Thank you so much for this video! The plush making community loves to gatekeep their plush pattern process through paywalls or vague tips. You sir are the reason I'm learning blender to make my own life sized polar bear, thank you again!!!
Aww, thanks. Yeah, as I progress, I really want to make sewing plushies as accessible as possible. I love making them so much, and I don't want to keep that love to myself. I want others to feel the same joys that I have when creating plushies. I don't want to keep it to myself. I'm happy to hear you are giving it a try.
I working on a life size grizzly bear and this video is also really helpfull for me. I just think its so cool that we are both making a huge bear!! Maybe we can excange ig to learn from eachother en show our progress?
I've been exploring and making dolls with similar methods in the past year, but I'm just an amateur, so the efficiency is really low. I'm so glad someone finally posted this video. It's really helpful to me!
THE CUTAWAY TO THE FIRST TRY AHHHHHHHHHHHHH its so funny lookinh but i love it. I hope you do some more bc this new process is so handy and im excited to see what you make
Plushify is great. And here a Blender Tip there is a Sewing Plugin for it who moves a copy of the Patterns on the screen and sew them back to the 3D modell. it is Helpfull when you don't know what is what, so you just klick on the Patern from the 3D Animation and it will mark it in the left side were your Patterns are.
Woah in am so glad this appeared in my recommended! I just finished my first larger plush a few days ago. I made and patterned that in Blender, but I just traced over the UV map in an art program to get my pattern, I will definitely be using Plushify on my next project like this!
google overlord recommended me this gem of a video after it noticed me searching sewing terms on google and also having used blender like a year ago. ty mr northway, it's super awesome that plushify is free to use.
soooo cool to see!! I'm so interested in trying this workflow, it sounds and looks like a ton of fun! another amazing and well-made video, thank you so much!
I'd wondered if something like this was possible! Blender's UV unwrap will also scale and distort the pieces to make it better fit the grid, but the foundation is still there to make it work. So cool to see it's actually possible!
Absolutely amazing video!! I saved up for the life size pokemon arcanine plushie for months only to realize they don't ship it to Germany and now I'm looking for ways to make one myself! òvó I love the idea of using blender for the pattern, thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I will have to give this a go. I used to do the work manually coloring each piece, and labeling it, making marks on each peice, etc. and while i can eyeball the size pretty decently, it was pretty gosh darn annoying to print a customers order, and it was like 13 inches instead of 15, have to find the percentage difference and resize. So these features just might up my productivity a ton. Thanks for sharing. Edit - your plushue turned out really adorable! I think if its possible, a lil thread sculpting on the eyes, would really push him to the next level! Cheers. I love making plushies too! It just brings the heart so much joy.
Man yeah that seems like a pain. Plushify should definitely help with that! And thanks for your recommendation. I've actually made over a dozen Plushises since this video and definitely made large improvements. I hope to make an updated video at some point 😁.
@CalebNorthway it was amazingly easy to use! Really glad to have found your video. You have also already improved so much, no where to go but up from here! Good luck!
Hello, it looks excellent! I am also making stuffed animal patterns with Blender, I still need to learn but here we go, I hope to see more stuffed animals created with Blender, a big hug from Peru
Super cool! Ive been thinking about learning blender ever since i found the plushify app, but i was intimidated by how many features blender has. This inspired me to continue learning! Thank you!
Thank you for this video! Super informative, I have been wanting to learn more about making plushies but don't know where to start, and this is such a cool method. Thank you for your creativity and thank you for sharing! ❤️
I WAS THINKING ABOUT THIS!!! BUT I NEVER SAW ANYONE DO IT!!! This was really entertaining to watch… I wish you luck on the rest of your journey!! :D ( PS: THE PLUSHIE CAME OUT ADORABLE
Aww, thanks! I'm glad you liked it! I've made so many things since this video, and workings digitaly has been my favorite way to work! I would definitely give it a try if it interests you 😁
I have been wanting to start plushies from my own patterns even though I have never made one before, I’ve never used Blender though but I am trying the process with Nomad Sculpt, still having trouble with the seam lines for it, but hoping someone figures out that app for plushie making
Idk this program is not super popular. I think it is slowly gaining more users. But in general making plushies is super time consuming no matter what so It can be discouraging. But with anough patience and determination you can definitely make Plushies. I would recommend at looking at blender tutorials on how to make low ploy animals. Also, read the general guidelines of how to use plushify and what models work for them.
Both applications are for pc (computers). So you can download Blender just by looking it up. And then, for plushify, you don't need to download anything. It's an online software. So you can look it up or go to plushify.net. If you need help on how to download blender I'd recommend finding a video on TH-cam.
@sew.meera1 for blender, you can download it on their website. If you have trouble I'd recommend finding a TH-cam video. As for plushify it's just a website. You don't need to download it. Just go to plushify.net
hey! I know this comment is super late, but I got a question that I'm wondering if you could answer. I'm making a plushie from a game model, and theres parts of the texture i want to put on it, (it has a panel for a face basically) and I'm wondering how I could size it appropriately. It's a texture on the model, not another part.Any tips?
I'm unsure. I know that pushily will only read your object if it contains triangles and quads. so if there is a texture you are trying to create you could try making it out of triangles and quads. I'm unsure if that answers your question though.
