£24:00 for a breakfast 👀 bit of a rip off if you ask me...posher the establishment = more overheads and guess who pays for that 🤔... Cant score it because i wouldn't pay it....where we off to next Lee? ✈🌍✈
Who puts three large slices of toast on the main plate and half a dozen tomatoes 🍅 still on the vine 😂no side plate and the sachets 😮then charge you £25 .and you give it you give it 10 out of 10 😂😂😂
Regarding dogs in eateries some people have similar views about children in pubs. Personally I don’t object to either as long as they are well behaved and don’t disturb people wanting to have a quiet drink/meal. If we take our dog with us she lies right under the table and does not beg for food. Another great video Lee.
£24.40 for a breakfast with a coffee and you get sachets of sauce ???? And you give it 10/10 Don’t ever moan about the loss on your milk float again Lee….
It’s great to see it’s dog friendly. My little pup came everywhere with us. Being poorly and senior he was often in a dog buggy but he was better behaved than ALL the children we came across. Fortunately Western Australia has a lot of dog friendly cafes but sitting outside is doable with our climate.
Fook me you should be or already an Auditor for spotting that detail. Did you spot JAPENESE RICE also ??? LOL under Korean Crispy Chicken???? Enjoy MacMaster
Good Evening Lee. The Wonderful City of Leeds. Used to be know as the Party City. The Farmhouse Restaurant. This was one of those Off the Charts places. Beautiful Decor, Excellent Customer Service with a Smile. This was the Perfect Full English plate of Goodness. I Love Tomato's on the vine. I would have eaten everything on that plate. I would say that there Menu looked very Good Substantial Fare indeed. Lee, this must be visited again for some Lunch and just try something different to Savour. My Score in Total....... 13/10.. Thank you Lee.
One field mushroom is worth several spoonfuls of tinned mushrooms, on the whole it looked superb and for a large city and premium produce I think it was a fair price.
Fck me. At my local farm shop, full english is £7. Propper sausages and black pudding all sourced locally. Plus fresh farmhouse toasted bread and jam/marmalade. Shout out to Bolster Moor!
it looked good but I've seen better and for a cheaper price! i always ask for no beans and no black pudding and i love tinned tomatoes on a Breakfast. Lee please try the best I've ever had at the shamrock cafe in Bebington Liverpool it's massive and cooked to Perfection with free refills on the Coffee
Looked really good, but having to pay extra for the the hash browns (which I’d never go for anyway) is a bit cheeky, so a point down right away, HP in sachets another no-no and the overall price is a tad dear so a 7 for me no matter how tasty it was
12:17 i do like poached eggs when they're done right, and these eggs are perfect. But so difficult to judge the cooking time. Fried eggs are much easier to cook as you can watch the yolk and the white the whole time. It would be worth asking the cook in that restaurant what his or her method is. Were these eggs poached directly in water? Or using poaching pods? Or even in a microwave?
Have you ever seen the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway down ln Kent. The worlds smallest public Railway, mostly steam trains. Well worth a visit, even if it is a long way from you
That's a fair plateful and well presented HOWEVER , I would never eat vine tomatoes and beans on the same plate. Either beans OR plum tomatoes. It's like eating Chicken Kiev then covering it with gravy. Your point about HP sauce coming in packets was spot on.
One of the best looking breakfasts I've ever seen, looked like a farmers brekkie. Plate could of been a bit bigger, everything looked crammed on. Poached eggs looked amazing, prefer them to fried. But the price, OMG expect 2 brekkies for that! Another great review though 👍👍👍
Very nice , excellent food by the look of it . think at that price they could have included black pudding and hashbrown and maybe left the toms out ? Will be giving that place a try when im in Leeds ,its a 10/10 from me also
Gary Eats paid £50 for a breakfast for 2 at the Hawksmore: smoked bacon chop sausage black pudding hash browns grilled bone marrow trotter baked beans fried eggs grilled mushroom roast tomatoes unlimited toast HP gravy In London, so worked out £25 each between him and the cameraman. Stunning ingredients - as much as this place looked good I can’t help but thinking for Leeds paying nearly £15 for a breakfast and then having to pay another £5 for additions of hash browns and black pudding is a bit of a rip off. It did look good tho 😋
I had 'vine tomatoes' on an evening meal I had in the hotel I stayed at in Launceston, Tasmania turned out to be 4 cherry tomatoes witha bit of vine laid across the top of them. Great hotel though
Just had a Beef Carvery 'twixt Derby and Ilkeston for 1/3 of the price...Even Brought a goodly sandwich worth home. I'll stay down here, Ta.....Lovely Staff, but no "I've got a name" Chef. Hence the price?
£50 for two if having same as you, not what everyone can afford to pay now days, not for me for due to price as you can get some fabulous breakfasts for around £6 to £8
Overall,as Iam married to a chef who did breakfast for over 17 years in a hotel, I would have o give it an 8.5 I think. But overall looked great to be fair. One, the plate was far too small for the amount, schoolboy error. Two, I know a lot of restaurants serve tomatoes on the vine but they are not, in my opinion fit for breakfast and inclined to be served to look posh. really. Three, I have looked at your poached eggs three times and, for me, they looked almost perfect but just slightly under cooked, I think even an extra half minute would've done as they did look very lightly snotty, Four, way way overpriced, even for a city, I could have just about accepted it if the hash browns and black pudding were included. Or why not offer hash browns, or black pudding or tomatoes as we have always found a lot of people not that fussed about tomatoes. All that said, it obviously looked a good bit above average.
£25 slightly expensive breakfast there Lee despite it looking a nice place to eat. Not a black pudding fan but I do like to see tomatoes on the vine fresh and tasty. Great recommendation. Incidentally I worked on the railway for 23 years however now retired.
$30.88 US is too expensive for a breakfast. In the USA, hash browns are not a separate priced side. You can also ditch the black pudding (whatever that is). My recent ham & cheese omelet (with added tomato and grilled onion, no extra charge), hash browns with two slices of buttered toast and two grape jelly packets (three types of bread choice) plus a 16 oz coffee was $16.41 for the meal and $3.55 for the coffee, totaling $19.96, a savings of $10.92 over your overpriced breakfast. I even consider $19.96 too expensive so i rarely go out for breakfast these days. I can buy 12 jumbo sized organic eggs for $5.00, a ham/cheese/potato breakfast bowl for $5.00, add two eggs ($0.84) in the bowl, season to taste, add some shredded cheese and microwave, then top with salsa, ~$7.00 total and brew a cup of coffee for $0.60, so $7.60 is a lot more reasonable cost for breakfast. Most days, breakfast is the coffee and a bake shop pastry for ~$3.60, ten times less expensive than that full-sized English breakfast. If you are going to be eating that full-sized breakfast every day, it's time to sign up for a gym membership to work those calories off.
Black pudding is made from a pig's blood sausage with added spices. It is wonderful to eat occasionally. But you have to get the taste for it. It sounds disgusting but it is very tasty.
I’m the same can only sit in the direction of travel. Best idea to use a park and ride or train into town centres now - wish more people would do that in St Ives

