    Hi there. I'm gonna take my chances and assume the TV I want to buy, LG 55UR91003LA, is in fact a version of the UR90 presented here. My question would be, does the UR90 have a headphone jack output? I have an old but perfect 5.1 sound system which I can connect to a TV only with a 5 pin din (to subwoofer) to jack (TV headphone) cable. Thanks in advance!

    Normally I'd say that you should wait at least a few years between new TV's so that you can really appreciate the leap in technology but this might be one exception. I still run a TV from 2018 personally as my main TV, and a TV from 2011 in the spare room.

    • @TechSteve
      @TechSteve  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sometimes I wish I thought like you, I swap everything every 1 to 3 years. Us techy people find it hard to hold on to older products even if it’s good

    • @markh351
      @markh351 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TechSteve LOL I totally get it and can be like that myself sometimes with certain things! But in the case of my old TV from 2011, it is a 3D TV which they do not make anymore and I have it paired with a PlayStation 3 and it's great because I have a good number of 3D movies yet (plus the 55" screen size is good for the spare room). My main TV has exceptional screen uniformity for a large LED and it's 75 inch, so that might be a big part of the reason why I hang onto it.

    • @TechSteve
      @TechSteve  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @markh351 I use 2 iMac Pros in the studio, my main one is full loaded 4TB, 128gb ram, Vega 56 video card and it was about $8000 when I got it in 2017 so I recently purchased a base model Mac Studio because all of the hype. In my opinion the 2017 still blows it out of the water so unfortunately I’m taking it back and keeping the Pro so I do have exceptions to the rule.

    My biggest wish is that the edge led choice of the UR series will not cause screen damage after some months of use like on the samsung TU and AU models.
    Direct led have better heat dissipation which obviously helps to increase the durability of the TV's. Let's wait some months and see the results....

    • @Linnjazzy-93
      @Linnjazzy-93 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your comment doesn’t make sense , tv failure is common, I bought a Philips oled 65 inch £2500 and after a week I had a line on the screen, I have a sharp 32 inch edge led £150 and last 15 years , no issue.

    • @samibouhadida5314
      @samibouhadida5314 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Linnjazzy-93 It lasted 15 years because it is not a thin TV so heat can easly dissipateped wich protects the TV screen. In some newer edge led models the led strip isn't even mounted in an aluminium ramp like in older series which means that heat will directly hit the screen especially at max brightness, and that's why the lifespan rarely exceeds 2-3 years, and this is the case of recent samsungv TV. I hope that LG 2023 models are adequately protected, in which case they will encounter a lot of success. Let's wait....
