the thing about the Banshees and Creatures is everything was cerebral and detail oriented. they always put out great b sides and when they covered songs did great interpretations of them. they were way more prolific than I even knew because on youtube you can find things that never made it to the states. lucky to have bought the scream out of curiosity when it was first released. i had heard hong kong garden and it was unlike any of the b.s. that was played on the radio in 78. I hitch hiked out of state to get it only to returned home and find it was the import that didn't have the song on it. i was sucked into it right away. i later bought the single. it had great packaging and an alternate b side which made me a collector of their singles. although the other l.ps. had the single the art and b side on the single were worth buying. never saw a bad show either. i have seen them in the double digits too. once they had to cancel a show and returned later that year, many months too and played a great 2 hours plus set. that was juju era. they opened me up to a lot of subjects i had not heard of before making refrences to influences. like she says they were more than a rock band. i don't have a favorite lp. one is played then i jump to another. i do have favorite tours though. kaleidoscope, juju 3x, hyena 2x, creatures 1st. tinderbox were stand outs. though lyrically hyena is my favorite. the lyrics are magnificent. Way underrated in the u.s. kind of glad too cuz all the shows were in small venues and the fans were all there for something special so the vibe was great. Budgie is just an amazing drummer. always upping his game. the intro and encores were really exciting. no slap dash. great work ethic. they always gave fans something to think about.
One of her best interviews and a very good interviewer. I could listen to her all day forever. Her speaking voice is just as captivating as her singing. What a wonderful woman!
I can safely say that I loved her music for years before, I actually fell in love with her as a woman. She really looked fantastic from Peepshow onwards particularly.
I’m even more amazed today at her confidence and self-determination after learning about the awful things she survived as a child. ♥️ She’s an extraordinary person.
A pop star with timeless glamour, charisma and style that made her an icon. Now you have pop "celebrities" wearing ultra expensive manufactured looks that say absolutely nothing about them. She always looked incredible, even during the early punk days when she followed the Pistols, but this is surely one of my favorite looks of hers. Also her interviews around this time weren't as tense and distant as in the early 80s. It's great to see her more relaxed and engaging, because she was articulate, insightful and could be very funny too.

Amazing how She remembered the time when he'd interviewed her last, better than he did! Loved this period of Siouxsie, as she had really come into full-bloom as both a beautiful & desirable woman. Although, I had been listening to her and bandmates for years, her artistry was on such a level that it was rarely even a consideration that she was a woman.
If only the Banshees would have made residence in the States and a few other places outside of the U.K. they would have been as big as other Punk Bands till this day....Damn it I wish they would get Souxsie and the Banshees to do the opening track to Bond 25
