Go Rilla Yeah, Paul Frehley is a god, the fake Paul is an obnoxious poser. Paul Frehley is also such a nice guy that he agreed on having Stanley guest on his next album, despite all the #€ %& thrown at him by Stanley in the last couple of years. Ace all the way! He's the real deal.

His 1978 solo album, his first, is probably still his best -- that said, his 2018 album, 'Spaceman,' is REALLY good!

Ace and Eddie Van Halen are the reason I play guitar [for better or worse]. The legend LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I worked for a concert promoter in the 80’s. VanHalen played a show and Eddie had just stopped drinking so their manager asked me to sit with him in his hotel room. So I got PAID to hang out with Eddie VanHalen!!! He was really cool and just a nice guy. Even though he had just played a show he spent the rest of the evening playing guitar in his hotel room. After a while he said he was ready to go to bed so I left. I got to play his guitar, he gave me some picks and instead of giving me an autograph he wrote me a little note and signed it. It was awesome
Robert Frias....agree with all but I would add 'The Riffmaster', Steven Maynard Clark the real genius of Def Leppard who had it all, he was, remains their primary song writer, he created the harmonies, melodies, riffs, hook and bends and was a rock star who strapped low oozed cool. Steve's playing was mesmerizing. His loss remains incalculable.
And both Ace and Eddie are both of Dutch descent
I was named after Eddie by my dad and he was pretty upset that Ace made me pick up a guitar in the 90s on that reunion tour, but what can you do? I love EVH more than anyone else but Space Ace is just the best man

Not the only incident of it's kind. I actually met a woman who was a groupie in the 70s and 80s and she told me she had Gene fuck her while he had his dragon boots on and his makeup on as well. Some chicks man...lol
I'm watching this for the 1st time, but I've seen several interviews with Ace. He seems to be a pretty down to earth type guy. Very easy to talk to. No ego, from what I can sense.

He meant the Wanderers. The Ducky Boys were a 1950's Bronx gang and shown heavily in the movie. Warriors is 1979 Coney Island-Bronx and back.

They often had other people play Ace’s solos on the records. He only wrote like two songs. I would say your comment is false.

I'm glad he pointed out that the necklace was the one he was wearing was the one that was on the album cover,I thought it may be but never actually knew for sure...it's amazing to know that he has held on to it. .a very cool piece,it's always wondered what it was it shows up clearly on that cover..it started interesting..maybe he should make some copies and sell them...I would like to know more about it

It is so amazing that Ace Freely is still alive and looking so good. And as I remember their appearance in Ottawa in 1974 I just realized that it is totally amazing that I survived the show and up until now.
Have to hand it to Ace. He was smart enough to copyright the Spaceman gimmick.
Ace does not own the makeup design, KISS does. Sad.
In another one of these interviews he says he owns the Spaceman makeup and leases it to Kiss. He said he still gets royalties from Kiss merchandise.
Hell yeah he was smart enough about that, he knew Paul & Gene would keep Kiss more like a business than a music band; granted all bands end up becoming a business but Kiss has a very frivolous side to it that I never liked at all...

I've always loved Ace. I was 14 when Kiss first came out and the songs written by Ace were really cool. His solos in concert are very entertaining. I also am a big fan of his solo work out side of Kiss

Ace meant the movie the Ducky's were in was The Wanderers not The Warriors - I don't blame him for the mistake - easy mistake to make.
Ace is awesome, he was my childhood rock star hero, I was always Ace. He's just very relatable whereas Gene and Paul always roll out prepared lines we've heard a million times before. Id love to have a beer with Ace, reckon he'd be great company.

That because Paul Stanley calls him Free-lee. I heard it's because Paul Stanley thought it sounded better.

First concert 11 yrs old Love Gun tour 1977 and at 15 I said I'd be a KISS fan for life and yep, 42 years later still am. Great to see Ace still doing well. Shock Me and Cold Gin still move me to this day.

Randy Jones then you dont know true talent when you hear it. Aces solos were bland. bruce had a unique character to it, solos were unpreditable. Ace was just the first KISS guitarist thats all. When Bruce came on board their music got heavy, thrashy, exciting, unpreditcable. Then when he has to leave it went back to Psycho circus which was good because Bruce pretty much wrote all the guitars on it already. then after that things have been shit ever since because Tommy is shit. Bruce brought KISS to life that no other guitarist did for them. KISS was great before him because Paul and Gene, Ace was always replaceable

Your playing started me playing and I haven't stopped since ALIVE!. Being a lady guitar player isn't always easy especially when I'm better than 90% of the guys I gig with. Just for fun.
