@@richardmaun7319 Dial is cool but to be honest the strap isn't that great. Also had to return several in the past due to QC issues so it's kind of left a bit of bad taste in my mouth. Currently, mine just sits in the watch box most weeks.
I have the Seiko SRP77 and it's an awesome everyday. I switched the blue strap with a standard black Seiko rubber diver and it makes so much difference. Wear it to the pool and beaches all over.
I have the light dial STO Manta. Truly stunning dial, awesome blue silicone strap, and I got it used at a steal, $295. Original owner traded it back to Mimo's and it is mint. Great video Russ.
My favorite on your Jomashop list is definitely that Save the Ocean Turtle dark manta ray dial. My current favorite Seiko below $500 is the Seiko SRPL15. All black 41.7mm diameter case and just epic and tactical looking.
I’m so glad I picked up the seiko king turtle in the ODGreen color, And I still can’t believe I found it well under the 500$, Under 300$ was an amazing deal
I would add 1. Citizen promaster Diver eco drive/ Automatic (probably the best Diver under 250) 2. Citizen Garrison eco drive (Titanium case and sapphire glass!) 3. Seiko SSK GMT 4. Orient Bambino
As you mention, the Hamilton Khaki mechanical, I love the simplicity and it wears so well on the NATO, I've never tried it on the bracelet so I'll not comment on that option. You even get to connect with it every few days to feed it some power, something that some of us appreciate.
Great list MWC! Currently waiting for the “ladies” DS Trust to be delivered from Jomashop - couldn’t resist the price as I am currently in a weird Certina / titanium phase of my watch collecting journey 😄
Jomashop is good but the warranty is useless in my experience. Also, the exchange rate and shipping for OS buyers can result in being better off buying local
Citizen Promaster Land Chronograph Green Dial Men's Watch (which I happen to be wearing today). Great watch, with the awesome Eco Drive, Radio Controlled, 200M WR, really nice green dial, nice bracelet with milled clasp and sapphire crystal. Great watch for the money.
Seiko 10 yes I got this dark manta my first turtle I only collect seiko but this had to be my first one as it’s king and really fits my wrist so well grab them before there gone I got a Japan model from USA new £370 all in great watch
I got my orange Bulova Oceanographer from Jomashop. Fantastic watch! The Seiko Turtle would be my second pick from the list, although I bought mine from Long Island Watch.
Unfortunately Mathey-Tissot does not offer a sapphire crystal on this model but instead a sapphire COATED crystal. I see Jomashop lists it as sapphire. It’s still a cool watch but please be aware if you are considering it.
Got the Benrus 3061 a few month ago.... love it... the military historie and the fact that Steve Mcqueen put his own on when filming Bullit was the nail in the coffin for me. Now its sold out, but this one is very similar.
Yeah, I got my Khaki Field Mechanical from Joma. My choice would be it or the KF auto version, the Timex North Field Titanium, or the Timex Q Chronograph.
Yes, great prices on Joma, that is correct mate. I was about to pull the triggah on a Gshock there - but then I canged my mind and went for a DW-6000 on Ebay. (Used to own one 30 years ago). And now i also want a dw 6300 Frogman. And wow, I didn´t know they had LACO on Joma.
Seiko still sell some great watches. Need Tissot to get a better movement in their entry level watches to replace their plastic movement that can be repaired rather than replace.
Have the turtle, tortoise and a tuna. Simply great watches that I actually prefer over many of my much more expensive pieces. If someone wants a truly cool square watch with an automatic movement instead of quartz try to find Hamilton Lloyd.
I’d only seen Mathey Tissot watches in a cheap mall shop near me and assumed they were junk. Seems I wasn’t far off. Despite their apparent history since 1886, their website seems to be mostly cheap homage watches (lots of badly disguised Rolex and Patek copies). There even seem to be knock off Tissot Gentleman watches. Most seem to use Ronda quartz or outdated Landeron movements. You’re probably better off with a Fossil.
80hrs power reserve isn't a bad thing... if you are not wearing it on the weekends and/or have 2 watches in rotation. Love Citizen but not this one. I'd go with an SteelDive tuna for about $90cnd... has an NH35 and a sapphire crystal.
I guess he avoided Casio's better dive watches... At $145 ( with a manufacturer warranty ), their solar diver is a nice departure from the rubber and plastic we usually see. I'd rate it easily as decent at the job as any of the $400-$500 models he suggests. The MTPS120L-3AV vs a typical Hamilton that looks nearly identical? Easy choice - save the money. I don't think he's ever reviewed it, though?
Mainly follow you for G-Shock content, but I'm getting more interested in luxury watches. I truly find most of these watches quite off-putting. It makes no sense to me why someone would want a watch that costs up to $500 when they could get a $50 watch that does the same thing. I'm thinking about buying my first entry-level and I've been looking more in the $1-3k range. I'm torn between the Omega De Ville Prestige and the Doxa Sub 600t. Outside of this my most expensive watches are my full metal G-Shocks.
Wow! Well those are 2 completely different watches my friend! The design, the brand, the movement, the history it all rolls into the price you pay my friend.
Good offers, Russ, if you know what you are buying with warranty etc. I didn't see the Sinn I'm dreaming of though... 🤣 That Citizen is just awful, btw...
Hahahahaha I’m just playing my friend. However the Doxa 300 sub that came out in the 1968 was the first to have an orange dial. I think the devil diver was another soon after! I also missed the Seiko monster! Came out in the 90’s but of a cult following that one has to!
My wife needs a digital watch with alarm function, to take her medication on time. Since Russelll doesn't answer me, I'm asking you as a community today.
To be honest the prices on the seikos are not that good. I have that king turtle and brought it from a retail store when it had just come out for less. And I'm in australia (Yes I converted the currency) so given we pay more for everything here it kinda surprised me.
@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR customs will still ask for the 50% anyway, Funny Thing is prices. I've bought myself a Khaki King with bracelet at 784us at a decent shop, but a Seiko 5 sports GMT is about the same price at every phisical or online shop . NUTS.
I havent watched your newer videos of the last 6-7 months, but i started watching you again the last few days, and I have to be honest and say this. There is a difference in how you present watches now. Its a bit obvious you re working in favour of a company - a sponsor. Please do some changes. Please say your opinion more. Please dont "review" 10 watches in 10 minutes. There is no point for us. You're just presenting / advertisig the shop. Thats no good. P.S I still love you
Love the Turtle Dark Manta. It’s my daily driver and it always put a smile on my face.
I have one too...such a cool dial 😎

