method and had great results. I feel this is a best practice in the situation where you have a pretty clean car up front. Then after everything is all rinsed and I bring it back inside, the windows are 95% complete. Finally I use the same spray sealant im using on the rest of the car and clean the windows off and they are as good as they can be.
Great video. Might I recommend a single pass with water spot remover to remove and dissolve any minerals in the pores. You could combine the water spot remover with the scrub down process with the clay mitt.
on the inside I use invisible glass + a slightly dampened magic eraser to get rid of smokers film and other greases, then I go over it again with one more pass of invis glass minus the eraser and buff to a clean finish.
An additional step could be to do a microfibre cutting pad with a compound typically that gets rid of any marks or light water spots and gets old glass really glossy.
Steel Wool (000) works very well on glass too. Better than clay in my opinion. Just have to make sure you rinse the car VERY well after as you can get a few loose hairs on the glass and paint.

What do you think about using 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and distilled water for the inside of the windshields? I was told it works great on the off-gas fog that develops. Have you ever tried it?
I think it would work fine for sure. Some invisible glass on a towel is easy and cheap and works great too. I usually stick to a dedicated glass cleaner for ease of use.

Quick Question about the Drying aid. I've heard of chattering when people use sealents/ceramic coats on their tesla because of the design of the wiper blades. I want to use opti-seal as the drying aid, have you ever used opti-seal for the windshield of your tesla, and was there any issues?
I don’t know if that would happen on the windshield. I can’t imagine that it would give bad results on there. I would try it and if it is not what you want it wears off glass pretty quick.
Only thing I would recommend to anyone doing this method is to make sure you really take the time to wash around the cracks and crevices really well because if a grain of sand gets between this synthetic clay mitt and the glass it will scratch it.

People who tell you to use steel wool, heavy compound, acids, lemon juice or whatever are just repeating what they’ve heard … they’re all still wrong. There are times when you MUST polish and that’s to remove hard water spots or to remove a coating. At worst, you would need a very light polish with a soft pad (like a wax applicator). TLDR: Just use an IPA mix of 70/30 water to isopropyl alcohol. It will change your views on unnecessary products. 😬😬😬

When glass gets imbedded with dirt/bugs or they become stubborn to remove, YES claying is your best bet. It really doesn’t matter if its synthetic or not, I prefer clay though.
TLDR:
Just use an IPA mix of 70/30 water to isopropyl alcohol. It will change your views on unnecessary products.

Best way to remove hard water spots?
On the windows polishing.
Nice video
Thanks. I appreciate it
Yeah Man!
Yeah.
Great vid! How should we clean the interior glass? I get a lot of scum on the interior front windshield.
I always suggest a 1:1 mix of 91% ipa and water to help dissolve the oils on the glass and then follow up with a glass cleaner.
I will do a vid on it soon. Thanks for watching
Great video, best on UTUBE,it seems most detailers are just trying to sell you shit, and lots of bad information out there ,just saying ,keep up the good work 🇨🇦
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it
Why not just use the clay mitt on the windshield during the wash process itself with regular car shampoo? Much more time efficient. I will just do this every few washes or more frequently if needed.
Yeah you could definitely do that also. I did this without a normal bucket wash process for the video. Thanks for sharing.
Allright........
Yeah. Thanks for watching
I need that!
oh no! no there's a fist print on the windshield :0
Hahahaha. Thanks for watching

@@HawaiiDetailing I’m on my second model 3. I know all the curves of it from washing and detailing my own. 👍🏻
