Jonalyn Viray versus electric guitar live at Sunday All Stars
She was the first ever grand champion from the singing competition Pinoy Pop Superstar in the Philipines and then won in the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS OF PERFORMING ARTS in Hollywood where she bagged 5 GOLD MEDALS.
She is known for her soulful voice, extreme belting ability, and the ability to sing in the whistle register. She has cited Mariah Carey and Regine Velasquez as her greatest musical influence, along with Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Aretha Franklin and Patti LaBelle.
She is currently in a group called La Diva with Aicelle Santos as alto, Maricris Garcia as mezzo-soprano and Viray as Soprano. She was also in a group called DECIBELLES with Kyla and Rachelle Ann Go. She had a recent concert with Frencheska Farr and Julie Ann San Jose entitled 'Beyond Limits'.
She is in contemporary with Sarah Geronimo, Rachelle Ann Go, Charice Pempengco, Kyla, Angeline Quinto and Nina Girado.

mark junoh Erykah Badu, Monica Naranjo, Vanessa Amorosi, and Cheryl Lynn are some other names that come to mind. Erykah, afaik, can hit a D6 in belted mixed voice. Pretty amazing. :)

itong taong ito ang dapat nagcoconcert sa araneta at hindi yung kung sinu-sinong sintunado lang o basta makakanta lang at pumipiyok pa eh napuno daw ang araneta. sana bigyan pa sya ng mas malaking break ng gma7. she's got one of the best singing voices in the philippines. ANG GALING MO!
She sang a D3 note in unbreak my heart, making it her lowest note atm ( previously F3 ) and thus shows she has the capability of hitting notes lower than F3

Hindi yan full voice/natural voice/chest voice na birit. Mixed na yan. Kahit sinong generic na conteserang biritera magagawa yan kung mixed voice din ang ginamit.

Liam Kevin Arch I beg to disagree po.Madami pong singers sa pinas ang nakakaabot ng C6 na note. Si Regine, si Lani at kahit si Sarah. Ive been a music teacher for 2 decades and I can tell you now that anything above B5 is not a chest voice. You can hit a C6 using headtone or mixed voice. Whistle naman starts at F6. So yung mga nagkiclaim po na si jonalyn "LANG" ang may pinakamataas na chest voice sa pinas, thats not true. Dalawa po silang may hawak nun, Regine and Jonalyn po yun. Again I have nothing against jonalyn kasi hangang hanga ako sa batang ito. Im telling this just to clear out things.

Tama po kayo but dont confuse yourself kasi a c6 can never be considered as chest voice para klaro po tayo. Kung chest voice ang pag uusapan which is a b5, dalawa lang ang may video nyan dito sa youtube (regine and jonalyn). Kung headtone, mixed at whistle naman i doubt kung si jonalyn lang nakakagawa nyan kasi ive seen alot of videos here na mga kontesera na nakakaabot ng mas mataas pa sa c6 mixed ni jona. Sa high ka diva na video gumamit din sila ng mixed dun.

The 14 - 15 is the C6 note in Chest mix, and the 22 - 24 is the C6 note in HeadVoice/Tone!
Joseph Advincula anything above B5 po is not considered chest voice. A c6 note can only be hit using headtone or mixed voice. No one in this world can hit a c6 note in pure chest voice, not even the likes of patti, vanessa amorossi or sohyang..all of them are using mixed to make it sounds like chesty but its not.
@@jedoninph1477 both chest and head tension , but Jona's C6 sound more fuller than a usual mix , she has a very powerful chest that her C6 almost sound chest , her c6 is not thin at all . yes, she's doing a powerful resonant mix that almost sound like a chest.

Of course it is a BIG deal. She is a talented Filipina. No one in her generation did hit a C6 in mixed voice before. For your information, you can't belt a C6 note using PURE CHEST voice. Yes, she hit the note using her mixed voice, but it was a BALANCE MIX of both chest and head. Please know your facts. In terms of versatility, we can say that because of her range she is VERSATILE to sing songs of DIFFERENT GENRES. Obviously, you're comment is not a constructive criticism but a mere product of your bitterness.
At the end of the day, it all boils down to just a matter of appreciation.
Esmyuski lang po. Singer ka ba or vocal coach? You don't seem to know what you're talking about. Hitting a B♭5, B5, or C6 note (and above) using chest is NOT physiologically possible. Talagang may halong head na yan kapag ganyan kataas ang nota. It's not "daya". Just saying.
