one of the best videos I've seen in years ... answered many questions and concerns .. impressed with the newer engineering of the python compared to the older version. They changed a lot more thinigs than I imagined .. and now that price don't seem too high. Good job on the visual comparison of parts. The new seems quite interesting to me, yet I would not trade my old Pythons for new .. as they just work so smooth. Definitely not a refinement of old design, but almost a new design

Thank you for the comment and thank you for watching. I am making new restoration videos and more detailed comparison videos now so keep your notifications on for that.

Just to say, it took me too long to fibd your video. You are the only one that showed the internal differences, instead of reading a textbook. Congratulations on your dedication to us

Wow ! I never would have gotten them back together ! Good to see the difference between them at the same time on the internals. Great video ! Have a Blessed Day

On your video, you point out several times a round stamping on a few of the internals on the new Python. Are they MIM parts? The reason I ask, is from reading some magazine articles and reviews, and some videos, they state the New Python uses stainless forged internal parts??

Hello. Yes those parts are mim but the more important parts like the hammer, trigger, and timing hand is forged stainless steel. The one mim part that I think they should not have used is the cylinder stop. I'm sure aftermarket companies will be making upgrades soon like wilson combat making a much better rear sight.

@@rustyrestorationww1ww2 Thank you for your expertise, I just put a new 3" Python on layaway, and will be refitting it with Wilson sights.

Nice! I looked at a 3in 2days ago and I'm thinking I might just pull the trigger and get it.

@@rustyrestorationww1ww2 I am surprised Wolff Springs has not made a replacement main spring (or full spring kit) for the 2020 Python - 2021 Anaconda yet as they did for the old models.

Where can I buy one of those screwdrivers?

Well you have to qualify for it first then after you have mastered the art of scratchery to the surface you can apply for the unumtanium screw driver that is guaranteed to never scratch or strip out a screw. 😁

I think your screw driver is really made out of unobtanium@@rustyrestorationww1ww2

While you have them open a light coat of mineral oil on the inside for preservation is a good idea

I like to use a marine grade grease like Lucas or hoppes white grease. I haven't used mineral oil before but I'll look into it for sure. Thanks!
