Recently I took my boys to some alpine single track for a ride. It has been very rewarding watching them make strides in this sport. They are going to be much better riders than me in a very short time.
Kase is 10 and still riding his 2018 KTM 65 SX - we are hoping to move him up the the 85 with a few months.
Konnor is 13 and riding a 2021 KTM 85 SX 17/14 wheel size (small wheels).

I love riding with my boys. The moment I put my youngest (14) on a 125. I knew I was in trouble. In under a year he has completed near 100 mile races and finished in as close as 5th.
Yes I could and so could my son. Having watched my son come up I know right you are. It's a great time watching your kids progress. When he's big enough get him a 105 big wheel. They are amazingly capable bikes!
Kids are getting way better fundamentally and looked faster than last time on the vidz… great job guys!

What kind of radios are you using to talk to your boys while you ride?

@Daniel Ferris when I was 10, I was on a 2002 Honda xr 70. I am currently on a 2021 Honda crf 250r
My son rides a yz85, I take him on the same section of single track. Good for kids who are just learning. Very flowy and not a lot of chunk. Also 157, is good for kids, just north of road 85 is good all the way around Ant knoll before you come to the big hill.

Very cool flowing trail. Boys are kicking butts for real! My 8 year old is riding the 65SX as well. Hopefully I’ll be able to take him to a trail next year! I switched from a KTM 350 to a YZ125 2 stroke! So 2 strokes for life now lol.
Hey Kyle, if you ever find yourself sitting around wondering what you can do 😂 would you please compile a playlist of rides with your boys? My grandboys are learning and they really dig watching this stuff before getting ready for bed. Hi to Connor and Casey, they're kicking butt! Good teacher obviously. 👍💪✌️
This is awesome! I miss riding with my four kids. They are all grown up now and out of the house. Sometimes we can get together to ride but rarely. This video reminds me of those days. Thanks for the video!
Stay on yer bike dad i got this🤣😂👍👍.. I did the same when my son went over the handlebars and cracked a rib on some single track. Weather they think they need the help or not, DAD is always there. Great job introducing your boys to the dirt bike world and the conservation aspect of it also. Great foundation for future great men👍👍

I am extremely lucky to be able to say that yes I was about that skilled at that age. I take very little of the credit as I had a dad and grandfather that were great teachers. Dad always taught me the more technical skills and grandpa taught me how to sack up and send it when I had to. I hope to be able to teach a son or daughter of my own one day.
Brings me back. At 11 my first bike was a 79 KD100. So much fun on trails like this.

I wish we had super smooth trails like that. It’s been a challenge for my youngest daughter (11)to gain confidence when we have mostly rutted, bumpy, rocky trails
So jealous. I have such a hard time finding single track or really anything like it in Alabama here. It's mostly rock crawlers and mud holes. I guess people cant yeye with a beer if their hands are holding the bar. Also yes, and I still do it now at 26 haha

As a Michigan rider I can relate😂 learning in the deep Michigan sand is really tough for beginners. Especially for kids on small bikes.
I like how you were providing feedback to your boys. What system are you using? My wife just started riding, and our first time out she did a slow-motion crash and broke her leg in two spots. I think I could have prevented her injury if I could have been providing feedback. Thanks for the great content!

Bike up cause I always had a quite heavy. But I’m 15 now with a Ktm 250 xc tpi now and can pick my bike up all day

When you move Kase up, get a kx85. The power valve is tuned to give more low end and is great on the trails. My dad has ridden a few 85’s and he said the kx has by far the most low end.

I did an 86 and 105 years ago and they were a pain. I cornered a mechanic and the dealership and said if you don't tell me how to fix this bike I won't be buying anymore from your dealership. HE TOLD ME THAT WAS THE ISSUE. Stock carb just SPARK and it ran like CRAZY then!!💥💥💥💥😇👍💥💥💥💥
