      @@kingstal90 no word of a lie....and it gets worst my brother......it depends on the area but most areas water is found 150 metres on average which mean you'll most likely pay 30,000 dollars. I'm thinking of buying a portable borehole drill for this very reason it would be cheaper just to buy one and then rent it out for drilling at a much cheaper price.

    Excellent and so informative. I’m black American and been looking at various videos on building a home in Ghana. Yours and one other channel of a couple who retired to Ghana from UK, are the only videos that have details, easy to understand, orderly and logical. The fact that Asher is an EE is what makes yours the better channel on the subject. It’s just so difficult, they say they want us to return and help build, but they make it unnecessarily difficult. Is your home in the Accra area, or Kumasi area? Thx and have a good evening.

    Really enjoying your videos..!
    I haven't caught up with all of the previous ones, so I find that whenever I have a question or comment about something, you've usually answered that question brilliantly already in one or more of the earlier videos!
    So I'll try to hold onto my questions/comments until I've reviewed a bit more.
    Watching from my own home in NYC, which has been in the family for decades. Family roots are in Virginia (Richmond, Jamestown, Hampton, etc.) as far back as 1700s, that I've been able to trace: to "free people of color" in Pharnham County, and various other towns.
    But, of course, we all know those roots extend back in time to our common motherland: Africa.
    Hopefully, I'll get to visit one day..
    Meanwhile.. keep up all your wonderful building, and your generous sharing and education; very much appreciated.
    Thanks to you both: Kingsley and your beautiful, gracious wife!

      @@kingstal90 Tell me about it. Soo angry about that. When the time comes, I’ll make a in ground 8000 gallons concrete tank for rain water harvesting and which will need to serve three apartments and the main house so I may have to buy in initial water to Commision the tank. I’ll pump up to rooftop holding tank like yours and use gravity. I’ll also design in a separate filtering system for car washing and irritation. I’ll post when I make TH-cam channel. Big up yourself 🙏🏾👊🏾🇯🇲🇬🇧

    • @lennieadi
      @lennieadi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What would also be cool Is. How can we find a electronic relay pressure switch system that knows when the rooftop tank arrives at 100-150 gallons then the water tank pump or in your case the borehole tank kicks in to refill 800/1000 gallons roof tank and stops pumping when it knows the tank is full. Id love a system that could do that. What’s your thoughts?

    Thanks so much for this, just having a borehole drilled, starting today, after 7 yrs. My mistake was relying on Ghana water supply to get water into the roof top poly tank, to distribute to the various pipes in the hse. It's been abysmal! We're having to purchase water regularly because have had no water for months now. Yet they keep sending water bills! I'd advise those who haven't started building their homes, consider borehole as per Asher & Gad. The surveyors 've found 2 points of water source. But ideally, I would've preferred it in another part of the building, if I'd not dillied & dallied about having a borehole drilled! Will certainly affect the aesthetics in-situ, implying more works to be done on the ground afterwards. Well, que sera sera! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ Many thanks for sharing your experience . Your explanation & visual aid put things into perspective.

    Why didn’t you do the bore hole water first to use for building the house and waited till you finished the house to build it. Just curious, thanks

      We’re in the uk and planning on moving to Ghana so we’re building our house bit by bit and of course it will take time but you will definitely get there. At first we were sending money to a relative to help us but that didn’t work because they used our money for their own enjoyment so what we do now is that each time my husband goes to Ghana some building work is done. We’ve just finished the foundation the last time he went 😂 next time he goes god willing next year he will do the block 🙏🏾

    Should incase you installed filtration system how and within what period do you have to replace the filter?

    • @kingstal90
      @kingstal90  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on the type of filtration system - Reverse Osmosis, Iron Removal, or Fluoride Removal. We have the latter. Best to speak to your filtration expert to confirm.

    Great System!. I am building in Sierra Leone. Will like to implement something similar. Did you buy the filtration system overseas? I will buy this water filtration plan once we get a borehole.

      Filtration system was purchased in Ghana
      All details are in the ebook for Fluoride removal / Reverse Osmosis and Iron removal. As well as the water system design itself.
