Sir, I respect your views, but I was sad as a literally critic after i subjected the recycled anthem to line by line analysis, I was angry with the emphasis of "tribe & tongue" which has done us more harm than good. Then the introduction of the word "battle"! Was it hen a coincidence that, Nigerians went into a needless "battle" a few years after "independence"? Someone, help me, pls. The anthem is a spiritual song meant to thank God and accentuate our expectations. Be that as it may be, I embrace the "hail thee " anthem . But let us stop oppressing any man or woman in this country. Let farmers work freely on their native dear land to produce food to feed ourselves. No import dependent economy esp. food must be produced here we don't lack land , manage it for the benefit of all and hand it over to our children!

I thought Mike Ozekhome, SAN, was one of the reasonable voices of our time. How on earth does this anthem wield the country together into one? Mike is totally wrong one this one.
