    Exactly.
Water is essential in every aspect of our lives

Some of the most impactful engineering comes from water projects. Dams, treatment plants, distribution, desalination, etc. are all vital. I’ve worked on small scale groundwater remediation plants and large scale indirect potable reuse treatment plants. I think direct potable reuse aka “toilet to tap” will become more accepted in drought prone areas. Water industry has massive demand for environmental engineers especially in the southwest US.

    couldn't agree more!!

Yes, specially that mostly of the human waste is going to the bodies of water.

This may be a silly question, and I know this is a tricky question, but which states would you say are actually closer to being environmentally friendly? And are there any corporations at all that are? Thank you.

California: California has some of the most stringent environmental regulations in the country, particularly when it comes to air quality and greenhouse gas emissions.
Massachusetts: Massachusetts has a long history of environmental leadership, with strong regulations on everything from air and water quality to waste management.
Vermont: Vermont is known for its commitment to sustainable agriculture and forestry practices, as well as its efforts to promote clean energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The state has set a goal of achieving 90% renewable energy by 2050.
Oregon: Oregon has some of the most comprehensive and stringent land use regulations in the country, designed to protect natural resources and limit urban sprawl.
Washington: Washington has been a leader in promoting clean energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, with policies aimed at transitioning the state to a low-carbon economy.
Many corporations push for sustainability as part of their mission statement. Although I don't know how effective they really are at it. They could just be saying that to attractive young employees or just follow the hype.

To add what Randy said California is also in a water drought and have desalination plants which aren't that good for the environment. They lack aquifers refilling due to droughts and the excessive brine build up from taking ocean water as a source of drinking water.

Do you think one of the next wars will be fought over water? 2:08

There have been many small wars fought over resources, but I don't think World War 3 would happen because of something related to water.

That hurts as an environmental engineer who chose the energy specialisation

It will depend on your location, but I think energy is also a major field.

I have completed my bachelor's in civil engineering and planning to study masters in environmental engineering can you please tell me the pay once we complete the masters in University

According to data from the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of May 2020, the median annual wage for environmental engineers was $92,120. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $54,590 per year, and the highest 10 percent earned more than $144,970 per year.
However, it's important to note that the salary for an environmental engineer can vary depending on factors such as years of experience, level of education, industry, and geographic location. For example, environmental engineers working in the federal government tend to earn higher salaries than those working in consulting firms or state governments. Additionally, environmental engineers in cities with a high cost of living may earn more than those in areas with a lower cost of living.

Wt abt waste management ? 😢

Like I mentioned, I am biased towards water because I work in the water industry. But I can foresee Waste Management as an emerging issue in places that produce a lot of trash.
