I just purchased the 43" version of this for my bedroom. I really like how thin it is for wall mounting. The picture quality is excellent and the lighting uniformity is good for an edge lit panel. The software does lag a bit going into settings versus my 65" QNED MiniLED I have in the living room. The built-in speakers could be better as well. With that said I am satisfied with the TV. It's a good set for the price.
I've just ask about the scaling for sd and 720p streaming. ¿Could you tell me if it is good for sd and 720p streaming video like netflix, disney etc?
@mapachedylan1650 I have a Google Chromecast 4K hooked up to it, so obviously, no matter what I play through that it's being upscaled before it hits the TV. I can tell you if I use the TH-cam app on the built-in WebOS system and hit a video that was recorded with decent equipment in 480p or 720p, it looks just fine. I don't use those other services. My cable TV is now just an app based service on the Chromecast since the cable company here is moving away from traditional QAM cable service and going all IP.
How is gaming on it

What do you think about ur81 series lg? Are all size panels ips? I coludn't make a full decision between ur81 and cu8000. Which one do you prefer usually dark scenes success. A new comparison comes with those? Thanks.

The UR75 (or UR7550) just hit my market as the entry level model. The specs are identical to your market's UR9000 so i wont be surprised if both are rebadged variants of each other.

The lagging software is due to near average performance of alpha gen 5 processors, i just need to know how did you find the black color performance of this ips panel, do blacks look grey like everyother ips panels from LG without local dimming, also did you notice any lightbleeding, you are reaching 200K soon Steve 😊

What's the power consumption? Looking to fit one into a van build. 43" version.
How does it compare to Samsung Q60B Qled in terms of picture quality, colours, viewing angles, sound output. (price and launch year is not an issue)
I just got the 65" ur9000 at Bestbuy for $549, replacing a LG 55" 7300 that's 4 1/2 years old, the screen showed everything in blue. I wanted to stay with LG to keep the operations the same and can use the older remote the wife is familiar with. As for Smart TV, I have everything on Firestick in one HDMI and Directv in another - the tv doesn't need my info to sell. Nice review, the tv set up easily, is fine for our purpose, and if it makes it for 4 years I can live with that. My main tv is about 13 yr old Panasonic Plasma 60" in 1080, a fine machine that I enjoy.
Just today I got the same TV at Target for $188!

tech steve help had my c2 2 month wot a tv for films & gaming but set up ps5 hdr calibration right but if turn on hgig do i have to re do the ps5 hdr calibration again

Hello Steve. Just bought LGUR9000, 55 inch. Does this tv come with any Screen protector film that needs to be removed? This does not have any corner sticker usually tv's do to peel off film from corner, but does not not. Only had middle plastic sticker similar the TV you presented in your video. just want to make sure before I try anything else. Don't want to damage the screen. Thank u

I have the UR 81 (uk) I have to say the picture is excellent-really surprised me.
The sound has been the same I’m seriously impressed with it.
The ONLY downside is the laggy OS what a shame. I’m now thinking over adding an Apple TV box just to bypass the lag. It’s not really serious, you do get there in the end but it does annoy me so I will problem solve it.
Other than that I don’t know the difference between the 8/9 series but I can’t recommend mine enough it’s easily on par if not better than a lot of higher value tv’s I watched the Masters golf and the images were stunning.
They’ve done an excellent job with this tv. Which is probably aimed at the average home user - I’m a tech-a-holic but this tv is seriously presented well (not the laggy OS sadly) and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it 👍

As per Rtings review the UR8000 is better in every category expect viewing angles, you can also get it in an 86" size with a 120hz refresh rate in the 86" model only.
I just joined your channel. Great content! So, recently got the UR9000 in 50”. Love the picture it’s beautiful. Unfortunately the sound is garbage. I always buy LG it’s my go to flat screen. I’m very disappointed with the sound. What’s worse, after installing the TV on a wall mount and plugging in my new Roku ultra I realized my stereo receiver a Denon from 2012 does not upscale 4K. Looks like I’ll be buying a new receiver at some point. I have two front bookshelf speakers Klipsch RB61’s and a center Polk speaker and Polk touchstone in the rear. Don’t really need a sound bar but if I don’t want to run my whole speaker set to watch the news or TV show maybe a Bluetooth sound bar could help improve the terrible LG sound. It appears LG sacrificed the sound for a very thin flat screen. I’m not complaining about that but man the sound is awful.

We just purchased the 65" from best buy. Your review is very helpful. The picture is great. However, what do you think about the sound? I hate it. Sounds like you're listening in a tunnel. Anyone else have this problem? We've tried different settings. I may return it?!
You’re asking someone who never uses TV speaker no matter how good they are. Gets a basic sound bar and never look back
May just be the room mine is in, but I use the music setting but I also have surround sound for movies and sports lol. I like the sound on it

I jst bought the cu 8000 Sunday 30th but the white bleeding on black sceen has me sad luckily enough im still on warranty im thinking going back to get the ur 9000 for a 30 dollar difference what you think Steve 🤔

I noticed this tv doesn't crash with its processor vs the tvs running mobile chips. My 2023 hisence a6g crashed all the time and needed rebooted constantly. Not the LG. BTW, my hisence a6g backlights died after just 7 months of very light home use. I'll NEVER buy Hisence brand again. My last 55" LG7600 3D I believe it was, lasted 13 years or better, so I went with LG again. I'm happy with it.
i just got my 50 inch ur9000 today. i like it better on standard mode. cinema and expert the colors look to washed out.

Not at this time, last year I spent $1600 on the 48” just to find out it wasn’t WOLED it was a very bad investment far as views. I’m looking for bang for your buck models so i can buy more TVs
Hey Steve how are these lower end LG tvs honestly? I think the TCL and Hisense and some of the Sony and Samsung lower end tvs are better choices. Just my opinion.
I stay non bias, but I don’t use any of these TVs more than a few days so i think they are fine for most people

I like LG but I don't like most of their mid-tier TVs they are very reflective where you got to put them in the darkest part of the room.

It still looks great, Dolby Vision was designed for high end TVs now i feel like they are just taking the money. It was built for 12bit displays and up to 10,000 nits. Now companies are putting it on 8 bit panels with 400 nits 🤦🏽♂️ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolby_Vision
