Hausa’s are essentially Farmers like all Nigerians and are the biggest ethnic group in Nigeria.
It’s their land they have stolen the most, the Hausa people they have killed the most, Hausa women they have raped the most yet the Hausawa keep quiet and their Fulani leaders hide these facts.

What is being proposed is not
against the movement of people but of animals by moving cows across the nation by foot, thereby causing damage, loss of life, and damage to agricultural farms and produce. Every business person wishing to set up a business anywhere in the country should buy land from
the state government and build their own ranches and source their own feed and other required inputs. The traders who sell spare parts buy land and build their own markets and carry on their business. It is not usually the government that build and put all the facilities for them. There is no place in the advanced world where cattle rearers move their animals by foot to their destination of sale. Move around the country however you wish but done move animals by foot. Some people need to wake up and live in the modern era in which the world is living.

When you have Senators talking from two sides of their mouths, you say you are not against ranching and you're all for it but then again you are vehemently supporting that herders movements can not be restricted and they have to go around with their cows as the two can not be separated. The spareparts sellers which he referenced are everywhere but they do not disturb anybody with their goods. They do not sell them on peoples lands or farmlands. His arguments don't make sense. This is part of the reason why people are supporting separation of the regions. This is very disturbing that he is not concerned at all about the many lives lost by the hands of these Fulani herdsmen. He is more concerned about the restriction of cows.

    5. The govt should not build ranches. Yes! It is a private business, and people should pay to get space for their business

Why should the government be responsible for the provision of water, medicine, pasture, land for the herders and not be responsible for the provision of electricity, water, stores for other business owners who have gone about sorting themselves, have the other business owners because of that carried guns to protect themselves against paying tax.
Poor poor argument from Senator Aleiro!

  • @safetydomain6861

What kind of elites has the north produced in the 24th century! If this senator states that cattle rearing is a private business, how has it become the responsibility of the government to provide ranches, provide grasses and water. How many peasant farmers has the government made such provisions for in Nigeria? Whoever want to do cattle business should do their visibility study, buy land where appropriate, and run their business according to the law of the land. How can a Nigerian senator be saying a pastoralist moves round with their merchandise? What a shame! Nobody would oppose it if a hearder is moving their cows in truck from their ranches to the cattle market but not to move through communities and farms, killing, maiming, rapping and kidnapping people for ransom. The fact that the Fulanis are not educated or neglected, as the senator said, is the failure of northern elites like Adamu Aliero. He himself is a Fulani man, why is he or his children not one of those pastoralist he talked about? They are a bunch of irresponsible, selfish, and barbaric northern leaders. The time to stop their barbarism is now.
