I just love your style. It makes me imagine a nice Autumn day in 1948. It's not too cold, not too warm and there's a slight breeze that makes the leaves fall every so often. The smell of warm apple pie is wafting out from a bakery window as a couple and their dog stroll around the town square window shopping.

Awww I feel like this is a cozy little scene in a snow globe where everything smells like old books, puppy breath and cinnamon rolls and now I want to go live in that snow globe ... or maybe just vacation there... because now I’m irrationally scared about being shrunken down and trapped in a glass globe like some kind of genie.

I used to wear my hair in a “Rosie the Riveter” style bandana a lot & one of my older British coworkers told me I reminded him of his mom working at the factory during the war.

Also this is a really random detail but I really love that you use actually old music? With the whole sound of it being played on a record player. It's just so nice because so many youtubers use electro-swing and stuff like that which isn't my favorite (though there's nothing wrong w/ it!) Yas! Buy all the blouses, 40s-eque sweaters, and full skirts. Well, save some for the rest of us. ;) I love the colors of all three sweaters. Also, the fabric covered-buttons on the little playsuit/dress give it a nice vintage vibe. Plaid is love, also long rows of buttons, so yeah, I’m with you on that skirt. I feel you on the shoulder pads, but wow that dress looks like it was made for you. A scarf pin seems like such an obvious idea, but somehow it never occurred to me. Thanks for sharing all the cuteness.

Great haul! My favorite is the blouse with the full sleeves and pointed collar. The belted skirts paired with a blouse or sweater are very flattering. The cameo is a stick pin; they were mostly worn on blazers in the 1970's. Yay, disco! TFS.

I think that for a beginner wanting to dress/look vintage, a great idea is to find an image of an outfit that you might like and take that with you when thrift shopping
(or secondhand shopping as I call it here in Australia)
- and look for each of the different items you need.
I saw you (yes you) referencing an image once when showing how to put together an outfit when shopping online, and so I decided to go one step further and use this idea out in the wild.
Honestly, it really helped me to find the things I needed and also kept me “focused”...because I’m easily distracted and I get slightly anxious in ....
shops,
around more than 3 other people...
anywhere outside with people etc etc
(I’m now distracted by you showing your beautiful acorn container ... I love it 🥰).
Anyway, that’s my 2 cents worth of advice.
