This is the first North Korea blog series that I've truly felt is natural. Amazing. Seems either you have a lot more freedom than those in the past for filming or you just have balls of steel 😂
It’s amazing how afraid people are (including myself) of this country and the people seem like very nice human beings. They’re just good people stuck in what they’re born into.
As with every country in existence the government are a very different animal than their people. America, UK, Russia, China,etc all have good people and the governments are to blame for evil.

I loved watching his videos .. but after seeing this video so scripted it's a shame.. I wont be watching him... it was all bull what he was saying ..

Maybe the people around the swimming pool were paid actors by the state, but I would’ve thought the last think on North Korea’s mind was to hire Simon Wilson to sell their place for them! I see why you’re saying it, but I don’t think he’s been paid to do this.

I’ve watched loads of North Korean tour videos but your is genuinely different, it’s the first video where the vlogger actually gets out and meets the locals and you show the tour guides to be normal people who you are just having a laugh with, and you seem to building great rapport with them. For those of you curious, at 3:45, he was asking "What country are you from?" Literally translates to "Which land person are you?". Thankfully the Korean he spoke was the same as South Korean language so I could tell lol.
I mean yeah I would find the petrol clams absolutely disgusting but I would be a whole lot more subtle about it. Quite aside from the clams, they had fun getting wasted on soju.

One of the things I've noticed, with these and other North Korean videos, is something you mentioned about "squatting" while eating. I became obsessed with the "Asian Squat," and its purported health advantages. The feet need to be firmly planted on the ground/floor, with the ankles not raised, which is how we do it in the rest of the world. Apparently, a lot of Europeans and people of European descent, find this very difficult. Try it! I discovered that I could do it totally naturally and since then, I've done it on a regular basis, which often draws comment!
