I love this song for how well it conveys the game, just the bad-assery of it, being one of the last people on Earth just decimating hordes of zombies, guns blazing. But this moment, 0:36, it perfectly summarizes the infected. A chaotic, aggressive, unrelenting mass of monsters unconcerned with even death that want to rip you limb from limb. It sends shivers down my spine, some of the best OST out there.
The badassery that sends chills down my spine especially, is the change of perspective past 1:00. The scenes showed in the second half with the deeper bass convey not only that they are decimating horde after horde like the first half, but it truly is hell and they only have each other. That each and every moment could be their last, that the infected will not and can not stop. I get goosebumps everytime I watch coach struggle to get up and nick coming to his aid.
