I am a tinkerer that generally works on and and tinkers with automotive projects. This channel is showing how I do projects from home and I hope that you are inspired because of (or in spite of) me. I will be soon expanding into mechanical experiments. You can also visit my Facebook page and my Instagram page (Broken Tool Garage) for additional content!

Your biggest error is in your lack of a specific testable premise. You are testing a direct radiant heat source with different types of insulation, barriers, and random items. In a very short radiant test, it should be obvious that a reflective radiant barrier will be better. An hour long test would still be short. Don't assume this is a good, direct, or reasonable relation to the heat gain or loss on a structure over time. Most summer gain is due to the difference between the interior and exterior, not the direct heating from the sun. You performed a radiant heat gain test not an insulation test, there is a large difference. Also if you want to test a foam insulation, buy a manufactured foam board, not a DIY can. The R value of foam is generally listed per board, spray applied is generally listed as per inch, some foam applies multiple inches per coat. Fiberglass and similar insulation are required to be contained on 6 sides to meet their listed values.
Thanks for the info! I have foam board and though about testing that one. I would like to do a round 2, but I don't think this test rig is going to get me there. Thanks for dropping by.
In the UK , the building department sends out an inspector after sunset and uses a thermal imaging unit and checks the building for thermal losses, and if it doesn't pass, the contractor has to do the job better based off what the Inspector observes...
Ah, okay. It would be nice to see this test scaled up to a storage shed or something.
I bought that same evap core, unfortunately the 93 w350 chassis has female ports on the manifold
Wow now that is a truck! Is it different because of the 93 year? That was the only year of square body and the Magnum engine.
@ im honestly not sure, its the 5.9 diesel, i bought the four seasons brand… everything is perfect minus the manifold, mine is female and that brand is male
@@tonysmithjr4214 They could have sent the wrong one. Good luck
God damn what fucking siz
Same thing with my HF purple spray gun. Couldn't get the nozzle off without using a 19mm opened end wrench. It was really on tight. Thanks for the review.
You are welcome. Thanks for the info, I considered that one too. The silver 2 gun automotive gun works great though.
Excellent Video. I'm glad you made it! Very informative. Glad we found each others channels!
Thank you! Yes, same. That Ryobi heater is working great btw.
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT

I just cut worked out better
Nice! What tool did you use to cut it?
😊

Your going to need the clutch peddle assembly to convert it to manual 💯👍✌️
I pulled a complete set from the junkyard last year, transmission and all (Video - Junk Yard Picking in July).
@brokentoolgarage sweet if you didn't I would of offed a set I also have the manual set up. I no some thing are hard to come bye. When you're talking dodge and Plymouth. Iv got a 84 4x4 ram charger 76 4x4 power wagon and a 67 commando sports furry . Besides the power train. On dodge Everything thing else on them hard to come buy if you don't already have one. That for sure💯✌️🫡
@@josephsaucedo8691 Nice! My Dad has a 78 Powerwagon. You are right on snagging parts. I look for them in the junkyard. I got another set a few years ago with the exception of the bellhousing (sl6 truck)
@brokentoolgarage it's funny you mentioned junk yard all the ones around me iv been through most of the time people get referred to me if there looks for certain dodge parts the d and w 100s iv picked up everything around me a few years ago. Some one would have to recently sent it to the salvage yard or I'd know some one usually ends up notifying me if one comes across that and ram charger. I'm none as the guy that picked up everything a few years back. When it comes to dodge junk yard parts. Iv also had a few parts cars . I also my have family members that dismantl for there yards.💯✌️👌
@@josephsaucedo8691 Cool! That is a good place to be. Not many of those trucks show up around here. I pick those and the Fox Mustangs - pretty slim pickings these days.
To stop and kill rust use rust mort it work really good to stop and prevent it for under por 15 also great stuff used righr.💯👍✌️

Great review Brotha!
No problem, and thank you
Looks great! It’s kind of cold outside and I want to do mine. Will the cold affect the outcome?
Well, I'm in the South, so normally no. You need to make sure it is warm enough for the cleaner to evaporate (say 50F and sunny). Thanks for dropping by.

