Great reaction y'all! I love this song so thank you 😊 it takes me back to my grandfather talking to me about these very things. Growing up in the Great Depression in Kansas & Missouri. WWII he would talk about if you asked but he wouldn't bring it up on his own. Despite being a veteran in WWII, in The Battle of The Bulge as well manning a tank in a special infantry unit, I only knew him as the living example of unconditional love. This song gets me in the feels & takes me back to childhood - a different time & place, a different lifetime. ❤

I wish I had the pictures from my grandparents. After grandma died about 10 years later, my grandpa got remarried. After he died, she threw all those years away. My family had to deal with the dust bowl also, FDR wasn’t particularly liked back then.
