St Augustine, please pray that my very well educated son and daughter return to the one true faith. I suffer like St Monica.
Ask them to pray as an “experiment“, or better watch out for an (God given) opportunity when you can convince them to give a try as ‘a last resort‘.
You can always lead when an opening presents itself...but remember..we bring no one to Jesus..that is the work of the Holy Spirit!
@@mathewjoseph5987 I don't remember the names of the men..but your comment reminded me of the grace given to them by the "miraculous medal"...I don't remember the details..but 2 friends..one has to run an errand and left the unbelieving friend waiting for him in a church..and I think he asked him to say a prayer for a deceased friend with the medal while he was gone..by the time he came back he had a full conversion..and I believe he became a saint! Ha..now I'm going to go look it up to clear my memory! Thank you! 🌷
Be strong, pray constantly and persistently as St Monica did for her son St Augustine. Visit or phone an orthodox Catholic book store such as the Daughters of St Paul and ask them to recommend books that might inspire your children to return to their precious faith.

No one is beyond the grace of God. Like my aunt used to say, "we all have skeletons in the closet". It's so inspiring to read the book "the lives of the saints". We are all on the road of continuous conversion to become closer to our Lord 🙏. Everything in accordance with His perfect time and His holy will. + This was a great homily Father. Omniscient God knows how to recruit His chosen ones: this “aspiring” rhetorician was led to be humiliated first by Ambrose but convincingly by Paul’s letter, that too written three centuries ahead of him. For a man, who considered the materialistic Cicero as a model worth emulating, Paul’s insights on ‘things beyond the material world’ must have convinced him that it is God who bestow the graces to excel even in literature.
I’m so lucky to have come to st Augustine’s confessions. I also studied Plato first. ❤ I’ve chosen st Augustine as my patron saint in confirmation.
