Fam, i had one of these at 17-21... Im now 38, oldest kid is looking at buying their first car... im super tempted to get another MR2, low key so i can drive it when their not looking! haha best car i ever had, including owning a SRT JEEP, BMW X5 M, never had more fun in any car than i did with the MR2... I used to wind the headlights out to be half up and drive around like I was a boss! hahaha good times!

I looked at getting one when I first started driving 14 to 15 years ago but bought into the "it's a super unsafe death trap" BS. I wish I'd never listened cause now the price has gone up 10-12k. At least they remain in the hands of people who really care for and love these vehicles rather than in scrapyards across the US.

im somewhat new to learning about how cars work and i was wondering if the gear grinding would be a detrimental issue for a car like this.
If I where you since your just starting out I’d avoid any trans work until your comfy with lube work and brakes and things of that nature
how do you reach the engine bay in a mid-engine car? is it easy?
How do I apply the sealant for the T top to stop the leaks because man it is annoying.

I have a 1997 Rev 5, red top beams vvti, non-turbo, auto, 'sonic', tin top, it's quite rare so hard to get parts for, I usually repair anything that breaks, trim etc, but anyway my question, coil overs or kings springs, it's already low but i'd like to drop it an inch or two, and do bigger sway bars front and rear make a big difference?

cheeky check in a couple years later, I remember getting mine for 4700 and my mate picked one up the other day for 22500
Actually it was the Rev 2 that fixed the snap oversteer (you can tell cause it has wider tires and 15 inch wheels compared to the Rev 1 14 inch)
So if I brought 15 inch tyres for my rev1 that would fix the snap oversteer?

Gears don’t grind normally, only with age with both s54 and E153
So, is the stock transmission and drivetrain suitable for a turbo charged v12? Because that’s the kind of mod I want to do

How the heck the swap only cost 2k you do it yourself?
the T-bar seals are the same price as 4 new tyres and it's a 1 time fix for 15 years.. makes no sense, just get new seals if it leaks. rev2 was the steering and brake change, rev3 was just more power.

Check your emails! I sent you a link for brand new seals for your Targa tops. No mods needed just replace them... did you adjust your hand break you should only have 3 -5 clicks when you apply it..