I have the samurai version because I prefer the arrow hands and date instead of day-date. The dial is the same and beautiful
@capo328 same its awesome. Unfortunately, I spent like 500 and now it's for sale for 390 😂
What's your wrist size I love these but my wrist is 6 3/4" so think might be too large
I love the seiko save the ocean king turtle. Ceramic bezel + sapphire crystal. 🔥🔥🔥
I'm glad you put Citizen in the right place, thank you.
I have the Seiko SRP77 and it's an awesome everyday. I switched the blue strap with a standard black Seiko rubber diver and it makes so much difference. Wear it to the pool and beaches all over.
Oh come on, the Seiko Orange Monster is also allowed
My thoughts exactly!

Very nice top 10 list, My favorite one was the Benrus watch which reminded me of the new Omega Seamaster Aquaterra. Keep it up! 😍😍
Cool vid too many seikos not enough Citizen. Gave it a like tho.
The Bulova for me. I deffo like that.
Benrus is the winner amongst that lot for me, good daily beater that 👍🏻
I’m so glad I picked up the seiko king turtle in the ODGreen color, And I still can’t believe I found it well under the 500$, Under 300$ was an amazing deal
Very nice list! i have the same dark manta but the samurai version, stunning watch! have gotten compliments from people that arent even into watches.
I would add
1. Citizen promaster Diver eco drive/ Automatic (probably the best Diver under 250)
2. Citizen Garrison eco drive (Titanium case and sapphire glass!)
3. Seiko SSK GMT
4. Orient Bambino
All great, but I especially like that Certina, because I did not know it existed. Thanks for the great list!

Awesome!!! It looks bigger than the size suggests!
All really good choices. The Benrus has got me interested. Also like the Bulova.
I just got a beautiful mido Chronometer for $479. It’s a 42 mm dress watch, but it suits me. Jomashop is straight gas!

That “Black Manta Ray” version is … 🥰
Those Seiko Tortoises are absolutely gorgeous, pity they’re so difficult to get now.
Im a big fan of the promaster aqualand series, currently at my 5th vintage one. I just cant stop the addiction. They're just awesome.
Great list. I’d love to own about 7 of them.

Bought a Dark Manta last year, it gorgeous, I will tire of looking at it and wear it all the time.
Would really love to see some tabs on each watch in your videos. Love MWC!!!

Just bought my Seiko great white shark brand-new (special edition) for only 295€, so happy with that
Strongly agreed !!! Thanks !!!
Benrus is very overlooked company. I have the DTU 2/A. I think one the best Vietnam era military watches. The original
I would suggest looking at a Mido chronometer, they have a couple under 500
