Guys, what you just reviewed is part of Mythology. The dance performed by Lord Shiva is known as Tandava. 'Tandava' is respected in the tradition as it is the most outstanding expression of the divine rhythm, ecstasy, energy and cosmic balance. His dance indicates the destruction of the universe. Tandava is a powerful dance that is the source of the cycle of creation, preservation and dissolution
Sorry to point, that thandava does not indicate destruction of universe. Siva performs several forms of thandava like ananda-thandava (when he is happy in the company of devotees and other deities, mainly during pradosha time), samgama-thandava (erotic thandava with Parvathi), rudra-thandava (angry, performed when he knew Sati had died), unmatha-thandava (intoxicated, performed in cremation ground with bhoot-gana), Mahathandava (end-of-cosmos dance, in which Siva and Shakthi becomes a singularity and universe merge into it) and so on....
Each dance mudra (posture), she made tells a whole expression of the words in depiction. The classical dance mudras are something that makes you exceptionally great artist to be able to perform
Wait bro that saying is only for the rudra tandav right the one which expresses anger. I am a hindu but i dont know much about the mythology and i am only learning right now. So if you could tell me something about this that would be great dude.
@@tiachoudhary5967 tandav have 2 forms first is Anand tandav which is the dance of joy . And second is the rudra tandav which is for destruction ( to be more specific to create balance once again . ) with the vishnu's shank's shankhnad , brahma's chant ,saraswati's, veena kali's hunkar ,and laxmi's anger Shiva do the tandav to start the ground for creation once again . Jai shiv shambhu🚩
With ego, Ravan had tried to lift Kailas, but when Siva pressed down his toes gently, entire mountain crushed on him. With this hundred hands, Ravan couldn't lift the mountain again. After suffering for a few days, he understood the greatness of Kailas and apologized to Siva. Still, Siva didn't lift his toes. Out of sympathy, Parvathi instructed Ravan to please Siva and make him perform Ananda-Thandava, for which he will have to lift his feet. Being expert in languages, music and arts, Ravan created this poem as a praise to the lord, and Siva becoming happy lifted his feet to start ananda-thandava. In that second of time, Ravan removed his hand.
@@opnandan I know bro. This is the full story. But it was not ego he wanted to take shiva home where he could continue the medication and Ravana could worship him all the time. But lord Shiva didn't notice that Ravan had come there because he was completely consumed by the meditation. Then Ravan tried to shook and lift Kailas so that he could take the mountain home and Shiva could continue his meditation.
In classical music and dances, everything is meaningful like different classical form have their specific dressing styles, ornaments and makeup styles, different moves and ways of telling the story. Here she is wearing a Saree. But in India, different regions wear saree very differently, men too wear saree like single unstitched fabric piece call dothi or vesti etc. Even people of different work profile in ancient times and today too wear saree(women) or dothi (men) differently, like Warriors differently then Priests and common people wear it differently. It depends upon what way is more comfortable for their work profile.
deep concentration on the video., That s the power of the Spritual Thing. usually they re chatting and sarcasting each other during the play of videos. but this time they didn`t even blink their eyes.,
This sanskrit hymm is as old as universe, now some people will say that 3000 years before there was stone age and bla bla , let me tell u its all western propoganda to justify Christianity, ram bhagwan born at the end of treta yug which is 9 lakh years before from now, and rama built the ram setu b/w india and srilanka when they did the carbon dating it was also found to be 9 lakh years old, the lost city of dwarika of bhagwan krishna has also been found near gujrat under the sea, we even have swords, utensils, raths from great mahabharata battle which was fought 5000 years ago, and also everyone is aware of our oldest civilization indus valley civilization, mohan zodaro, the civilization which had toilets, sewage treatment plant, flood controling system , useful advanced tools and equipments, those westerners and some dumb countries use to say that Britain taught us the way to be civilized and etc shit, their mouth were shut down when we found the books of great chanakya the first book in the world abt constitution, knowledge abt managment and ruling a country which is also popular by name (chanakya niti) india is far ancient then any country, not just current india but many other countries were joined with india before continental shifting But even after these we cant prove actual date (regarding the very beggining situation of earth and humanity and mostly around ram bhagwan timeline, mahabharat date is accurate it happened 5000 years ago) cause in vedas some people r interpreting the date to be limited to thousands, and some r interpreting it to limited to lakhs Either the interpretation is wrong or we r still missing some link to connect all these things cause our all important ancient books were burned in nalanda University, so there r many links missing to actually prove the date but the one thing which we can totally agree is that there was nothing before sanatan dharma, its proof r not just in india but distributed all over the world, and all those agenda planners have tried to limit the dates or destroy those proofs through various ways like writing wrong history, fake scientific claim , and etc
It's true that there was a time when the entire Earth was called as Bharat... There was no foreign country... All were one.. Geographical changes separated separated us and humans too. There is only one dharma..Sanatan Dharma...Which is the religion of every finite soul
A lot of people throw a derogatory connotation of Shiva. The depiction is he is the destroyer of Maya/ illusions. Destroyer of bad within you and destroyer of unnecessary thoughts, silence your mind to become meditative. The ultimate destruction is a natural process just like how a star decays after its life, so does the universe from which a new universe is built. It is a cycle.
(American) Guys - it's not a pant or skirt - it is Saree that typically Indian women wears. Search on "Saree-clad women" and you'd find enormous number of images and videos. And it is Lord Shiva's (one main deity of Hindus) Tandav dance that expressed "Anger", "Destruction", "Peace and Calm" at the same time; as Shiva represents destruction. Concept is, every creation ends with destruction (I am talking about "the Universe", here). Hindu believes in Creation and Destruction of Multiverse systems of the cosmos. Btw, it's too HIGH for you guys to understand who still believe that world was just created in 11 days, keeping earth in the center of it. Anyways ....
*This is Bharatnatyam dance(one of the 8 classical dances of India)..This dance form is very pious n is done to depict/narrate a story..Through this dance form and piece of music (shiva stotram) the dancer was trying to glorify and worship lord Shiva as he is considered as one of the creator and destroyer of the universe in Hindu folklores*
You guys are doing awesome work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 love to see you all 😍😍😍 lots n lot of love ❤️ care 💕 n respect ✊🏻 from India 🇮🇳 love you guys 💗 keep it going 🙏🏻 merry Christmas 🎄 in advance ⭐️

