This may have been one of those moments in life when you might have considered adjusting your plans. My dog found me nine years ago when I was not looking for a new one. Fortunately, she knew better.
I'm so sorry about the puppy. I think Arizona has a really bad stray dog problem. It sucks when there's not much you can do because you're just passing through. Hugs.
I'm loving your videos. Nice to see a fellow Canadian recording such a great adventure. I rode from Toronto to New Orleans back in 1990 and am itching to do another epic trip. The Southern Tier looks pretty attractive. Safe travels!
Most polite moment ever in the entire history of bike packing videos…I’m just gonna eat this over here in the grass…instead of getting this nasty city park table messed up. Well done, good, kind, Sir!!!
😭😭😭😭😭 puppies are sooo dang cute! I don't know how you got that 'parting shot' so perfect, but you could see the puppy running after you around the right turn and down toward the highway. Hopefully the young creature stopped and visited with the person walking. Your heart must have been ripped to pieces.
Ya I once backpacked across Ireland and we had two dogs follow us for 2-3 miles walking. It is heart breaking thinking they are just looking for a home. In Ireland they let the dogs roam wild all over the place so you get to meet dogs 1-2x a day some days. Some dogs would jump stone walls and fly up to you. You thought you were dead, but they just wanted to play and have fun. Dogs are definitely mans best friends. Instant friends. Have a great ride man. I've been trying to get back into riding after 20 year break and its hard to get some miles on. LOL
Maybe the dog surfaced something you are missing on your trek: social interaction. It’s a lonely life you are on right now so I hope you are not sad. Take care, young man! Ride on!
Have really enjoyed this series! Gives us an amazing insight into what our very close fellow Kiwi friends (who you rode with briefly) have just ridden! 😀👋👋
8 flat tires? I rode the trans am in 2012 and had 2 flats on one pair of schwalbe marathon mondails. Gatorskinz are supposed to be pretty durable. Does it throw off your riding rhythm to stop and set up your camera for those ride bys all the time?
Hey Beeline I love your journey and keep going Buddy. Can I PM you ? Just to chat about your future plans. Nothing real top secret just want to try and convince you of your next route. Anyways, keep up the work. LOVE IT!
Fantastic and well worth the wait ! I know things are restricted and your burning energy but man you eat some really processed shit is there nothing better?
Looks like an IronHorse. They were manufactured in New York from 1986 - 2009. Looks a bit older and looks to be a steel frame. This is a bit of a guess, though. Just going off what I can see in his videos.
How tender 🥹. You totally got me welling up. Plus that plaintive music. I’m just imagining how nice it was to experience that little moment of unexpected dog affection.

The pup chasing you brought tears to my eyes
Yes, me too.

You can always see the actual good in people when they treat animals with kindness..🤙🤙
The music with the dog…dirty pool, Sir. 😢😢😢
😢You took your broken heart and made such an artful, emotional video. My husband and I both sat with tears in our eyes long after the video cut off.
This was an excellent episode. Keep it up!
Love the videos of your journey. That pup was a tear jerker 🥺

Each new video is like the next chapter in a favorite book. Happy trails.

Later that day I took a nap on the grass there and woke up covered in gravy. Now I know why.

Ah the dogs 😃 I had a pit bull follow me 5 miles in Louisiana and one of the locals said he does it all the time 🐕 lol
Awesome video ! Well done 🥲
Brought a tear to my eyes…
You gotta go back for buddy!!! Cute lil fellow. Great episode. Very emotional 😭

Awwwww. Thank you for the tear jerker. 😢

Welcome to the valley! Cool to see lots of familiar places in this vid. Make sure to stay hydrated!
🥺 wow that hits hard.
Man this ending was a tough one bro and I’m not a dog guy
The shaking of the fire starter sparker after you lit the stove
I understand how hard that decision was for you, but I couldn't have done it. That's why my house is full of dogs. Here in Mexico this happens daily.
I got the same problem with a dog. No matter how many times I pet her and feed her, she just won't go away.

That dog is still chasing you 😭
What were the temperatures in Phoenix while you were there?
I’m rocking the fruit and nut mix now as I’m on the road myself. That shit is a lifesaver.
Tears. Ugh.
Heartbreaking 😢😢😢😢
yeah broke my heart as well, fu...
You'll have to get a pup side car for your bike trip back to Florida.

@@jamesbenson5637 thanks brother really I love this bicycle
let's see...you feed him and you can't figure out why he's following you?
