My last day in North Korea! Had such an amazing experience! I got the train into the country and I’m flying out of the country on North Korea’s only airline and it’s also the worlds only 1 star airline called Air Koryo! I’ve got a business class seat so I was interested to see what it would be like! With Air Koryo there is no first class, only business class and economy as the flight is only 2 hours back to Beijing! Hope you enjoy!

I’m from Ireland and we use Ryanair all the time. This flight is definitely better than any Ryanair flight I’ve taken. There’s no lounge like that at the airport, you have to pay for a bottle of water if you want water, the seats look much more luxurious. The airport was completely empty with full attention.

I couldn’t care about the plane, as long as it takes me A to B… I’m happy enough. Would never pay extra for a fancy seat 10x the price of economy.

@@dillydally7327 for a 2 hour flight, sure. But try 12 hours in something like Ryanair, which non-low cost airlines are more and more trying to imitate. Business isnt 10x, more like 3x-4x. Best economy I have experienced was Russian Aeroflot, which I guess I wont be taking in the near fututre :D

I believe the reason they were so hard against camera use from the plane is that there is a major ICBM installation on the southwest end of the airport. Its seen easy enough on google earth, but a relatively close up, oblique shot they don't want. The normal flight path Air Koryo takes to Beijing is near other sensitive sites as well- albeit at altitude.

I was once flying out of Saudi out of a huge airport very modern, but with no stores, n restaurants, nothing but a lounge, and a single flight going out. This was during times of Middle Eastern conflict. Our flight just came out of Oman, landed, and was back in the air in less than 15 minutes. Weird vibe.

i went to korea 4years ago..and i took air koryo.. but i dont see any reason why they are being rated with 1star.. ive been in many flights flying with different airlines but i dont see the difference between air koryo and other airlines that i took.. i received good service from air koryo.. i appreciate their staf trying their best to understand and speak english jsut to communicate with me..
Same here. They were fine in 2013 when I flew. Nice modern plane, comfortable seats. The food and entertainment were poor, but they don't deserve 1 star.

I went to South Korea back in 2008 as a 15yr old with a martial arts team. Unbelievable experience and a huge culture shock. The people were ALL lovely!

I had a strikingly similar experience in first class on a US airline a few years back. VIP treatment until on the plane, then small seats, no food, cramped, etc., but at least they offered me orange juice. This can’t be the worst airline.

The boxes were to be bought. The food offered in the plane is not the same at all, it's "free" because in some ways ypu pay for it when you buy your plane ticket. So he had the right not to buy the boxes and to get food and drinks ! Even more because he was in a business class (so paid more) !

@@joon3900 because it is obvious that it is souvenir, to be buy. No airplanes, even less the North Korean, put the free food in such packages ^^ ! Some airplanes offer you to buy perfumes or else during the flight and that is what it is here.
