In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have IAS Abhishek Singh in conversation with Raj Shamani. He has been an IAS, actor, and social entrepreneur. His knowledge of politics and India’s development is really insightful.
In this episode, we discussed why Congress is winning in southern states, and what BJP can do to win in those states. We then discussed P.M. Narendra Modi’s speech of India being a developed country by 2047, how India will become a developed country by then, and what we should focus on to achieve that goal. We talked about hard power and soft power and how it works. I asked him who according to him would be the next P.M. and he gave 4 interesting names and explained the reasons behind choosing them. He also shared why he left being an IAS and got fully into acting and entrepreneurship.
Towards the end, we talked about the controversy of ‘Nana Patekar slapping a boy’ and how the matter got resolved. We discussed whether wealthy or resourceful people get away with crimes or what are the things they go away with due to their contacts. He also shared the current status of crimes in India, whether they have gone up or decreased and what are the other crimes that have increased in India and worldwide. We discussed how Lays was successful, what all it did that we can learn and implement. We ended with discussing how a strong character is built and more. About future one can you please make a episode on development of science and scientific institutions in recent years. The problems that they faced earlier and now they are over with it and problems that they are facing currently and issues that they might face in upcoming future. I would prefer that this episode would more impose upon Indian than the rest of the world. And is to why foreign institutions were more favored for a longer period of time than own national ones.
It is a shame that Abhishek ji has moved on towards the entertainment industry because he’s so brilliant and talented and would have made a great CM someday. Bharat needs these young brilliant leaders to bring it in the 22nd century.

He's written on Mahabharata and Ramayan and what's special about his works is that it is narrated from the antagonist's perspective, most stories and incidents are never told or have been skipped out from the traditional stories known to most of us. Made me rethink the entire hero- villain perception in Mahabhatata and Ramayana 🙌

Arey mere bhai I am from Karnataka....I speak Hindi super fluently...The reason why congress came in Karnataka is because BJP CM candidate was too weak!!!! If we had a candidate like Annamalai or Yogi as CM candidate....BJP would have won....Center should make sure they put strong candidates in state....if they put jokers then this is the fate!

Government is at fault on farmers bill because they did not educate the rural farmers beforehand on the benefits of the bill to the farming community. It is very necessary to bring the farmers out of poverty and make them prosper in the interests of the nation building.
Thank god this guy is not serving anymore. No law enforcement official should ever humiliate a citizen in public. This guy physically assaulted an individual in public for a minor offence that too in a festive spirit, and the shameful part is the guy doesn’t show any remorse. Why can’t these guys understand a simple fact that their job is to serve the citizens, not to beat the shit out of them just to impress their senior officials. Shameful.