No it's a traditional saree which Indian women wear.she was doing classical dance . love to see u guys love it.yes she was telling story of lord Shiva doing puja n all.its all about expression 🙏
Siva represents the fundamental energy that holds the universe together, one that creates anew after the act of destruction. She poses how he is shown in Hindu iconography - as the one brings the balance to give life, the rivers, the moon, weather, and owns all the dimensions and time itself. I like to think of Siva = everything in physics. That’s why there’s a big statue of him in Nataraja form outside CERN laboratory in Switzerland, and referred to by Oppenheimer after the nuclear bomb was dropped on Japan.
It's written by Ravan He's the greatest Shiva devotee of all time that he managed to get the title 'Eshwar' Only 3 of them has this title *Shiva himself (Eshwar) *Saturn( saneeshwar) *Ravana(Ravaneeshwar)
I appreciate the girls efforts but Tandav is actually very energetic dance and the beat is also very strong that it makes you dance along. Overall I like her efforts.
@@GalaxyHealthVideos lol, it's Shiv Tandava not any Bharatnatyam or other Tamil traditional dance also here this is lyrical(and the lyrics r in Sanskrit too) while in classic Tamil Nadu dance there is no lyrics in any type of traditional classical dances bt only body movement on music sounds.
In hindhu religius, every god and goddes have there owns dance, one and the other is different. The dance is reflection the character from god or goddes.
Honestly she is a great dancer ,and offcourse the tandava strotam is amazing but I didn't like the choreography of this. You may disagree but I didn't get the power of the song in dance and she was not using the rythm well.
35th dislike for wrong selection of music speed with dance speed. and you are like always like to judging people as you are the very superior soul. everyone has their views. may be somebody dislike modern mahabharat becoz he like the way of mahabharat which B R Chopra presented in past. so it is not good thing to always judge people.
So shiv tandava stotra, as said in many comments here, was written by Ravan. But the dance of 'Tandava" predates that. And is believed to be the dance Shiva performs with his third eye open when he destroys the universe.
The song is Shiva Tandava stotram, glorifying lord shiva, written by Ravana. The dance steps are standard representation of the meaning of the song. Means even a deaf can understand the meaning of the song by seeing it. That is the beauty of indian classical dance.
Honestly speaking these dance forms are very very tough cause I have experienced as I have learnt Bharatnatyam and Kathak for awhile. Lord those hand movements and feet movments are all so confusing and were so not easy to learn even the facial expressions. And as Troy said balance is what matters and every detail is noticed. I wish I could learn both of the form but couldn't. Thanks for the appreciation Guys! You all are so sweet.♥️

Stop calling our ancient history as 'mythology' 🙏🙏
Each dance mudra (posture), she made tells a whole expression of the words in depiction. The classical dance mudras are something that makes you exceptionally great artist to be able to perform
Troy is a keen observer. He always points out things that can easily be forgotten in the light of beauty, grace, glamour etc.
in hindu mythology this dance is known as tandav when lord shiva opened his third eye and start his tandav the world end is near.......
According to hindu mythology whenever shiva dance this ....it is just the end of everything ....
Wait bro that saying is only for the rudra tandav right the one which expresses anger. I am a hindu but i dont know much about the mythology and i am only learning right now. So if you could tell me something about this that would be great dude.