Sure sounds great!
Thank you! Since, I have upgraded the ignition system and fixed the valvetrain - sounds completely different - videos to come
@ i’m sure the longer pushrods helped a lot! Great choice on the beginning verse. Fitting!
@@BigStickStangs Thank you!
that thing sounds angry!!!
It sounds a lot meaner now. Upcoming videos fixing the ignition and valvetrain. Thanks for dropping by, and I can't wait to see your new toy!

Where does that ground strap go that is connected to the fire wall on the passenger side ? Mine is not connected to anything.
Check to see if it attaches to the back of the cylinder head. Most of the time a firewall ground attaches to the engine somewhere. Thanks for dropping by
Firewall to engine, mine is on an intake plenum bolt…

Wow, thanks awesome video. This will be a huge help for an upcoming project rebuilding the one in my 91 D350
You are welcome! Thanks for dropping by.
Would a rivnut work? Or is the metal too thin?
A rivnut would be awesome. I don't have one of those tools yet.
Nice! 👍
Thank you.

Thanks Tim. Happy Thanksgiving
Where did you find your cable? I can't find the right one online.
I read the part number off my old one and ordered the same part number from Amazon.
Congrats on getting the truck running
Thank you! More tuning coming up on it.
Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Getting there. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT brother
Thanks Tim.
You really have a mind for wiring! Excellent job Brother!
Thank you! That is what it takes to keep these old rigs running.
Absolutely great short. Took me years to discover the bleeder valve. Mine did not lock in place either. But made sure the vent was upward 👊😎✌️
Tricky stuff. The book certainly helps
What would you do if one of the wires in a factory plug in the dash is loose? My headlights only work when the switch is hanging under the dash, won’t work when the switch is installed unless I reach up there and squeeze the wires. New headlight switch already installed. 89 Ramcharger can’t pass state safety inspection due to this issue.
You can try Rockauto or parts store for a new connector. If that does not work you will need to put a new terminal on the loose wires.
Those Probe Gt turbo were cool but when repair cost nearly as much as the cars value most were scrap
Why engine swap is made so hard now days?.
That and they got next to nothing for the car - scrap metal price...
Newer engine and keep it street legal
Такой сутенерский салончик)))) супер!!!
Печалька не спасти движку
The sad thing is the person who sold it got a lot less money for it than it is worth.
Blown engine,seized turbo.
Probably. Still all together, straight, clean car.

Excellent video BTG! The Maximum Motorsport spring tool is inexpensive and worth its weight in gold. A third hand for anyone doing these by yourself as we do. Great to see you doing work on Fox. 👊😎✌️
Thanks BSS. That tool is only needed for the stock springs. I just had some tidy up work on JYM. It needs an engine before I drive it again.
@ 😕 Sorry about the engine. What’s the plan?
@@BigStickStangs I got an exploder engine I will rering and put my upper end on it. I plan on building a flow bench so I can properly port the heads and intake as well.. Plenty of content coming up for that next year.
@ i’m looking forward to it!

Great job on the truck. I really enjoyed the brake video last week. Great step-by-step, helpful for people that have not done it before. I forgot to comment, my Hot water heater went out. That was fun replacing that. Always something. Have a great weekend! 👊😎✌️

Shoes are on wrong, primary shoe the smaller padded shoe goes in the front, it acts as a lead in for the drums forward rotation
Thanks for dropping by and great info! Yes, the shoes go on leading and trailing

Not a bad little vid, sir. Your choice of background music is far, far better than most!, too. I just had done to my '16 F150 a complete refresh of it's 8.8 Super, adding a shorter gear set (4.09 from 3.31) and a Dee-troit Truetrac helical gear-type limited slip. The reason for the large swing at the drive ratio is the truck is now wearing a tire that is 3" taller than what it was built with. At 2" taller than stock is when one should start saving some dough for a re-gear. The aphrodesiastical qualities! of the raw scent of 90 weight gear oil does indeed! hang around for a few days, doesn't it. It LINGERS. Ahhh... life is good. Cheers.
Thank you! Yes, the shop smelled like it for like a week!
