When you replace the engine cover guys with the campsites cover you need to put a rain cover on some how incase it rains which makes your water pump and alternator bearing wear out it's a common problem love you guys respect.

Not much rain in southern California .
I've been rocking no rain cover on my mr2, for a while with no issues. Runs much better actually on longer runs because it doesn't heat soak as much

Loris Orlandi as a first car? Isn’t it really hard to work on? I love the 300zx but heard it’s impossible to work on? Is that true?
@@meatballman4120 Yeah, i worked for 2 years and saving all the money and then i remember when i was playing granturismo 1, so i bought 300zx :) aaand Yes.. really hard to work on, you don't have space for nothing.
The 300zx is a pain in the ass to work on but like any other car as long as you do maintenance and the 120k kit you'll be fine
Meatball Man No, you’ve clearly never owned any Z, all the Z cars have massive engine bays and more room than almost any other car around the engine to work. If you think a 300zx is hard to work on, then you should just send every car you ever own to the shop instead of trying anything yourself. That’s about the easiest car you could ever own besides a 350z
Loris Orlandi what. You clearly have never worked on cars very much, 300zx have PLENTY of room compared to most engine bays, you’d have to be an idiot that’s never owned anything but a 300zx to think there’s no room in the engine bay. I own one that’s 1jz swapped and has all the room in the world. I can literally get to every single bolt nearly without struggle. Coming from a fabricator who does tube framing work and shares a shop with an engine builder and tuner, I’ve banged out many firewalls, transmission tunnels and even cut them and replaced them where we needed. I’ve never had to modify a Z chassis to fit an engine or trans. And my 300 has a 1jz, my 350z has a 6.8l lq4 that’s fully built with a massive single turbo kit and a massive gforce topshift transmission and it fits fine. Sure the radiators rear mount so that frees up room in the front but the engine has room all the way around, I can even get to the back of the engine to undo the top transmission bolts without much trouble whatsoever. These cars are some of the biggest engine bays out of any car on earth. So it’s definitely not difficult to work on unless you’re an amateur who considers the easiest cars to work on ever built hard to work on.

Not alot out on MR2's so appreciate this content. I have been wanting to finish one out with no wing at all. I think it would be a different look. Also would like to put nsx headlights from later years, non-flip up. You guys could do that sweet with your Porsche touch. I like the wing you chose better than any I've seen. Most tasteful MR2 I hve seen.

Enjoying the MR2 content the most. I'd like to see you guys use the MR2 Turbo engine (3SGTE), don't put something weird in it. The Turbo engine responds really well to mods and some HKS mods would be sweet. Keep it going, these MR2's are iconic and deserve to be built right. Keep up the great work!

I'm still doing the finishing touches on a 91 MR2 w/ a K24 turbo swapped into it...simple pump tune, putting down 425 at the wheels.
