Trying a Butcher's Breakfast! - What was in it?

- The traditional Full English Breakfast is a national dish in the UK along with Fish and Chips and can be found across the country in every town and city. But in today's video I try a breakfast thats a little different to the usual version. Its called a butcher's breakfast! What is the difference? Find out in todays video.

If It tasted as good as It looks, then I'd give It a 9.6 out of 10! Just missing black pudding for a ten! lol
For the price I would have nicked the teapot too!!!
There are plenty of great Fried Breakfasts available out there my friend... Many of them will offer their customers at least... Two Fried Eggs... Two Pieces of Toast... Two Sausages... Two Rashers of Bacon... The only other meat available here was a small Belly Pork Strip... And a tiny amount of Chopped Chorizo added to their Baked Beans... The two Rostis were simply in place of the regular... Two Hash Browns that would usually have been offered... There wasn't any of the following items either... Black Pudding... Fried Mushrooms... Tomatoes... Fried Bread... Bubble and Squeak... Bread and Butter... When you're paying almost £20 for a Butcher's Brunch with a Pot of Tea... You would certainly expect at least some of the missing items listed above... And as well as those missing items... Their Butcher's Brunch looked pretty dry to me to be perfectly honest... It definitely needed some Tomato Sauce Juice that you would normally get with regular Baked Beans... As well as a Fried or Grilled Tomato... Or even some Tinned Peeled Plum Tomatoes... I personally don't think it was worth the money really... I would've gone for their much better value Classic Breakfast priced at only £10.95... Rather than paying £15.50 for their Butcher's Brunch. 👍

@@philipmckeon8944 Cheers mate... I've checked the other comments on this video review too... And it seems that this food reviewer will answer anyone that agrees with him... That it was worth the price... But he usually ignores those that don't agree with him at all... So why on earth is he always asking viewers at the end of his videos... To tell him what they think of this Butcher's Brunch... Or indeed any other video he does... It's got to be for the TH-cam algorithms that promote his videos to others... But he shouldn't ignore viewers leaving legitimate comments and opinions... That aren't agreeing with him... Alienating viewers like this is a ridiculous thing for him to do... All he's showing... Is that you'll get a reply or a like if you're in agreement with him and his point of view... My comment had one of the highest likes of any comment on here... Which means that more people agree with me... That it wasn't worth the money in our opinion.
But obviously he doesn't care about anyone else's opinion... If it doesn't align with his thoughts... Anyone that scrolls down the comments... Can clearly see that anyone that flat out disagrees with his opinion... Are completely ignored... People will get wise to his tactics sooner or later... I've watched him from the start of his channel... When he was driving to his local Fish & Chip Shops to review them while he was sat in his car... And using his own Knife and Fork that he'd brought along with him... But once he started to get a few more subscribers to his channel... He only seemed to answer or like comments that agreed with his opinion... I'm getting tired of wasting my time commenting on here... There's no point any longer mate... I'm done with wasting my time on here... As he's now lost his way... And only seems to be interested in dining at the more expensive places.
Well said Rick. I also remember him in the car reviewing chip shops. As you say he’s going to the expense and upmarket type of places. I’m constantly complaining the food is too expensive for what you get but then subscribers hammer me. There’s no winning. 👍
That looked a fantastic breakfast. However, it did look a bit dry and expensive. I’d still love to taste it. 👍
£18 is very expensive to not get a black pudding and I would have added some sauces.
I just would o gone for an unlimted breakfast at Toby Carvery/Spoons than th is rip off!

I suspect the ambience of the place adds to the price tag. Which, well, you know that makes sense. Sometimes you want to eat at a place that is a bit nicer than your average pub. The food did look great.
£18 is horrendous for this looked good tho
That looks absolutely fantastic. Whoever put that together knows their stuff. I don’t need juice or runny stuff in my breakfast as it can dilute the flavour and everything looks to have been assembled with the greatest of care. The crispy fat rendered in the bacon just enough, super crispy rosti, that chop looked divine, the eggs just perfect, the beans looked special and even the pre buttered toast so that it was soft and chewy enough in the middle but crispy on the outside. Sausages looked perfect too. It’s a solid mark from my side mate.
Are you mad?,or just easily pleased?, I don't mean that disrespectfuly in anyway, I just think that he was overcharged for what he received!

