I felt so dizzy and tired today and I thought how there was no way to do my regular core routine which is like intermediate level. So I thought lets do the beginner level(always go back to the basics, always a beginner) and when I started I was feeling like I was not even able to sit down properly lol By the end of the routine I felt so rejuvenated and full of life. And I learned a new way to look at my core. Thank you Mira!

I have to admit that the presence of your cute dog has helped a lot: if fact it was a learning opportunity as well. We can see how gracefully we can deal with surprises and interruptions during our everyday life, like you did, using with gentle observation, clear boundaries and also accepting reality. And finally we don't need to be perfect and have everything under control, to feel good moment by moment: we need to be flexible in our body and mind. Lovely

Do you have any tips though on how to strengthen my wrists? They hurt so much when doing the " all-fours"-exercises, that I cannot even complete them.
Can I ask a question about breathing? When you inhale and aim to expand the ribcage, do we want the stomach to expand as well? Or do we keep the stomach flat and tight without expansion and aim to only expand the ribs? (As a classical singer I know what it should be for singing purposes, but I’m curious what the answer is for Pilates….) thank you for being such a calming yet motivating presence in all your videos. I thought I wouldn’t like workouts that weren’t HIIT or using weights but I’m loving your particular style of teaching Pilates. I especially love the educational aspect that you give.

Since I am beginning can someone more experienced tell me when we do inhale and chest expansion do we fill the lungs and the stomach with air or we just breath in with lungs if you know what I mean. When we inhale do we fill the lungs and stomach with air or just chest? And when we inhale in pilates do we also need to pull our abdomenal muscles in or they are relaxed on the inhale?

Great workout: lots of abs burn. I like the straight back lifting up in the bridge: it’s different from the roll up and down. The new set is very nice too! Is your dog a Schnauzer? Thank u!
Everyone has fast and slow days. On my slow days I change the speed of the video. You can do that by pressing the cog/settling on the video controls and then playback speed, I set it to 0.75 speed. I might sound a little funny, but this gives me time to relax, breath and move a little slower.
The class levels are created from the level of the exercises. This video contains BASI Pilates beginner exercises. Beginner doesn’t necessarily mean easy depending on your body type, strength and flexibility. I also have absolute beginner videos on this channel. They are a great way to build your skill and master the exercises that you find difficult 💪🏼💖
