The Carnes Brothers have dedicated their lives to the service of others. They are lifetime Galvestonians by choice; aware of all the history of this grand community and involved in every aspect of it. Rusty Carnes is a licensed funeral director and embalmer with 45 years of experience and is the President of the company. He is a member of ANICO Articulators Toastmasters Club, the Galveston Island Camp of Gideons International and serves as a chaplain at the Galveston County Jail. He attends Coastal Community Church of Galveston.

The facility is amazing but you brothers are easy people to pull for. People can't fake being genuine like you guys are and that comes across heavily when people are trying to make final arrangements. I'm sure you're already successful but I pray that you have even more success in the future.

Hotel lobbies does not have a hearse parked at the end of the corridor! It is obvious that a fortune was spend to build and decorate this 5 star funeral parlour. The rich and famous will definitely feel at home in this facility. It is beautiful and nice.

Very nice. But why didn’t you show the preparation room, the refrigerated room, etc. - anything that the deceased themselves go through. Those are a necessary part of the funeral process, and keeping them behind the scenes could make the potential clients feel like something is being hidden from them.

I agree. It's still a bit of a mystery what goes on behind the scenes and I think it would be interesting. You have some beautiful antiques and the place looks lovely. The selection of urns was interesting too. I haven't seen as many here in Australia but I will have to start looking. The Harley Davidson one would be perfect for my husband's ashes.

WOW Your Funeral home is awesome. I was born and raised in Chicago, Ill., and moved to Blacklick, Ohio in 1989 for my career. Even Chicago does not have a beautiful Funeral Home like yours. Great video love your display cabinets are they antique?. The coffin in your old hurst is very similar to coffins used in the UK as caskets are seldom used here.

I always love seeing funeral homes and how they are set up. I am on my way to becoming a first-generation funeral director myself self so its always full to watch these tours.
Interesting building, love the history, my only recommendation is to add some background music and week the audio a bit, you're sounding a bit water toned.

As a funeral director & embalmer I don’t think it’s very cool to have tons of caskets and urns in the arrangement room. Not everyone wants to see a full casket when coming in to make arrangements (especially on a church truck) it looks really shady and could fool a family into thinking someone could be in there) some families just want cremation and are unsettled by things like that. Just my professional opinion.