You got a good looking plate. Everything looked well cooked with nothing lacking. Those egg yolks looked really rich.
As good as your brekkie was I wouldn't call it The Best. For a really amazing brekkie... Next time you wake up in London with a ravenous appetite, head to my all time favourite brekkie spot: E. Pellicci over on Bethnal Grn Rd. Massive plates there. Also one of the few places left that still offer fried bread. If she hasn't retired yet, be sure to thank super-sweet Mama Pellicci. Last visit, she was in her 80's and still cooking 😱. You WILL taste the love in her cooking! Boss Nevio is a real character who truly loves everyone who enters!

Pellici is coming up a lot recently and been reviewed by a few TH-camr’s, it always looks packed, and I think they give you a slice of home made bread pudding to take home. It actually featured in an episode of Rick Stein’s latest series Rick Stein’s Food Stories, episode 9

Yes, "officially" the raisin sponge and bread pudding are on the menu at a charge. But I've yet to meet anyone who was actually charged for the initial piece, just for any additional portions. The place is busy all the time though they do close for a few days every Spring (something my crying heart found out the hard way 😫)
bit pricey for a fried breakfast. that said it did all look good quality and well presented.

Best way to eat the eggs in a breakfast: eat rhe whites with the other components. Take the yolk and spread it over the buttered toast, then combine that with bacon, or sausage, or black pudding. That would be my only complaint with that breakfast, no black pudding but the pork belly looked like a great addition!

The Classic breakfast was almost £5 cheaper and included shrooms and toms , the rosti's seem to have replaced the black puddings so that's an issue for me.
It was worth every penny if you enjoyed it mate but I'm a traditionalist so this just doesn't work for me.

Thanks god. I left England in the late 1990’s and black pudding was NEVER part of a full English. Since when it did become a ‘part’ . Even now living in another part of the world (Australia) their full English never has black pudding either. So I am intrigued where a northern delicacy suddenly was added.

Quality, if pricey, food. You don't need your now beyond boring "combo bite" routine with a meal where every component has its own unique flavour.

Mate that was a pretty impressive breakfast,ditch the potato rosti and beans,replace it with a rump steak or scotch fillet and slather that egg yoke on the meat and wash it down with a beer,Aussie butcher breakfast,and yes i am a butcher

Good review of a good looking breakfast although I'd say it's a fiver overpriced. I can't stand baked beans so those chorizo beans looked a much better option, however the already buttered toast would go staright back as to me that's not acceptable.
Looks like a pretty average breakfast to me. The sausages are obviously pre cooked and kept warm. The eggs are very small, and the placing of the Ramikin in the centre of the plate is an old trick to make the plate appear full. Take the toast off, and lose the ramikin, and you have a breakfast that would half fill the plate and be worth no more than £10. If you want to see a proper breakfast go over to Gary Eats and check out his video on breakfast at Pallicis. Double the size, and £6 cheaper.
Wheres the fried bread mushrooms proper beans HP brown sauce or tomato ketchup and cuppa tea or filtered coffee

Close to 40$ aud on a breakfast,id rather get 2 sausage and egg mcmuffins for 7 $ doesnt matter how good it was ,when places think they can charge 20 quid for 2 eggs some bangers and bacon and beans it will only get worse also did u add the 10%

the eggs look like there cooked in a metal ring, not sure I would say a big breakfast. for the high £15.50 price 11 items. and £2.90 for the tea.
were is the sliced tomato. or tin tomatoes. no mushrooms. or black pudding.
Do think your paying more for the art work in the place.
It may taste nice but your pocket is taking the hit vs a £3.14 traditional breakfast at Wetherspoons. or making it yourself.

I think it looked ok but I don't like pepper so to put it on the eggs I would have sent it back and asked for eggs without pepper. Think condiments should be your preference on a breakfast not a chefs.
Well to start, I'm not convinced that this can be called a breakfast. Even as a brunch its sadly lacking. If we accept the trio of eggs,sausages, bacon& toast( but not pre buttered sourdough!😢) where are: proper old-fashioned baked beans, tomatoes ( fresh or tinned) mushrooms, fried bread and in a good eaterie bubble&squeak Blackor White pudding. And if you must have potatoes with your breakfast should be sautéed. So time to take the purse out £18.40. To be honest the food, in my opinion was not worth that amount. However the location was spectacular, might sway some people. But its a no from me cheers Allan&Family

£18.40 had ya pants down there better sausages than most breakfast and a bit of belly pork but you get a breakfast anywhere in uk for £7-£9 mark (which also include toms and black pudding) . And tbh the beans the potatoes didn’t look that great the eggs are just eggs and same with the bacon.Nothing special imo. Oh no mushrooms either criminal😂
