This is still ridiculous, even after knowing the cost of your import duty you're still not allowed to clear your property without a clearance agent. Therefore you're forced to have this agent so that you can be scammed for additional illegal charges, it's hilarious.

Hi - does anyone know if I export a car from Ghana ( Already registered in Ghana ) to the UK for a period of time ( to be worked on ) and re-import it to Ghana, I will have to pay for duty charges when it arrives back in Gnana? thank you.

My goods are from Ghana to Germany, I don't need an agent, I just go and pay my goods fee in the office then I go and pick up my goods.
The agents in Ghana are the ones making things difficult.

Liars! Even if you have a bill of sale for a brand new Car from a dealer or a used car, Ghana dont care about it...they have their own prices that they "think" that your vehicle should worth.. For this there's no standard because the cost prices are everywhere and it depends who you meet to value your car and Also how strong and knowledgeable your agent is. Garbage Country even today August 2023 Ghana is the only country in the world charging importers for two COVID 19 taxes...what COVID 19 have to do with importing a vehicle or any goods?