Hi Macmaster, just back from Benalmádena n the drunken sailor. Told em you sent me n they couldn’t speak highly enough of you n they were really helpful 👌
£25 for a breakfast and you gave it 10 on 10?! I thought you were a proud Yorkshireman? That's eye-watering! No wonder it was empty inside!
'ow much? 😂
Like me, he's from Nottingham so isn't a tightwad!
@@Michael43713 £25 for a breakfast? Are you the sheriff of Nottingham?!
Dodgy … mushroom … Dodgy black pudding … hash brown … dodgy price … think that was one for .., Sarah .., 🤭
That looks a tasty breakfast lee
Lee, this is madness. £24 for breakfast is bonkers. Our lovely takeaway delivery for two tonight was £14!
Good win for the Sky Blues against Leeds on Saturday. Food looked really nice.
£24:00 for a breakfast 👀 bit of a rip off if you ask me...posher the establishment = more overheads and guess who pays for that 🤔...

✈🌍✈
About time you chose the salad option... Or a vegetable.. my arteries have hardenned just from watching your vlogs from the last 2 weeks!
Final comment: £24.40 was an absolute rip-off. Being charged extra for a hash brown is crazy.
Ridiculous price for a breakfast.
Who puts three large slices of toast on the main plate and half a dozen tomatoes 🍅 still on the vine 😂no side plate and the sachets 😮then charge you £25 .and you give it you give it 10 out of 10 😂😂😂
Some people need to take their Assistance Dog with them and surely you can't begrudge them doing so. Nice vlog, thanks xx
Good point Susannah
Guide dogs fine. 👍🏼
£25 for breakfast
Shocking
Never worth £25 that Lee & I if it wasn't for your girlfriend recommending it you would never score that a 10 .
Nice breakfast. Quality produce but come on £24 for a breakfast. That is steep
Looked great but £25 for a breakfast I'd expect to pay that in a top class hotel in London.
Was that a freebie, it says no payment received on the receipt... Least it wasn't £50 that gary eats paid in London, but expensive for add ons
£25 each hat didn't look bad for a fancy breakfast in the smoke. You get dinged for £15 p/p in a normal cafe 🤣
Paid contactless. So yes I did pay. Revolut
‘Posh breakfast’ it’s a fry up… overpriced!
£25 for a breakfast ???? You could do breakfast for 10 people for that ! Absolutely scandalous , who do these people think they are ??
£24 for a breakfast? Do you get a voucher for night with the Minogue sisters as well?

Some dogs are better and cleaner than some people, i think you will find.
They still sell bacon in Leeds ? I am shocked, lol,
Very funny. Same as East London now. Lol.
eggs snotty, one mushroom? no tin toms. a score of 6.5 how much you must be joking
When did they build the cathedral in Harrogate ?? City?
got to be a 10
Extras very expensive
Cities and cathedrals are not necessarily linked. A city becomes that with a charter, not a big church.

He's becoming a bit of a fraud to be honest.
have they stated to install chargers in rail carparks yet ,it seems the ideal place eg charge and ride?
Onwards my friends😊

British Rail? I long for the return of British Rail given today's shambles. Great work.
Absolutely shocking price
Mr Mac, all that expense and attention to detail, right down to the posh water bottle on the table, yet they couldn't spell Tomato 09:50. 😞
Haha how did you even spot that, well done x
Fook me you should be or already an Auditor for spotting that detail. Did you spot JAPENESE RICE also ??? LOL under Korean Crispy Chicken???? Enjoy MacMaster
Almost dubbel what I pay in London, tea included.😂❤
I recommend crust and crumb or olive and rye
Thanks for the video Lee

At first, I thought it was a little expensive, but when I saw the quality, I thought that breakfast was fantastic

Great video lee as always. Do you use a mic? As the sound is perfect.. Any tips please 🙏
Yes I use a Shure MV88 plus
Train stations are exciting. 🚂🚂 Big stations usually have variety of sandwiches. 🥪🥪🥙🥙 Cucumber sandwiches are my favourite.
Owwwww much! Minus 3 points for the price, however add one point back for the 80s music.
