Hi there. Great tutorials, however I am having issue downloading my program (same as the one in the video) onto the emulator. I repeatedly get message "Download Failed! Program is incompatible with the processor!" Any suggestions?
I thought Emulate500 is compatible with programs for MicroLogix 1100.

Hi. Make sure the software versions major revision matches the processor revision

Hello PLCgurus.net, I’ve got one more year of college before I get my industrial controlling degree. I want to keep my plc skills fresh for next year so I’m prepared for what every they throw at me, so I downloaded the software in this video and followed all your steps. I’ve been trying to run a little test program, i debugged it and made sure everything is correct. All the of the steps worked but right before the program runs a notice pops up telling me it cant find the file I’m trying to run. And solutions?

I'm using Windows 10. I have everything installed but when I try to RSLogix Emulate 500 it says: "Failed to update the System Registry. Please check registry security rights or try using REGEDIT." How do I fix this issue??

The issue is likely Windows 10 compatibility. The RS500 Emulator is now what I would consider legacy. Its not designed to run on Windows 10. Perhaps there is a registry hack out there, but I personally I have not tested it. Reverting to Windows 7 in a VM may be a good option.

@@PLCGurusNET Oh OK. What do you mean by reverting back to Windows 7 using a "VM"?

Hi Shaine. You could use a Virtual Machine running Windows 7...something like Virtualbox which is free and pretty good would work. Of course you'll need a Windows 7 image.

@@PLCGurusNET Yikes! That's over my head. What do you mean by windows 7 image? I guess I could Google "virtual machine"?!
