@@brokentoolgaragea decent converter would probably shave half a second or better off those times. Probably tires as well once you do a converter traction will be an issue. My aod gt convertible runs mid 8s in the 1/8.

Really could never get my tires to break loose on launch either in my AOD GT. Automatic 350 IROCs would.
I peddled it a little bit. The rear end clutches need rebuilt. Probably will upgrade the control arms when I am in that area.

With your mods on the factory AOD transmission would you happen to know how much horsepower you can take?
It probably won't hold much more. The input shaft is the big weakness to the aod
