You should be commended for the work you do to student and professional instruments. As a retired band teacher, I really wish I had a repair shop like yours near me. You go above and beyond to give every player the best horn to play as a student or professional. It is hard enough for a beginning student to play with a great horn than to be fighting a none functioning instrument. Thank you for being the technician and person you are. Love your work and your attitude to your profession!!!!!!!
There’s allot to these types of repairs and experience accounts for allot in that business! Nice to see someone that knows how to fix and adjust these instruments 👍🏻
In highschool I was very poor and played in the band, first chair flute for three years. Being poor I had to repad and repair my own flute, coming from a mechanical background it was somewhat foreign to me to work on something so small and delicate, my Yamaha FL-34 got padded twice over the course of about 9 years cause thats all I could afford, played for ISSMA and performed as well as people with much more than I had. Being older now, about 25 I would love to have someone who was trained to repair take a look at and fix my own repairs to see how I stack up with nothing more than small engine mechanics knowledge
"Swedish pliers", - I've expanded my english vocabulary today, the "Swedish pipe wrench" I already knew, and the crescent wrench is originally from Sweden aswell. There has been a lot of competent tool makers in Sweden, - Bacho, Lindström, Sandvik and many more. Love your dent tool BTW, resembles of PDR in the car body shop
You got me reminiscing. Lady brings in a flute all dented and bent. Turns out her daughter got into a fight with another girl. They used their flutes like swords or clubs. Next day another lady comes in with a banged up flute. I say, let me guess? The look on her face when I nailed it.
I have a question about flute leaks, what would be the ideal way to check for a leak? Can you use the clarinet trick and do the vacuum test and/or use the leak light? Or is there another way of checking??
First of all: Another fine fine fun-to-watch time! Second: That's not just "plastic" my good man. Oh no no no... it looks to me that engineer Dave has indeed used a chunk of what is called UHMW. or Ultra High Molecular Weight polyethylene. Commonly referred to as.... plastic 🤭 THIRDLY: The term 'Thirdly' is most definitely a word and you are most definitely using it in its proper context. As an adverb that is used to introduce a third point. So don't let grammar Nazis misinform your instinctive intellect! -✌️
GUYS I NEED HELP!!! My G key is playing a F# and I have a concert in a week and a half. I have no idea why it is doing that and no tutorial is helping me. I have no time to take it to the repair shop because it takes about 3 weeks since where I live theres only one music store in the whole territory. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASEEE😭😭😭😭

Whenever I watch your videos I wonder who the next generation will be to do this.
Mad props to Engineer Dave. Really great crankshaft-based dent remover!
Dave the engineer must get a lot of enjoyment out of seeing you use his tools.
I enjoyed meeting you today. I am very impressed by your knowledge and your shop. I look forward to seeing you again.

Thank you for sharing! What is the lightbulb type inside the "oven"? 100W traditional over-sized? How hot should it be inside? Thank you.
O trabalhando do senhor é excelente!!!!! 👍👍👍
Love these videos
As a former flute player, composers made things difficult for us.

That Tool by Dave is awesome! Does it have a name? Dave's magic dent tool or something? Un-denter?
