      China's normal passenger vehicle market is 28.5 Million a year, US market is 17 million a year, (this tiny GoCart is: 1.8 million and "with hundreds of manufactures"). Over 40% of the profit of German's three luxury brands (Audi, BMW, Benz), coming from China. Most Chinese (to their detriment) are too image conscious to buy these type of vehicles.

      The USA has a well-established, gas-guzzling, fast-lane, automobile culture which makes it difficult for a small, slow, electric car like this to become popular there.

      It is very hard to compare directly. Lets take those who live in big cities in the comparison, even so they each prioritize different things. For example, the chinese has no need to buy cars in big cities because their public transportation is complete while Americans cant go anywhere without a car. 1 US dollar probably get you a big bag of chips while in China it can mean a complete meal.

      @X00079X 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Roger didit. That's racist. Unfortunately there has been a moral crisis in China now for a few decades since the communist reign started. China has been through a lot of turbulent and traumatic times in it modern history, and they brought great suffering to its people, both physically and psychologically. China has not yet recovered from these traumas culturally and psychologically. I would say the abandoning of it traditional cultural values while unable to establish a good modern counterpart is the reason for the moral crisis instead of the lack of Judeo-Christian values. It is the bad legacy of the cultural revolution and other horrible policy by the communist party which China has not yet recovered from despite of the elevation of poverty for millions of people. The world is diverse, and the Judeo-Christian values (which I appreciate and agree with in many cases) is not the only good value in the world. Look into the cultural history of China and many other non-Christian cultures you will see human can be decent and moral with values they created that are outside the Judeo-Christian realm. Be open-minded, because close-mindedness only inspires fear and cause conflicts and violence which leads to more problems instead of solutions.

      Different counties and states have different laws for mopeds. Most of the time a moped has a limiter(set by law) between 20-40 MPH and if it goes faster than that it is registered as a motorcycle. The same could be done for these mini cars.

There are many brands, the Burdy, the Mega, the chatenet in France and the Delec from Luxembourg, and many more.

      Don't worry, she can make more. Lack of population has never been a problem in China but lack of space is always an issue. The longest traffic jams are in China where they last for days. Better than a family of four on a moped. There is a small area near Tampa, FL called Sun City where it is illegal to drive cars--you have to park in a lot and use a golf cart when cruising through town. This is so the retirees can walk across the street without being bumper bait. No problem if you park on the grass either. I can see a use for LSEVs in all major cities since they are a quarter of the size of giant vehicles, don't fill the air with millions of tail pipes pumping pollution and can be parked nose first to the curb.

      Laurence Samael huh? You don't need gasoline to get electric energy... That's what solar panels and wind turbines are for. Planes or the "aviation enterprise" can also run on electric energy.
      The real reason is greed. If majority bought that cheap electric scooter-car then the profits of big businesses will be affected. Since it's electric, there'll be no need to buy gas so gasoline companies will go plonk.

    • @weneedmoreconsideratepeopl4006

      I facephoned myself after reading your reply lol. I think you're overcomplicating things a bit dude. Either that or you're an elaborate troll.
      My point is "gasoline is still legal" because of those greedy big businesses that won't accept their gas being potentially replaced by electric energy. They got rich because of gas right? And gasoline cars need their gas right? Now put two and two together. The OP asked their question and that's my answer.
      Now tell me, how does anything you said connect to that? How does it even connect to this thread dude.

    • @weneedmoreconsideratepeopl4006
      @weneedmoreconsideratepeopl4006 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really dude. Did you understand the point in my comments? Did you even read the actual content of my comments?
      I wasn't talking about which fuel is superior / sustainable, or how "gas is inseparable to daily life". That's just you.
      Why are you even pushing that when it has no connection to my point. I said my point was why "gasoline is still legal" and that's because of greed. I even explained why I thought that in my other comment since you apparently missed my point. And now you missed my point and went off-topic. Again.
      Look, I'm not here to start a debate about which fuel is sustainable or inseparable to daily life. People will obviously have different opinions on that. So if you think gas is whatever it is, then good on you dude. Hope you have a nice day and not twist anyone else's words.

    India's Tata Motors first made a $1500 combustion engine car way back in 2007 (Search about Tata Nano).
    But unfortunately it was a dud in the market as consumers wanted a more aspirational product. By the way, that car was much better & safer.
    Hopefully, now they (Tata Motors) can put a battery to that vehicle & seeing our neighbour leapfrog to a cleaner technology people's mindset will change & they'll adopt cleaner technologies.
    But, please note that in China things work differently, there their govt. itself promote certain industries, products & discourage others. But in a democratic system such things are not possible & everything is according to the market forces.
    So, though Indian Govt knows that people should buy these kind of cars but they can't influence/direct the people to act a certain way, That's the difference.
    By the way, India's annual oil import bill is north of 100 billion dollars a year, so it desperately needs to adopt this tech at a massive scale.

      The Nano has very low emissions, because it combines modern engine tech with a car sized as they were in the 90' in Europe, which also has the benefit of being easier to manoeuvre and find parking for in cities. In my country. any new model car has to have a national type inspection, something the importer pays for which costs in the neighbourhood of £8.000, so it is not like I can buy one in India and drive it home. Gasoline cars are not just yet banned in Europe.

    Simpleness and nature with a little bit of the most effective selective technologies always win in the end trust me
    Quality is very good in a world which has no politicians like the politicians in the world today
    But quality is not the most important thing if it is expensive and we have politicians like what we see So the only quality is what can stay in logical time not perfect but can do the work and can still for a fine period of time
    China win in this and the will destroy every economy because no one can reach their standards it is hard They move so fast in addition they study others movements so it is impossible for others to win without stopping them and stopping them is impossible too

    You get what you paid for. The car does not have air bag, ABS, power steering, or air conditioning and no crumble zone. You will be dead if you crash it at 30MPH. And the cheap lead acid battery probably last only 20K miles.

      The fact that it has no airbag, it's not any worse than her placing the child in the passenger seat with no seatbelt.

      Motorcycles don't have airbags too, and they travel at much faster speeds and a common on the roads. At least this small car has some form of protection.

    Brilliant solution to the transport problem for young people and people of moderate means who need to go 10-20 km to their destination but cannot afford the full size car. How it would work when mixed with full sized cars and single lane operations is another story. Most journeys in congested city traffic work out at 12-15 kph so there may be little problems.

    $1,500 for a small electric car would be nice. I travel only within 20 miles radius of where I live. Electricity is 4 times cheaper than gas. Added bonus. I just afraid the government car registration fee and required insurance by the government will make it beyond affordable for the poor.

      Gasoline costs $0.18 a mile, electricity costs $0.04 a mile. If I drive 15,000 miles a year, my saving will be $2,100. $2,700 is gas and $600 is electricity. Over 5 years, I will save $10,500.