The information is wrong.
This song is about lord shiva and was performed by Ravana to seek blessings form lord Shiva, the god of gods.
@@asr529 that exactly is ego, isn't it? To even think that he could lift Kailas, isn't it his ego (ahankar)?

In classical music and dances, everything is meaningful like different classical form have their specific dressing styles, ornaments and makeup styles, different moves and ways of telling the story.
Here she is wearing a Saree. But in India, different regions wear saree very differently, men too wear saree like single unstitched fabric piece call dothi or vesti etc. Even people of different work profile in ancient times and today too wear saree(women) or dothi (men) differently, like Warriors differently then Priests and common people wear it differently. It depends upon what way is more comfortable for their work profile.
Whenever I listen Shiv Stotram I feel ultimate goosebumps.......
deep concentration on the video., That s the power of the Spritual Thing. usually they re chatting and sarcasting each other during the play of videos. but this time they didn`t even blink their eyes.,
Most of Hindus had this ring tone on Phones
This is not just a dance, it's a kind of Tapasya for every classical dancer. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Tandava is the ultimate cosmic dance of Lord Shiva who transforms into Nataraja!
World's all dances seem pale in front of lord Shiva's tandav and Indian hindu classical dance 💯. Proud to be Hindu ❤

U guys have to imagine her as goddess is dancing then only u will feel the dance 🙂
This sanskrit hymm is as old as universe, now some people will say that 3000 years before there was stone age and bla bla , let me tell u its all western propoganda to justify Christianity, ram bhagwan born at the end of treta yug which is 9 lakh years before from now, and rama built the ram setu b/w india and srilanka when they did the carbon dating it was also found to be 9 lakh years old, the lost city of dwarika of bhagwan krishna has also been found near gujrat under the sea, we even have swords, utensils, raths from great mahabharata battle which was fought 5000 years ago, and also everyone is aware of our oldest civilization indus valley civilization, mohan zodaro, the civilization which had toilets, sewage treatment plant, flood controling system , useful advanced tools and equipments, those westerners and some dumb countries use to say that Britain taught us the way to be civilized and etc shit, their mouth were shut down when we found the books of great chanakya the first book in the world abt constitution, knowledge abt managment and ruling a country which is also popular by name (chanakya niti) india is far ancient then any country, not just current india but many other countries were joined with india before continental shifting
But even after these we cant prove actual date (regarding the very beggining situation of earth and humanity and mostly around ram bhagwan timeline, mahabharat date is accurate it happened 5000 years ago) cause in vedas some people r interpreting the date to be limited to thousands, and some r interpreting it to limited to lakhs
Either the interpretation is wrong or we r still missing some link to connect all these things cause our all important ancient books were burned in nalanda University, so there r many links missing to actually prove the date but the one thing which we can totally agree is that there was nothing before sanatan dharma, its proof r not just in india but distributed all over the world, and all those agenda planners have tried to limit the dates or destroy those proofs through various ways like writing wrong history, fake scientific claim , and etc
That's true. They only want to satisfie their theory.
It's true that there was a time when the entire Earth was called as Bharat... There was no foreign country... All were one.. Geographical changes separated separated us and humans too. There is only one dharma..Sanatan Dharma...Which is the religion of every finite soul
Why it was burned in Nalanda university?

A lot of people throw a derogatory connotation of Shiva. The depiction is he is the destroyer of Maya/ illusions. Destroyer of bad within you and destroyer of unnecessary thoughts, silence your mind to become meditative. The ultimate destruction is a natural process just like how a star decays after its life, so does the universe from which a new universe is built. It is a cycle.
I feel like I'm gaining Positive energy... during Goosebumps 😲
Tandav is the first dance and last in Universe..😇😇😇

For you guys it just a song. but ask us, what is this. It Gives GOOSEBUMPS EVERYTIME... HAR HAR MAHADEV🧡🙏🏻
