It’s interesting, I’m guessing this one was on your backlog of previously recorded videos or you had the link saved for a while, because I made this one unlisted a while ago, because I wanted to update it 😂 At this point, I think more people refer to this team as Dream Team 3, so I’ll take the L on the title. Anyways, always enjoy the reactions and feedback man! P.S. I was using that music before Skap had even started his channel, but I decided to give it up recently because he made it his own and people only think of Skap🤣🤣
Hey Jonny! Yeah this one was in the backlog for a bit. What's funny is back in 96 we called them Dream Team 2. Suddenly this changed and they're calling it dream team 3. I dunno lol. History get rewritten sometimes. That's so funny about the music man. Yeah Skap made that his go to music for every video so I totally get why you let it go. Great content as always Jonny 👏 👌 👍
@@TheRealMindCrimeNice reaction, great assist to Skap on the music Jonny. No team - ever - is messing with this front court. Shaq, Hakeem, and Robinson are a JUGGERNAUT! 😳
Completely agree. Dream Team 2 was the stuff and supremely underrated. As much as I love Kobe, the redeem team just doesn’t compare. I’m a Jazz fan, Stockton and Malone were definitely in their prime. One of my biggest sports flex is having seen them play against mj and pip in person. Another banger reaction. You and btm got me watching bball again tyyy!
@@TheRealMindCrime yeah the bulls won a game by 40 pts where the jazz scored in the 50s lol....but the rest of the games were close. And Utah at home was always scary....
I also know them as Dream Team 2. I remember watching thise games when I was a kid on a delayed telecast on our local sports channel. Man, those were the days.
I do agree that the difference was MJ not in the 1996 team. But Shaq was under consideration also in the 1992 team and yet Coach Daly went to Laettner because he was a more proven player than Shaq in the college circuit that time and of course Coach K was part of Daly's staff. If only a '96 Shaq was able to play on the '92 team and also Hakeem (who became a naturalized US citizen in 1993) , we cannot fathom the outcome of each game. Both '92 and '96 squads only have one each player not in the Naismith HOF as individual and those were Laettner and Hardaway but Laettner was part of that 2012 HOF induction as a team so safe to say that at least the most decorated team among the 2 was the original Dream Team.
It makes me a bit sad that for Dream Team 1, Bird was barely a shadow of himself at that point. But Dream Team 2 was a monster roster. I mean in what world is prime David Robinson your third string center?? That's absurd.
6 part series by Jonny Arnett in depth of different ways why mj versus leflak is the goat channel on you tube really good each part focuses on a particular level that mj outplays lebum in every facit of the game
Little known fact..I don't think that team really got along from what I heard from Grant Hill and pippen etc when they talk about that team and the experience.
Unpopular opinion, the 1996 team is better. MJ is MJ but his absence can't make up for how deeper and stronger on the frontline the 1996 team was. Obviously with MJ that team would have been by far the best team ever.
5 players were on Dream Team one and MJ The best player in the world, let OTHERS play bcuz he not selfish like Lebron and want al the glory. But its funny that Dream Team is called old yet 5 players are there 4 yrs later still leading the way. I dont think the best team minus the best player at that time is better but they are great For those who think '92 was old, the avg age was 28 and that is prime athletic age. 2024 is the oldest team in HISTORY OF OLYMPICS Dream Team One Won 5 Mvps, 11 rings and 19 finals appearances after the Olympics.
@TheRealMindCrime I can't even count Magic just BIRD due to back injury.... Magic one year removed from finals and 2 from back to back MVPs in 92. I dont think he retires if not for Karl Malone and others fear of him playing with AIDS. 1991 he had 19.4 ppg 12.5 assists 7 reb 2 blocks per game. He was only 32 yrs old in '92. Stockton played 20 yrs who knows how long Magic would have played. He is still a hoops junky
@TheRealMindCrime If they think 92 team is old, what do we call 2024? Lol... They are oldest olympics team is history. '96 also older than '92. Facts are the avg age is 28, which is prime age for athletes.
Scottie Pippen should have been DPOY in 1996 and multiple other times as well, but when you're sharing defensive shine with 2 other top 10 defensive GOATs in MJ and Rodman, it's hard to win that award. that could be another reason why neither Pippen or MJ won a DPOY after 1989 and Rodman after 1993 who played with DPOY Robinson and then Pip and MJ...
@@TheRealMindCrime and LeFlop still thinks he was cheated of the award when the only great defender he played with was prime Wade for like 2 years. i guess there was also Battier and the annoying Varejao and Delly 😂😅

Ohhhh. Ok, better to just tell me the name of channel and name of the vid. I'll find it. But send me a fresh comment instead of replying to this one so i make sure i see it. Thanks man!
People gaze of Jordan so much it’s annoying as hell. The 96 team has like 5 players from the dream team. They had plenty of fire power from the shooting guard position to make up for the lack of Jordan and they were much better at every other position
OG dream team gets a lot of attention cuz that was the first time we saw pros playing in the Olympics for USA Basketball. Still the greatest team ever assembled imo. I'd give 96 team second and the Redeem team 3rd
Dream Team 2 definitely had the better frontline with Hakeem and Shaq instead of Ewing and Laettner. they also had Grant Hill instead of old Larry. Dream Team 1 had the slightly better backcourt because Stockton fractured his leg and was ineffective in Barcelona so they relied a lot more on Magic and Pippen as well to run the offense. Stockton was way better in Atlanta. Penny was nice, but he's no MJ and even retired Magic was better than Payton. Drexler was better than Richmond or Reggie; prime Mullin probably was too, but he got seriously injured shortly after the Olympics. Robinson and Penny too. 😢
@@TheRealMindCrime Robinson was great in 92 but he was still there in 96 lol. i guess i could compare him to himself lol. Barkley was a bit worse in 96, Malone a bit better. i mean Shaq replaced Laettner essentially and Hakeem Ewing. that's pretty huge imo...
I’d rather have the same guys in 92 than 4 years older in 96. Except for Shaq, this was the best version of Shaq. Even by the Lakers 3Peat, Shaq was already starting to get out of shape.
Dream Teams are cool and all, but why doesn’t anybody talk about 1984? I’m not saying they were the best team ever assembled, but they were the last group of amateurs to win the gold. Certainly that gold medal is more valuable than any that came after it.

96 dream team's the most underrated USA squad in NBA history.
I think so too. They were a great squad
96 beats 94
People were still riding high from the '92 Dream Team.
Crazy that Chuck led I and II in scoring. Criminally underrated

The Great&The Legendary USA Dream Team 2 same as The Great&The Legendary USA Dream Team 1👍🙂🥳
Hey you, definitely my pick would of been 1996, if they had MJ on it. So I pick the original dream team. 🎉
Same! If both teams had Jordan than I'd give it to DT2. But MJ on the OG teams wins it for me
