Great job on these videos and for conquering Emory Pass. I hit that mountain from the other side on my 2010 Southern Tier trip. I got caught in rain/snowstorm near the top. Luckily, I was rescued by a local who drove me back into town and let me stay the night at his place. That man was one of many Trail Angels who saved my ass during my trip. It's been 14 years since my cross-country ride and I still think of it nearly everyday.
I know that road, and it's no joke! I recognized the top of Emory Pass from the thumbnail and knew immediately what you were referencing. I would love to ride that one day.
congratulations on doing Emory pass. Enjoyed the scenery, rooster and forest. It was funny watching the volunteers all stare at you as you went by, probably wondering is that the race! 🙂
For past reference, there's usually water in Iron Creek at the campground. It just runs underground by that upper site. I learned that when I took 3 days doing the climb you did in one. That pass is a dang monster. Way to go!
Great ride Beeline. Love the chill vibe. Ya that camp looked super inviting vs stopping in town. Sometimes rustic camping is the best on a trip like this. You could likely sneak a cellphone into a diner to film the eating if you wanted; of course it could be awkward as well. All the best man.
Another great video and a window into your travels .And for non cyclists I would say that the graft you would have have to put in to get up that mountain is super human .I have the latest lightweight racer and with that headwind would not have fancied that trek one little bit .Well done and the editing is spot on.On the bike sounding rough I would get a full service asap inc greasing both wheel bearings and replacing the bottom bracket/ Crank all cables ect the bike has served you well don’t come unstuck soldering on .
Loving your videos! Great story telling, calm demeanor, interesting places and images. Great job. My family and I followed this path almost identically, from Florida to New Mexico. Silver City has a great bike shop, Gila Hike & Bike, nice people!
I was curious which tripod you use for the stand-up shots. There seem to be a lot of the market, but I havent' seen a good one that is also companct enough to travel with.
BF - thanks for another great video...I've been watching and waiting for your next update. Interested in knowing what chainring and cassette gear ratio you have for those climbs.

The deciding whether or not to stay put or move on to the next town is always a challenge for me.
Saved this one and glad I did…Best vid yet!! Tough climbs 😅 and great banter as always. Upvotes to you Beeline

What a view at the top of that pass. Wish we had places like that to ride here in southern Ontario

Nice videos so far, that looks like a nice time of the year to tour the area, it was smoking hot a couple of years ago when i was there in mid June.
Great Stuff.. funny I’m working on my climbing for future challenges.. this video popped up.. Very Interesting 😁 I’ll be cheering you on 🚴♂️😎🍀
Epic ride! Did it in 2022 in the other direction.
Amazing Job man. I know the way down had to be refreshing
you make the climbs look easy I can't even go a block of a hill LoL
I rode the Southern Tier in the other direction and stopped for lunch in Hillsboro myself.
Love your work
